Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for December 2, 1999

WWF co-owner Shane McMahon tries to take the bat out of WWF Chairman Vince McMahon, then tells him that the only way he will hit Triple H with the bat is if he goes through him.

WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon shows up, and asks WWF co-owner Shane McMahon and WWF Chairman Vince McMahon, as she has something to say to her friends, family, fiancee and fans. Shane is seen trying to talk Vince into giving him the baseball bat before Dave Hebner tells them Stephanie McMahon needs them in the ring. Stephanie says the only person to blame is herself, and that she takes full responsibility for what happened in Las Vegas, Nevada, as she should have not have partied so hard and should have not taken that spiked drink from the bartender, who was in cahoots with Triple H. She remembers nothing about what happened and was as shocked as everyone else when she saw the video of Triple H marrying her last week, saying she felt disgusted, cheap and violated. She apologizes to those she might have hurt, especially her friends, family and fiancee Test. She only hopes that Test can find it in his heart to forgive her, but she will never forgive Triple H for wrecking her life and using her as a tool to hurt her father Vince. She says it worked, as her father is crushed, and tells Triple H that what comes around, goes around. Vince and Shane show up, with Vince still carrying a baseball bat. Stephanie tells Vince and Shane that she knows Vince and Shane want to protect her, but it is time to stand on her own. She got herself into it, and she will get herself out. She asks Vince and Shane to promise her that they will let her handle this her way and hold on to some shred of integrity. Shane promises, but Vince looks towards the stage as Stephanie pleads to him to promise. Vince reluctantly promises, then leaves the ring with the baseball bat still in his hand.

Backstage, Viscera is seen applying cologne and mouth spray, saying that when she meets Tori tonight, it will be a night she will never forget. He is then suddenly attacked from behind before the two of them are supposed to have a match tonight.

Viscera beats Kane by count-out. During the match, it is announced that Tori is not here tonight due to doctor's orders, as she is still recovering from the effects of the roundhouse kick to the head by X-Pac. During the match, X-Pac shows up and says that he wishes he could say that the spin kick to Tori was an accident, but then says it wasn't and that it was completely intentional. Kane goes after X-Pac, who runs to the back, and gets counted out. After the match, Kane beats up Viscera and eventually choke slams him. X-Pac returns, and Kane dares him to get into the ring.

Backstage, Al Snow is watching footage of The Rock attacking him on Raw. Al Snow screams to Mankind that The Rock took advantage of him coming down to help Mankind, and now he is going to take The Rock - whom he calls an "egotistical jerk" - apart tonight.

Mankind is seen looking The Rock backstage.

The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) beat Edge and Christian after Edge's left knee gives out after a top rope hurricanrana. After the match, Buh Buh Ray puts Edge's left leg in a half crab until The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) chases The Dudley Boyz out of the ring.

WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon is seen waiting for Test backstage.

It is announced that Edge has suffered an injury in the previous match. EMTs tend to Edge backstage.

Before the next match, D'Lo Brown says that he has heard The British Bulldog bragging that he is the best WWF European Champion ever, but he is the one who has won it four times and the only one to bring honor and prestige to the title. He calls out The Bulldog so he can shove his foot up his ass. When The British Bulldog shows up, The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) are ejected from ringside.

D'Lo Brown vs. The British Bulldog for the WWF European Championship ends in a no-contest. During the match, Val Venis shows up and attacks The British Bulldog, and D'Lo Brown sees this and fights Val Venis in the ring. This leads to all three men fighting each other in the ring and D'Lo hitting Val Venis with the Sky High. The British Bulldog retains the WWF European Championship.

A limo shows up in front of WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon. When she opens the back door and Triple H comes out, she runs away.

D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) show up with two shopping carts full of gifts. X-Pac says that what makes them so great is that they say and do what they want, and X-Pac says he will beat and humiliate Kane in front of Tori at Armageddon before ripping his mask off and showing what he has been hiding underneath for so long. Billy Gunn says The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg and Billy Gunn) will put the tag team titles against Mankind and The Rock. He has read Mankind's book and could not get past the introduction, and The Outlaws will show Mankind and The Rock why they absolutely suck. Road Dogg says there is no time like the present, however, and tonight, they and X-Pac face The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) and Big Show. They made The Hardy Boyz, but now they will break them, and while they are teaming with Big Show, but even DX can overcome him as he is not a mountain that they cannot claim. He then says this week is a week of joyous celebration, and brings out Triple H. Triple H shows up in a Vince McMahon mask and makes fun of Vince's walk to the ring, then takes the mask off and puts on his leather skull cap. DX then gives Triple H a portrait of the McMahon family with Triple H's head plastered over Test, two toasters (to which Triple H responds by saying he could never heat up that many buns), an iron, red lingerie, a box with nothing in it (an idea by X-Pac, who says he had the same idea for lingerie), and a front-row ticket to <>Armageddon so that WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon can watch Triple H beat up her father WWF Chairman Vince McMahon. Triple H says that as good as this gift is, he will up the ante by using his newfound family stroke and making his match against Vince anything goes and falls-count-anywhere. He then tells Vince that at Armageddon, Stephanie will sit front and center and watch as he beats him up until he cannot stand anymore.

Mankind finds The Rock and tells him about Al Snow. As soon as The Rcok says he will smack the taste out of Al Snow's mouth, Al Snow attacks The Rock and Mankind has to pull Al Snow off of him.

Before the next match, Mankind says he does not ask for a lot of favors, but he asks everyone to pick up The New York Times' Sunday edition, look in the best-sellers section and find some ex-Presidents, three Presidential hopefuls, a man who walked on the moon, two Pulitzer Prize winners, the Dalai Lama and Mankind himself at the very top, kicking their asses. He can't thank the book critics who are too stupid to read it themselves or the magazines who though the book was beneath them, so he thanks the fans for making his book number one. He would celebrate now, but he has two friends at each other's throats. He makes an appeal for Al Snow for acting like a total idiot as well as The Rock, and asks they forget about the situation and make it "The Rock 'n Sock 'n Al Connection." Suddenly, Chris Jericho shows up, and tells Mankind to cut it out with the sentimentality and tells him that neither man is his friend and that they both hate him. He also says the crowd hates Mankind, and so does he. He also says people bought his book to see if he died at the end of it, and tells him to accept his challenge so that way, when he write his highly-anticipated autobiography, he can name the first chapter "Anaheim: The Night I Ended That Pathetic, Feeble-Minded Mike Foley's Career." Mankind says he has a better idea: they can have the match right now.

Chris Jericho beats Mankind. During the match, Chyna and Miss Kitty shows up, and Chyan distracts referee Teddy Long so Miss Kitty can hit Jericho in the face with the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Mankind goes for the Mandible Claw, but he accidentally knocks Miss Kitty off the apron. This distracts Mankind, and Jericho rolls up Mankind with a schoolboy pin for win.

It is reported that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will undergo neck surgery in the future to relieve pressure in the nerves of his upper spine following the hit-and-run attack at Survivor Series.

Test enters the building, looking for WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon.

Before the next match, Kurt Angle says he is the most celebrated real athlete in WWF history, and tonight, he is willing to give another real athlete the opportunity to team with him, the greatest wrestler in the world. He says to compare an Olympic athlete to a black belt martial athlete would be somewhat degrading to his many, many accomplishment, but he is willing to give "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman a chance to prove himself to him and his fans.

Kurt Angle and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman beat The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) when Blackman inadvertently kicks Thrasher into Angle's signature slam.

Test meets WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon, and tells her he doesn't know what to feel anymore.

WWF Chairman Vince McMahon consoles WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon, and tells her to give Test some time to come around.

Hardcore Holly guests on commentary for the next match.

Rikishi Fatu (now known as just Rikishi) beats Crash Holly.

Before the next match, The Rock says that if Al Snow wants to attack him from behind like a true candyass, then he will meet him on the ramp and whup his monkey ass all over Anaheim, California, then he will deliver The People's Elbow and pin him one, two, three.

The Rock beats Al Snow. During the match, Mankind is seen watching the match from the locker room, then Al Snow whips The Rock into referee Mike Chioda, sandwiching him into the ringside barricade. Al Snow hits The Rock with a steel chair before getting him back in the ring, but The Rock kicks out. After the match, Al Snow attacks The Rock with Head, then The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) join in. Mankind then runs into the ring with a steel chair, forcing the Outlaws to retreat and Al Snow to get out of the ring after he swings the chair at him.

The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) and Big Show beat D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn). After the match, The Big Boss Man attacks Big Show from behind with his nightstick before attacking The Hardy Boyz, then leaves the ring before DX continues the attack. The Rock then runs into the ring and fights DX, as does Mankind. Kane also shows up and goes after X-Pac.
