Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for July 27, 1998

The show starts with a performance by The Nitro Girls.

Rick Rude, Curt Hennig, Scott Hall, Vincent, Brian Adams and The Giant show up. Hall says that if he hears Kevin Nash crying anymore, he might puke. He then announces that nWo Hollywood have talked it out with Eric Bischoff and Hollywood Hogan, and challenge nWo Wolfpac to a Last Man Standing Match at Road Wild where the last man standing wins. Hall talks about how nWo Hollywood has all the gold, with him and The Giant as tag champs and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart as the United States champ, yet there is one piece missing. Brian Adams takes the microphone and tells the fans to have "a nice hot cup of shut the hell up," talks about how he was kicking butt in Japan when he heard about "this fluke of a match" where Goldberg beat Hollywood Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. He got on a plane back to America, and told Hollywood to get him a match where he can prove Goldberg is a fluke. Adams says all of Goldberg's opponents were hand-picked and that his victory against Hogan was a fluke, and that Goldberg's luck has just ran out. He dares Goldberg to take his best hold and hold on for as long as he can, because he will take him for life and take the World Heavyweight title.

Raven is in the ring with Raven's Flock. Raven says he was told things would be different when he got older, but he was lied to. He was despised, hated and attacked for being different in high school, and it still happens now on a regular basis, whether it is Kanyon, Saturn or any representative of society's norm. As Raven asks "What about me? What about Raven?", Saturn runs out, gets in the ring and tells Raven he is sick of hearing him cry and asks him how tough it was being a spoiled rich kid. After Saturn tells Raven to get up so he can give him something to cry about, Kanyon tries to attack Saturn from behind, but Saturn hits him with a T-Bone suplex. Saturn is about to hit Raven with the Death Valley Driver when Kanyon hits him with the Flatliner. Raven and his Flock walk away.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan beats The Barbarian after dodging a big boot to the face, which accidentally knocks Jimmy Hart off the apron as he holds Duggan down for it. After the match, Hugh Morrus attacks Duggan, but Meng shows up and attacks Duggan. Duggan takes out The Barbarian with the 2x4, and almost does the same to Meng when he extends his hand in friendship instead. Meng puts Duggan in the Tongan Death Grip.

We see the sign "Star of the Show!" with an old, broken-down 1960s sedan next to it outside of the arena.

It's time for nWo Late Night, now known as nWo Nightcap. Eric Bischoff shows up with Miss Elizabeth, then Eric Bischoff makes some cheesy topical jokes before he makes fun of Tonight Show host Jay Leno's chin, says Hollywood Hogan is a biker and Jay Leno is not, and calling Leno's show "a drag." After making fun of some dumb newspaper headlines, Eric Bischoff brings out special guest Hollywood Hogan. Hogan says he saw what happened with Jay Leno, and if he was Leno's lawyer, he would have to plead ignorance or insanity. Nevertheless, he admits Jay Leno knows what he is doing and knows how to walk the thin line. He tells Leno he gave him a stern warning, but he knows everyone is telling him to come to Road Wild, and gives him one more chance to back off so he can live with a little integrity. If Leno does not heed his final warning, he will kick Leno's butt on his own show in front of the crowd, as he does not take being impacted personally or financially lightly. Bischoff says the footage of Hollywood Hogan beating Karl Malone at Bash at the Beach will be played as an example of what happens when a world-class jerk messes with Hogan, and announces that Hogan has more surprises to come tonight.

We see a performance from Fire of The Nitro Girls.

We see footage from the Nitro party of this week's Nitro Party Pack winner.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page, who tells Hollywood Hogan he sucks before telling him that everyone knows who and what he is: scum. Last week, Hogan got him beaten down, but he did not kill him and could not kill him. He tells Hogan not to hunt something he cannot kill, and says he will rid the world of him. He tells Hogan he is not even close to being a god, but if he gets in the ring with him tonight, he will feel the wrath and the bang.

Before the next match, Scott Hall, Scott Norton and "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes head to the commentary table. Hall makes fun of Kevin Nash again, saying he doesn't have the cajones to take him on, and says the Wolfpac might as well send Sting over to the ring to fight him later tonight. Dusty warns Zbyszko not to get in the business of nWo Hollywood, and says Zbyszko's placement on commentary was a collusion by WCW to rid the commentary table of him, and that Zbyszko butchers the English language. Zbyszko places a "gag rag" on the table, and tells him that if he gets involved in nWo Hollywood business again, they will gag him themselves, effectively placing a gag order on Zbyszko.

Scott Norton beats Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart with a kick to the gut and a powerbomb.

We see a video package of Goldberg.

Security enters Goldberg's locker room only to find it has been vandalized by nWo Hollywood.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart shows up, and says some congratulations are in order. A few months ago, he said the wrestling profession has become a long plastic hallway full of pimps and thieves where good men die like dogs...until now. After saying he has no excuses, he tells DDP to take his excuses and either show up to fight, show up to win or don't show up at all. Bret then promises to do his best as champion and give everyone a shot at the United State title, and become the greatest United States champ of all time. As for the altercation with Sting last week, Sting does not have to apologize to him, as it was a misunderstanding and all is forgiven, and that there is only one other wrestler that he has more respect for, and respects what Sting has done for wrestling and for WCW, and says he was screwed over by WCW and that they have similar taste in wrestling moves. He says it was Sting's own brash behavior that cost him the title, and that he himself had no reason to be there. He tells Sting to be a true champion, learn from defeat and win the next time, then says that the fans are the problem as they will lead him down the wrong road. He then tells Sting he is his friend and leaves.

Chris Jericho retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Dean Malenko by disqualification after Malenko is caught using knuckles that Jericho has introduced into the match, after coming to from accidentally being poked in the eye in the corner. As per pre-match stipulation, Malenko cannot challenge Jericho for the Cruiserweight Championship again.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund reports that local police and WCW security are guarding Goldberg's locker room, and that Goldberg is under guard.

Curt Hennig beats Steve "Mongo" McMichael after the distraction from Rick Rude.

Hollywood Hogan, Eric Bischoff and The Disciple show up. Hogan says he has the war bonnet on and that nobody is holding him back. He congratulates Diamond Dallas Page for taking one of the best ass-kickings he's seen in wrestling today, and says that when DDP tries to lie to anybody, he doesn't want anyone to hold him back. Page called him out, and now he's saddled up to ride him real hard through the night. He says that tonight will be the last wrestling match of DDP's career.

The match of Hollywood Hogan and Dennis Rodman vs. Diamond Dallas Page and Karl Malone from Bash at the Beach is replayed in edited form that shows Hogan and Rodman dominating on offense.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the third hour.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Goldberg for the very first time. Goldberg is led to the ring by a bevy of WCW Security and police officers. Goldberg says that whoever vandalized his locker room had nothing running through their mind, and that he has seen what Hollywood Hogan and nWo Hollywood have done to WCW, from the bottom to the top. What they did to him tonight has crossed a line and made it personal. Everyone who has been put in front of him has been destroyed, and it will not stop. Tonight, he makes an example out of Brian Adams, and says Brian Adams is next.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. Double-A says people close to him have asked why he was so hard on Dean Malenko, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Steve "Mongo" McMichael, saying they would give anything to be a Horseman. He planned to let tonight be his barometer and reorganize his thoughts, but Malenko blew his cool and lost to Chris Jericho, who he calls a man that Malenko should never lose to as he is a better wrestler than that. He says Mongo is an intense man in the ring, but needed motivation tonight as Hennig started the downward spiral of the Four Horsemen, and that he does not want to hook his horse to a cart with only two wheels. He tells Mongo to "let it be."

It is noted by commentary that the play of Hollywood Hogan and Dennis Rodman vs. Diamond Dallas Page and Karl Malone from Bash at the Beach was edited to show Hogan and Rodman completely dominating on offense.

Sting beats Scott Hall by disqualification after Bret "The Hit Man" Hart distracts Sting. As Sting beats Bret up, he is attackd from behind by Curt Hennig and Vincent. Lex Luger shows up and fights Hennig, while Kevin Nash hits Vincent with a big boot and a Jackknife Power Bomb when he flees back into the ring. Bret "The Hit Man" Hart continues to watch everything unfold as Hall hits Nash with a low blow ans stomps him. Sting hits Bret with a mule kick to the groin, but Bret is able to quickly escape the Scorpion Death Lock, which is similar to Bret's Sharpshooter.

Goldberg retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Brian Adams.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Scott Steiner, who pushes Buff Bagwell - who is wearing a neck brace - down the ramp with a wheelchair. Scott Steiner frantically asks if Buff is okay, and Buff laughs, taking off the neck brace and revealing it was all a prank. Buff asks the camera to focus on his scar, the result of C3 and C4 vertebrae being fused, and says it was all a planned attack. Scott Steiner and Buff Bagwell then brag about how they fooled everyone through the last few weeks, and Scott calls Buff "the best set-up man in wrestling today" as he set them up and Scott knocked them down. Scott then says that Rick Steiner has something he does not: compassion. He then goes on to say that he's beat up Rick his whole life, and he'll do it at Road Wild and get paid for it. WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon shows up and rips into Bagwell for how he tricked the fans, and then tells Scott Steiner to be careful what he wishes for as he will do everything in his power to make Rick vs. Scott official for Road Wild.

Diamond Dallas Page runs through the crowd before the next match.

Diamond Dallas Page beats Hollywood Hogan by disqualification after he is attacked by nWo Hollywood after getting the Diamond Cutter on Hogan. nWo Wolfpac shows up and fights off nWo Hollywood, then Goldberg rushes into the ring and takes out every nWo Hollywood member left in the ring. The Giant runs in and choke slams Goldberg as the show fades to black.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for July 27, 1998

RAW

The Undertaker shows up to start tonight's show. Last night, he Tombstoned his brother Kane into Hell, and he and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin are the WWF Tag Team Champions. They may be champions, but they will never be partners unless Austin shows up right now and apologizes to him. After The Undertaker demands an apology from Austin, WWF owner Vince McMahon shows up with WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco. Vince says he cannot believe his ears, and says the only reason The Undertaker demands an apology is because it proves that he and Kane were not conspiring. This does not fly with Vince McMahon, as what he did was the same thing Vince would have done and that he's not gullible enough to buy it, and neither is Austin. Vince says it took three Tombstone Piledrivers to take Kane down, and knows that both Kane and The Undertaker are near-impervious to pain, and goes on to say that if anybody deserves an apology, it is him, as The Undertaker put his hands on him last week. The Undertaker says he might do it again. Vince says he sustained a neck injury after what happened last week, and he does not appreciate it. Vince demands his apology, but not before he lets The Undertaker and Austin know that they will be defending the tag team titles against The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn). Vince then says he is not leaving until The Undertaker apologizes to him. Right after that, Austin shows up with a custom-made version of the WWF Championship, complete with the current WWF logo, a white snakeskin pattern on the rear side and a smoking skull in the center. Vince and company leave the ring, then Austin grabs the microphone and tells Vince to go up the ramp as he has nothing to say to him. Austin then says The Undertaker hit the nail on the head when he said they were champions but not partners, says he will defend the tag team titles with him, and says he has an apology for him in the form of a middle finger.

Before the next match, D'Lo Brown announces that he has gotten off the phone with the people over at Euro Disney, who say that they have two new rides for him: the Sky High and the Lo Down. He then tells Vader to "get [his] fat ass out here so [he] can choose which one [he wants]."

Vader beats D'Lo Brown by count-out after ripping off D'Lo's chest protector and hitting him with a splash. During the match, it is announced that D'Lo Brown's European title is not on the line due to his legal representation believing that it would not be a prudent move.

We see a skit entitled Droz's World. We see Droz with some snakes, shooting some guns in a swamp and also throwing up in a wastebasket. Next time on Droz's World, Droz tells a story about "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry.

Bart Gunn beats "Dr. Death" Steve Williams by knockout in the closing seconds of the third round to continue to the semi-finals of the Brawl For All Tournament with a devastating left after Williams tears his hamstring.

Owen Hart shows up before Bart Gunn. After the commercial break, we see footage of "Dr. Death" Steve Williams being helped to the back. Last night, he proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is truly the most dangerous man in the World Wrestling Federation and that he is not a nugget. Owen says he is the baddest in the WWF, and if anyone has the guts to want to challenge him, he dares them to come on down and get a piece of him. Owen Hart's music plays again, and out comes Jason Sensation dressed as Owen. Jason says if Owen thinks he can slap him around, then it's time for them to stand nose-to-nose, meaning they will be miles apart. He says Owen is nothing more than a little nugget, and that it's time that people start flushing him down the toilet before starting a "nugget' chant. Owen leaves the ring and heads up the ramp, but Dan "The Beast" Severn shows up in a suit and tie before Owen can get to Jason Sensation.

Dan "The Beast" Severn vs. Owen Hart ends when "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock comes out of the crowd and attacks Owen. Severn pulls Shamrock off of Owen and gets him in a choke hold, and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman shows up to keep both men apart along with referees and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter. As this point, Shamrock snaps and has to be held down in a corner of the ring.

This Sunday on USA at 7 PM Eastern/6 PM Central: Sunday Night Heat!

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock goes off on Michael Cole backstage.

Bradshaw guests on commentary for the next match, saying that nobody crosses him and that Terry Funk should have told him he was leaving sooner before last night's match. If Funk comes back in six months, he'll gladly beat him down in a match.

Faarooq and 2 Cold Scorpio vs. The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) ends with Bradshaw fighting everybody until referees, officials and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter restore order. During the match, Bradshaw grabs Jerry "The King" Lawler by the collar and tells him to call the match.

"The Rock" Rocky Maivia says the entire world saw him lay the smack down on "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley for 30 minutes. If Triple H and X-Pac want to go 2-on-1 with The Rock, then they can scratch that itch, as he will make them famous.

WAR ZONE

"Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley vs. X-Pac vs. "The Rock" Rocky Maivia for the WWF Intercontinental Championship ends with The Rock getting himself counted out to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship while Triple H and X-Pac slug it out.

Michael Cole interviews The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) in the locker room. They are concerned about the tag team titles, but the mission remains the same, as they will take the tag team titles back.

Brakkus beats Jesus Castillo.

We see Val Venis in a locker room shower with Yamaguchi-san's wife.

Before the next match, Val Venis says if you want to spend all day at Disneyland, that's okay, but if you want the ride of your lifehop aboard The Big Valbowski. Yamaguchi-san then shows up with Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki), and is seen carrying a katana while Kaientai carries long salamis and a small wooden table with "Yamaguchi family" written in Japanese on the side of it is on the stage.

Val Venis beats "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher. After the match, Christopher and "Too Hot" Scott Taylor attacks Venis, but Taka Michinoku runs into the ring and teams up with Venis to take them out. Yamaguchi-san then gets Venis' attention, challenging Venis to a match next week against Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki), and if they win, he will give him a big surprise. Funaki places a large cylinder of sausage on the table, and Yamaguchi-san cuts it in half with the sword before telling Venis he will "choppy choppy your pee-pee." (It is revealed years later that this is the first-ever promo written by Shane McMahon.)

Michael Cole interviews L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk). Tonight, they say it will be proven if "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry really is the world's strongest man, while telling "The Godftahter' Kama Mustafa to bring anyone they want.

Before the next match, "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa is surrounded by a bevy of laides. Also, Road Warrior Hawk trips on his way to the ring and forgets his trademark shoulder pads.

The Nation ("The Godfather" Kama Mustafa and "The World's Strongest Man" Marh Henry) beat L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk). During the match, it is noted by Jim Ross on commentary that Hawk is "not quite himself" after receiving devastating news of a very personal nature, and it shows when Hawk falls off the top rope during the Doomsday Device.

It is time for the announcement of last night's bikini contest winner, hosted by Jerry "The King" Lawler. Jacqueline shows up with "Marvelous" Marc Mero first, followed by Sable in another Sable Bomb shirt. It is announced before the trophy presentation that the encore of Fully Loaded: In Your House is tomorrow night on pay-per-view. There is a trophy for the winner, followed by a much smaller consolation for the runner-up. Lawler is suddenly handed a note from the desk of WWF owner Vince McMahon, which states that since body paint does not constitute a bikini, Sable is disqualified and Jacqueline is declared the winner. Mero and Jacqueline celebrate with the winner's trophy and leave the ring, and Sable is given the consolation prize as Lawler says that Sable must be disappointed. Sable says she doesn't need a trophy to prove she won this contest, and that the fans spoke for themselves. She is not surprised at all that this happened, and in fact, expected it, and wishes Vince was man enough to tell her to her face. WWF owner Vince McMahon immediately shows up and questions that statement, and says he's met with a lot of ingrate that he's made Superstars, and never thought Sable would be one of them. Vince then confirms that he was the "knight in shining armor" who hired her back. A fan throws something at Vince, which Vince says is all right because next time, they will hit her. He admits that he hired her back due to her massive popularity with the WWF fans, but says that people like her are a dime a dozen, and he could snap his fingers and have her replaced by "any number of bimbos and airheads." Vince tells Sable she owes him, and when people like her owe him, he generally collects. However, your knight in shining armor will allow her to continue to be gainfully employed by the WWF for a little while longer as long as she does not become "an ungrateful bitch." Vince turns around, and Sable flips him off before removing her shirt to show off a revealing bikini underneath.

When the next match begins, a beach ball falls into the ring. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin takes the ball and kicks it back into the stands.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin and The Undertaker retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn). After the match, Austin gets a few beers, drinks one and tosses one to The Undertaker. The Undertaker opens the drink, stares down, and drinks. Austin is then suddenly attacked by Kane and Manind, and The Undertaker fights off Mankind as the show ends.

After the cameras go off the air, Kane and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin continue to fight in the ring. Austin hits Kane with a Stone Cold Stunner and celebrates as The Undertaker watches from the entrance ramp before leaving.

In Your House 23: Fully Loaded - The Results

Jerry "The King" Lawler interviews Sable on her bikini...and Sable gives him a sneak preview.

Before the next match, Val Venis says he is about to do something he has always wanted to do. He then says "California, here I come!" and is about to take his tights off when Tennessee Lee introduces "Double J" Jeff Jarrett. As Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight, the latter being the former Phineas I. Godwinn) is ejected from ringside, Yamaguchi-san and Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki) show up. Kaientai is ejected from ringside, but Yamaguchi-san makes it to the commentary table and guests on commentary.

Val Venis beats Jeff Jarrett. During the match, Venis knocks Jarrett into referee Tim White, knocking him down. Tennessee Lee takes advantage of the situation by crotching Venis on the top rope, and Jarrett hits a superplex before Venis rolls Jarrett up in a small package for a near-fall. Venis sends Jarrett into Tennessee Lee, who is standing on the apron, and rolls Jarrett up for the pinfall. Also during the match, Yamaguchi-san says that he and Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki) will have a surprise for Venis tomorrow night on Raw. After the match, Venis tells Yamaguchi-san his wife was right and that he will never measure up to The Big Valbowski.

We see Stu Hart's home in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

D'Lo Brown beats X-Pac after "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa hits X-Pac from the apron. X-Pac turns around and knocks him out, but D'Lo Brown hits X-Pac with the Sky High for the victory. Edge is seen in the crowd after the match.

Kevin Kelly and Tom Prichard report that The Undertaker still has not made it to the arena on WWF.com.

Before the next match, Terry Funk says what's on paper isn't always important, and says it is in your heart that is. Funk then announces that this is his last WWF match for the next six months, as he had a rough go with Mick Foley and wants to recharge his batter. The news does not sit well with tag team partner Bradshaw. (The match proves to be Funk's last match in the WWF.)

2 Cold Scorpio and Faarooq beat Brashaw and Terry Funk. After the match, Bradshaw berates Terry Funk, feeling Funk cost him the match, and beats him up. Scorpio gets back in the ring and trys to save Funk, but Bradshaw lays him out. Faarooq confronts Bradshaw, and Bradshaw hits Faarooq with a steel chair as he checks on Scorpio.

"The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry beats Vader.

We see another shot of Stu Hart's home in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We then hear from Kevin Kelly and Tom Prichard, who say that The Undertaker still has yet to be spotted.

Kane, Mankind and Paul Bearer show up. Bearer states that The Undertaker does not want to wrestle his brother Kane because he wants to stay in one piece for SummerSlam. He calls The Undertaker nothing but a coward, and says "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is at the wrong place at the wrong time as Kane and Mankind will finish what they started on Raw last week, and this time, The Undertaker won't be there to help him. Suddenly, The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), and Road Dogg tells them that since they're so confident tonight, they surely won't have any problem accepting a challenge from them for tomorrow night on Raw. They don't get an answer right away, and Gunn decides to speed up the process by starting a fight with Kane and Mankind. Referees and officials quickly rush in for the pull-apart as both teams brawl.

The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) beat L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) after Skull and 8-Ball switch places on an unsuspecting Animal.

WWF owner Vince McMahon shows up with Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter. Vince says the fans are just as upset as he is about The Undertaker not being able to perform in the ring tonight, and asks the fans not to blame him if The Undertaker does not show up, and instead to blame "Stone Cold" Steve Austin for nearly decapitating him with a chair last week. As big screen TV's are brought out to ringside, Vince reiterates what has happened recently between Austin and The Undertaker, and again tells the fans not to blame him, but to blame Austin in case The Undertaker fails to show. Vince reminds the fans that the card of every WWF program is subject to change, and that he reserves the right to order a suitable substitution. Vince then introduces that substitution: The Brooklyn Brawler, who is better known for being an enhancement talent who constantly loses than for being a bonafide star. The Brawler wildly thanks everyone in the ring for giving him the opportunity to tag with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

Owen Hart beats "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock in a Dungeon Match with Dan "The Beast" Severn as special guest referee after Shamrock accidentally kicks Severn in the head, allowing Owen to hit Shamrock in the back of the head with a barbell. When Severn comes to, Owen smacks Shamrock's hand on the floor, and Severn sees this as a tap-out by Shamrock.

Before the next match, members of The Nation (D'Lo Brown, "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) and D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) are ejected from ringside by referees and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter.

"Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and "The Rock" Rocky Maivia wrestle to a 30-minute time limit draw in a two-out-of-three falls match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Before the first fall, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry hits Triple H with a splash, and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn rushes in to attack Mark Henry in retaliation. (Both men are re-ejected by referees after this.) Chyna also distracts the referee, allowing The Rock to hit Triple H with the Intercontinental title, which Triple H is able to kick out of. At another point before the first fall, "The Godfather' Kama Mustafa tries to get involved, but The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) catch up to him and force him to slowly retreat to the back. D'Lo Brown then gets in the ring, but Triple H crotches D'Lo Brown on the top rope and hits him with the European Championship. This distraction allows The Rock - whom the referee is holding back - to hit Triple H with the Rock Bottom and get the first fall. Triple H almost scores the second fall after X-Pac runs through the crowd and into the ring as Chyna distracts the referee. After this, Chyna continues to distract the referee, allowing Triple H to grab a steel chair, but when he swings for The Rock, The Rock sees it coming and manages to get the chair into his hands, but when he swings the chair, he accidentally hits the referee in the back instead of Triple H. Chyna then gets in the ring and hits The Rock with a low blow before nailing The Rock with a DDT on the steel chair, which she then proceeds to remove for the ring, allowing Triple H to get the second fall. Triple H almost gets the third fall, but fails to get it when the referee is replaced at that point by Earl Hebner. Neither man gets a fall in the last two minutes of the match, even though Triple H hits the Pedigree in the final moments of the match, and The Rock retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship. After the amtch, D'Lo, The Godfather and Mark Henry attack Triple H, but X-Pac and The New Age Outlaws run back into the ring to fight them off.

It is announced that The Undertaker has arrived to the arena during the previous match.

We see exclusive footage of "The Rock" Rocky Maivia and D'Lo Brown on their way out to the arena. The Rock brags about hitting Triple H with the Rock Bottom and retaining the WWF Intercontinental Championship. He tells Triple H that if he wants to go for the Intercontinental Championship one more time, he can scratch that itch, because he will make him famous.

Dustin Runnels is seen in the ring, asking everyone to bow their heads in prayer with hi. Dustin Runnels asks the Lord to forgive them for witnessing the bikini contest between Sable and Jacqueline, and turn them away from sin. Dustin also goes on to say that the Messiah is coming very soon and that everyone should be getting ready for him.

Sable, Jacqueline and "Marvelous" Marc Mero show up for the bikini contest, hosted by Jerry "The King" Lawler. Jacqueline is seen wearing a boxer's robe, and is about to take it off when Sable shows up in a slightly torn, oversized "Sable Bomb" T-shirt. Jacqueline removes the robe to reveal a very revealing once piece, and one of her nipples pops out (which Jacqueline quickly and casually covers up). Before shows her bikini, but is seen wearing the same top she took off for Lawler in the dressing room at the beginning of the show. She says that WWF owner Vince McMahon called her into his office concerning the bikini contest, and asked that she wear something a little more conservative. The She then goes to say that while this is Vince's idea of "conservative," it's not hers, and says the fans are not tuned in to see something "conservative." Sable says that after hear what ideas Vince had, she had ideas of her own, and says that this is a WWF pay-per-view and live television and that there isn't a thing Vince can do about "this." "This" ends up being Sable removing her top to show her bare breasts with two black hands painted on top of them. Lawler is amazed, and Mero wants Sable to cover it up. Mero even goes so far as to try to do it himself, but ends up getting slapped by Sable. Sable ends up winning the bikini contest by popular vote, but Vince shows up and takes off his coat. He makes Sable put it on, and they both leave the ring.

We see exclusive footage of Jacqueline confronting Sable in her dressing room. Officials have to make Jacqueline leave.

Before the next match, The Undertaker leaves the ring and stares down with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, but this draws Kane and Mankind out of the ring and starts the match early.

Despite apprehension from both men, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and The Undertaker beat Kane and Mankind to become the WWF Tag Team Champions! After the match, The Undertaker leaves with both belts.

"The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry shows up with a long rope and challenges anyone in the arena as well as anyone in the back to a test of strength against him. That challenge is answered by Vader. A referee places a piece of black tape in the center of the ring, and Vader is ordered to remove his gloves. Both men are then given opposite ends of the rope for a game of tug-of-war. After both men wrap the rope around them and grab on, the game of tug-of-war is on. After a back-and-forth struggle, Mark Henry drags Vader towards the center of the ring to win the test of strength. Afterwards, Mark Henry gets in Vader's face and brags, but Vader beats him up and hits him with the Vader Bomb.

WWF Bodyslam fruit drink is now available in Dropkick Orange, Backbreaker Blue and Piledriver Punch. Collect the bottles and caps of your favorite WWF Superstars, too!

Before the next match, The Jackyl says that he has adopted a new motto: "Give the people want they want." A woman with very large breasts who has accompanied him and his parade of human oddities (Kurrgan, Golga, Giant Silva, Luna Vachon) wearing a shirt that says "Jackyl Me Off" takes said shirt off to reveal another one underneath that reads "Smells Like Ratings."

The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) beat The Oddities (Kurrgan and Golga). After the match, Giant Silva gets in the ring and choke slams The Headbangers after The Oddities go on a post-match attack.

We hear from "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, who tells The Rock that it is "Shut you hole" and not "Know your role." He says that he is coming after him and taking what he thinks is his - the WWF Intercontinental Championship - at Fully Loaded. He says that if The Nation (The Rock, D'Lo Brown, Owen Hart, The Godfather, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) wants to stick their noses in his business, then he will stick his in theirs, and when he does it, he won't do it in the traditional matter. He plans to show who the real mack daddy of the World Wrestling Federation is at Sunday night's two-out-of-three falls match when he smacks The Rock around, and when he is done, he will walk out with the Intercontinental Championship and there will be only two words The Rock will think of: suck it.

The Godfather of The Nation beats Dustin Runnels.

The show starts with a performance by The Nitro Girls.

Scott Hall shows up. He says there is no reason to do a survey, because everybody in Salt Lake City, Utah came to see the nWo. This is met with a chorus of boos. Hall then tells Kevin Nash that "Gilligan got tired of sleeping on the top bunk while the skipper laid on his back while he (referring to himself) did all the work." He says he can't see how Nash can call himself leader of nWo Wolfpac when he's not even a man. Hall goes on to say that he is sick and tired of hearing him whine and cry, and calls him an embarrassment as he is not half half the man Hollywood Hogan is.

It is announced that Diamond Dallas Page and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart are the top two contenders for the now-vacant WCW United States Heavyweight Championship, and that they will face each other for the title later tonight.

Before the match, Stevie Ray is disappointed that nobody took him seriously conerning the WCW World Television Championship, and says he doesn't have the belt tonight as he has left it with Booker T and his attorney. During the match, Chavo Guerrrero, Jr. shows up wearing a mask over his face and the Television title in his hands. After Stevie Ray makes quick work of Johnny Boone, Chavo drops the belt and runs to the back, and Stevie Ray picks it up.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Rick Steiner, who is no longer wearing a cast. Rick says he's been home for two months due to shoulder surgery watching what has been going on and hearing his brother Scott Steiner talk trash. He confronted him about it, but Scott came out on crutches crying. Rick goes on to say that he started wrestling in high school, and got his brother involved later. Now Scott thinks he can do it on his own, and Rick now wants to take him on at Road Wild. If Scott still has a backbone, he'll be at Road Wild, and if not, he'll come crying to him again. He then says there is no Steiner Brothers unless he is involved, and if Scott wants to do something, he can do it with him, as he's ready to take him on right now. Suddenly, WCW trainer Danny Young wheels Buff Bagwell out, and Rick tells him that what happened to him last week was a travesty. He tells Buff he came to win, not to paralyze, and blames himself for what happened to Buff. He says that if he can help him out in any way, he'll be there. Buff says he was mad about it at first, but he eventually forgave him after the change in his outlook on life. Rick helps Buff up as they hug each other, then he has a steel chair smashed into his back by Scott Steiner. Buff Bagwell is still standing as he stops Scott from doing any more damage with the chair, then takes the chair only to smash it into Rick's back himself. Buff removes the neck brace, puts on a hat and takes his shirt off to reveal a black-and-white nWo shirt underneath, revealing that Buff is still on Hollywood Hogan's side and that him returning in a wheelchair was all a set-up.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Chris Jericho, who has requested an interview tonight to let the Jericho-holics know about the mental anguish he has been going through as the hands of Dean Malenko, who has gone so far as to interfere in all his matches and cause him to lose. He also starts projecting, accusing Malenko of talking about his family and dead father and accuses him of conspiring with "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson to get a shot at the WCW Cruiserweight Championship, as Dean cannot be a true champion and role model in his of the fans' eyes. Jericho then says he is a fair champion and the fairest in WCW history, and next week, he will give Malenko one last chance to win the title, and if Malenko loses, he will never get another shot at the Cruiserweight Championship.

Scott Hall shows up at the commentary table, saying he's been learning a lot about movies from hanging around Hollywood Hogan, and says the #1 movie is action. He tells the guys in the production not to "play the sequel with Kevin Nash in Terms of Endearment," because if they do, he's going to puke. Hall then tells Kevin Nash that he knows he's been feeling bad lately and tells him to "try Monistat for that infection."

We see a sign saying "Star of the show!" on an outside arena wall with a wrecked car next to it. It is mentioned after the commercial break that this is a potshot at The Tonight Show host Jay Leno.

Steve "Mongo" McMichael beats Sick Boy.

It's time for nWo Late Night with host Eric Bischoff. Bischoff tells a bunch of topical jokes and is accompanied by an obvious laugh track, and Tony Schiavone realizes that Bischoff has stolen all his jokes from The Tonight Show host Jay Leno's monologue from last Friday. Bischoff then starts making fun of Jay Leno's chin and for "trying to be a biker." All the while, the fans boo.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.

When the tape of Kevin Nash's interview from last week's Thunder is played, it suddenly stops. Scott Hall is then seen coming out of the production truck with the tap eof the footage in his hand. Nash shows up, and Hall tosses the tape at him. Nash and Hal brawl, and it eventually turns into a brawl between nWo Hollywood and nWo Wolfpac outside of the arena. After the show goes back to the commentary table, Bret "The Hit Man" Hart says he wants to kick Diamond Dallas Page's butt right here, right now so he can win the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship, saying he deserves it. The show goes back to the backstage area, where Konnan is calling for help for an attacked DDP, and Bret says he's just fine. As a trainer tends to DDP, Bret heads to the ring, and WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon says he will have to buy some time due to the attack on DDP.

Yuji Nagata beats Saturn with the Nagata Lock after Sonny Onoo distracts the referee from the apron and Raven runs in to hit Saturn with an Evenflow DDT. After the match, Raven's Flock shows up and goes after Saturn, but Kanyon gets in the ring and fights them off one by one. After this, Kanyon helps Saturn up, but Saturn hits him with the Death Valley Driver.

nWo Hollywood (Scott Hall and The Giant) beats nWo Wolfpac (Sting and Kevin Nash) to become the WCW World Tag Team Champions after Bret "The Hit Man" Hart gets in the ring and tries to get involved, distracting Sting and allowing Hall to hit Sting with The Outsider's Edge. During the match, it is announced that Diamond Dallas Page has suffered an injury, but he will be okay to wrestle Bret "The Hit Man" Hart later on tonight.

pyrotechnics signal the start of the third hour.

Ultimo Dragon beats Tokyo Magnum with the Dragon Sleeper.

Scott Norton beats Jim Powers.

We see a video package of Hollywood Hogan.

nWo Hollywood shows up. Eric Bischoff apologizes for Karl Malone not being able to make it tonight due to him licking his wounds. Hollywood Hogan says that when he hit the airport today, he and The Disciple were overwhelmed by all the worshipers that they saw, and says there is nothing but love in the house for Scott Hall after he proved himself to him last week. He says it is no surprise that Scott Hall and The Giant have won the WCW World Tag Team Championships. Hogan also admires the worship and dedication of Buff Bagwell and Scott Steiner, then announces that Goldberg will be the next man to gun down. He then thanks The Great Muta and Masahiro Chono for flying out to America and setting up "the East-West connection," and announces nWo Hollywood only wields universal power. Hogan then says that Eric Bischoff has proved he is the funniest man in the world and that late night host Jay Leno can take a back seat, then says Bret "The Hit Man" Hart will be the next United States Champion before daring Diamond Dallas Page to prove he is a man and give him a fight.

Before the next match, Konnan shows up with Antoine Carr of the Utah Jazz.

Eddie Guerrero vs. Konnan is thrown out. During the match, Chavo Guerrero, Jr. shows up again, riding Pepe while dressed up as Konnan. This distracted Konnan as well as Eddie, who takes Pepe away to use as a weapon. Konnan decks Chavo, then uses Pepe against Eddie.

Curt Hennig beats Lex Luger. During the match, Hennig whips Luger into referee Charles Robinson, knocking Robinson out. Rick Rude gets in the ring to interfere, but Luger puts him in the Torture Rack. The distraction allows Hennig to put Luger in the Hennigplex, and Robinson comes to and makes the three count, not knowing that Rick Rude is holding on to one of Luger's legs to keep him from powering out.

Despite being attacked earlier in the show, Diamond Dallas Page shows up to face Bret "The Hit Man" Hart for the vacant WCW United States Heavyweight Championship, having to drag himself to the ring in order to participate.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart beats an injured Diamond Dallas Page with the Sharpshooter to become the WCW United States Heavyweight Champion. Diamond Dallas Page has to be taken out on a stretcher as nWo Hollywood celebrate in the ring with Bret. Scott Hall hits DDP with a cheap shot to the back as DDP is wheeled out.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for July 20, 1998

RAW

WWF owner Vince McMahon arrives to start the show. He announces that tonight is a night for reflection, showing proper respect for your fellow man, and retribution if you don't. He reflects on recent events involving The Undertaker and how he became #1 contender, and asks where Kane was last night, how The Undertaker disguised himself as Kane and whether or not The Undertaker and Kane are in cahoots. We then see Vince's failed attempt at getting answers from The Undertaker, then Vince talks about the tag team title rematch from the end of last week's show and what happened between The Undertaker and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin during that match. He then asks one last time if The Undertaker is in cahoots with Kane, and brings The Undertaker out. Vince tells The Undertaker that he is disappointed in him, and tells him that he hurt his feelings when he told him to go to Hell last week. Vince says that if The Undertaker wants to be the champion that he wants to be, he has to start showing respect for the proper people, and that he can't do it with the fans alone and that he needs Vince. Vince then tells The Undertaker his actions from last week were disrespectful, disparaging and insolent, and he will not take it anymore. He tells The Undertaker if he learns respect, he will not be a flash in the pan like Austin is destined to be, and asks him to listen to reason and asks him if he is cahoots with Kane. The Undertaker does not even respond. Vince then brings up retribution, saying it is revenge, and tells The Undertaker that if he ahs to be a champion for the ages, he has to learn the hard lessons and that it will hurt him as much as it will hurt The Undertaker. Vince then puts The Undertaker in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match against Kane and Mankind before allowing him to take his leave. Before he does, Vince tells The Undertaker he can go to Hell, and The Undertaker responds with a choke slam. Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco get in the ring, but they do not fare any better, as does WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter when he gets in the ring. Vince unintentionally lands on top of Pat Patterson as he is helped out of the ring.

D'Lo Brown beats "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley to win the WWF European Championship. During the match, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry shows up after Chyna sends "The Rock" Rocky Maivia into the guardrail in response for tripping Triple H in the corner. As referee Jimmy Korderas is busy with Henry and Chyna - who now has a steel chair in her hands - from the entrance ramp, The Rock hits Triple H with a Rock Bottom. D'Lo Brown celebrates with the rest of The Nation (The Rock, Owen Hart, "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa, Mark Henry) backstage.

Backstage, an irate "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley tells "The Rock" Rocky Maivia he will not be leaving the arena with the WWF Intercontinental Championship. X-Pac tells The Rock that he won't like what he's cooking, and that he won't even see it coming.

"Dr. Death" Steve Williams - a 15-year veteran whose popularity emanates from Japan and from being one of the toughest men in the business - beats Quebecer Pierre by referee stoppage in the last seconds of the third round to continue to the next round of the Brawl For All Tournament. Before the match, we hear from former Dallas Cowboys coach Barry Switzer, who says that Williams is so tough that you would have to kill him to beat him.

An angry Yamaguchi-san chews out his wife in front of Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki), and tells her that she will be punished for her adultery. Yamaguchi-san commands her to open the ring for them before commanding her to enter. He then commands her to get on her knees, then pulls out a black wooden paddle with the word "oshioki" (Japanese for "punishment") written on one side and the Japanese characters for "Yamaguchi-san" on the other. Before she can crawl between her husbands knees, Val Venis shows up, beats up Yamaguchi-san and Kaientai with the wooden paddle, then takes Yamaguchi-san's wife backstage.

Skull vs. Road Warrior Animal end before it can begin after Skull, 8-Ball and Paul Ellering beat up Animal. Road Warrior Hawk comes to the rescue before Ellering can run Animal over with a motorcyle, but he also gets laid out. WWF referees, officials and Commissioner Sht. Slaughter have to restore order.

"The Lethal Blackman" Steve Blackman beats "Double J" Jeff Jarrett, avenging his first loss from three months ago. After the match, Owen Hart attacks "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and sends him into the steel stairs. Blackman checks on Shamrock while Dan "The Beast" Severn walks away.

Michael Cole tries to interview The Undertaker as he leaves the arena.

After the commercial break, Michael Cole states that The Undertaker has left the building and that all The Undertaker has told him is "See you Sunday at Fully Loaded."

WAR ZONE

Jim Ross interviews "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Austin tells JR he has some bad breath, and as far as The Undertaker goes, he would like to know if it will be a tag team match or a 3-on-1 handicap match this Sunday. Either way, he's going in Sunday to beat somebody's ass whether he has help or not. On the subject of The Undertaker leaving, he doesn't know if he left because he didn't want to fight Kane, or if he wanted to screw WWF owner Vince McMahon before Vince could screw him, and if anyone deserves to be screwed, it's Vince McMahon. Vince shows up with Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter, immediately questioning Austin's choice of words. Austin asks the crowd to give him a "hell yeah" if they believe Vince deserves to be screwed. Vince says if anybody is doing any screwing tonight, it will be him, and forces Austin to take The Undertaker's place in the 2-on-1 handicap match against Kane and Mankind. Austin says it's not that simple, as Vince won't simply tell him what to do as he won't do it due to having nothing to prove against Kane and Mankind, and says he can go down the same highway The Undertaker went down. Vince threatens to strip Austin of the WWF Championship and hand it to The Undertaker, as much as he hates him. Austin says he'll beat Kane and Mankind's asses, and when he's done, he will beat the living shit out of Vince when he gets backstage.

Owen Hart beats Faarooq with the Sharpshooter. During the match, Owen takes a microphone and tells the crowd to shut up after the crowd repeatedly calls him a nugget. After the match, "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock runs in and chases Owen through the crowd.

Paul Bearer says we would have found out whose side The Undertaker was on if he did not tuck tail and run. Mankind says he is glad that he and Kane are facing "Stone Cold" Steve Austin tonight, as kicking his teeth in gives hima sense of inner peace and he is sensing a very, very peaceful evening.

"Marvelous" Marc Mero and Jacqueline show up. Jacqueline calls out Sable again, saying she took a good look at her and says Sable doesn't any of her in a bikini contest. She asks Sable how many pounds she can lose in six days, then suggest liposuction before telling her not to take a chance and have air taken out in the wrong places. Jacqueline then offers to save Sable the embarassment if she shows up and raises her hand and allows her to accept the victory. Sable shows up in a plaid maternity dress, tells Jacqueline she's nothing but a tramp, and walks down the ramp and into the ring. Jacqueline calls her a big fat cow, and tells Mero that her dress could sleep a family of four. Sable says her body "keeps 'em up all night long." Jacqueline tells her "Then show me, ho!" and rips the dresss off only to reveal Sable's body underneath, much to the delight of the crowd and the horror of Jacqueline and Mero as not only do they realize she has an attractive body, but Sable pushes Jacqueline head-first into the mat. As Sable leaves, Edge comes out of the crowd and hits Mero with the Downward Spiral before leaving through the crowd.

"The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels shows up and guests on commentary for the rest of the show.

The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) are backstage. He says the only difference between them and D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) is that The Rock does not make empty promises or idle threats. He promises to walk in as Intercontinal champ and leave as Intercontinental champ, and there is nothing that DX can do about it.

The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) and D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) brawl in the ring before the next match as referees try to pull everyone apart.

"The Rock" Rocky Maivia retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship against X-Pac. Chyna shows up before the start of the match to stand in X-Pac's corner during the match (and at one point, hit The Rock with the Intercontinental title). During the match, The Rock accidentally knocks out referee Tim White. D"Lo Brown runs in through the crowd to interfere, but "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley is close behind. He sends D'Lo Brown off the top rope and hits The Rock with the Pedigree before leaving. X-Referee Jimmy Korderas runs into the ring and stops Tim White from making the count, and tells him what happened. Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for July 13, 1998

The show starts with a performance by The Nitro Girls.

"nWo Hollywood shows up. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan says the propaganda is about to stop, as he proved that black and white are the real colors and true powers of professional wrestling last night. He tells Goldberg his day are numbered and that he is on his trail, and he will prove to the world that he is a flash in the pan. Hogan says he has the family intact, and to stay on track, nWo Hollywood will be bonded for eternity. That, however, comes with bumps in the road. He is all eyes and all ears, and if it wasn't for Scott Hall, he would still be the WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Hogan says he has heard that Scott Hall has said that Hollywood may not be the man and that it's time for him to run the show, and challenges him to a match tonight to see what he is made of. Hall takes the microphone, and confronts his loyalty for the black-and-white, saying he has done everything Hogan has told him to as he needs the money. He then says Goldberg beat him, then took Hogan's title. Hall says that if Hogan wants a piece of him, don't sing it, bring it. Hogan tells him he's got it, and that tonight, they draw the line. Hogan then thinks Bischoff is laughing, and Bischoff says he's not laughing. Hogan says the match with Goldberg should have never taken place, and wants to know where Bischoff is coming from. He makes Bischoff the referee for the match between himself and Scott Hall, though Bischoff says he doesn't know how to referee a match and doesn't want to be in the middle of this. Hall makes it clear he wants Hogan, and Hogan tells Hall he has a decision to make tonight. As for other problems that haven't been taken care of, there is a reason The Disciple is with him. The Disciple takes the microphone and calls out Diamond Dallas Page for hitting him in the back of the head with a steel chair, and not getting the job done as he is still here with 47 stitches in his head. He calls DDP out, saying that if he has guts in his body, he will meet him in the ring one-on-one so they can settle it once and for all, as the Apocalypse from Bash at the Beach was nothing compared to what he will do to him tonight.

The Barbarian beats Horace after kicking a stop sign into Horace's face. Before the match, it is announced that the encore for Bash at the Beach is tomorrow night on pay-per-view. After the match, Raven's Flock goes after The Barbarian, and the numbers game catches up. Suddenly, Meng shows up for the first time since February and helps out his former tag team partner, clearing the Flock out of the ring. After this, Meng puts The Barbarian in the Tongan Death Grip.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Curt Hennig and Rick Rude. Rude says he was forced to be at home during Bash at the Beach, and he and his family were forced to watch in vain as Hennig lost to Goldberg on a bad knee as someone canceled his flight (which he blames on Goldberg). Hennig says that last night at Bash at the Beach, he learned Goldberg's weakness, and challenges Goldberg to another match. He asks Rude to stay in the back during the match so that "Goldberg won't have something to cry about" when he wins. Rude asks Hennig if he is sure about going on his own, but Hennig is sure. As for that weakness, we won't find out what it is until the match is over, and Hennig tells us we are looking at the next WCW World Heavyweight Champion.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon, who brings out Rey Mysterio, Jr. Suddenly, Chris Jericho shows up with a book in his hands, which happens to be the WCW rulebook. He quotes page 257, saying "For the safety of the athletes involved, if the event of a wrestler being suspended, he must not be present at the event from which he is suspended, and if he is present and involved in the outcome of said match, the decision of the aforementioned match is null and void." As per the rule, the match never took place, and Jericho is Cruiserweight Champion once again thanks to the interference from Dean Malenko last night. Rey is forced to give up the Cruiserweight Championship. Suddenly, Dean Malenko show up, and tells Jericho he will not get away with this. Jericho says he is a fair man, and tells the two of them to face each other in a match to decide who will face him for the Cruiserweight title. Both men accept the challenge.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Buff Bagwell, who is wheeled out by Dr. Michael Sapella, who has been on top of Bagwell's health situation and is able to confirm that Bagwell is doing well. Bagwell says it's hard to watch Nitro with his injury, and that everything is so confusing that rehabilitation is more important. He wants Rick Steiner, the man who injured him, as he has something to say to him. Rick Steiner, who hasn't been seen in some time, shows up with a cast around his right arm. Before anything can happen, however, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and The Disciple show up. Hogan says the only thing he hates more than a couple of cowards is a couple of cripples, and tells him that when he joined the black-and-white nWo, he joined for life, and tells him to start acting like a man. He says all the "babyface crap" has turned him from Buff Bagwell to "Creampuff Bagwell" and that looking at him makes him sick. Hogan then pushes Bagwell down along with the wheelchair, and leaves with The Disciple.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart beats Fit Finley with the Sharpshooter.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Stevie Ray shows up with the WCW World Television Championship before the next match.

Stevie Ray beats Rick Martel, who has returned from a knee injury suffered at SuperBrawl VIII, after Bret "The Hit Man" Hart hits Martel in the back of the neck with a steel chair as he has Stevie Ray in the Quebec Crab. (During the match, Martel injures his neck while trying to protect his knee, and the match proves to be his final one before retirement. In an interview on WWE.com years later, Rick Martel said that when he injured his neck, he knew his career was over.) After the match, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Stevie Ray, who says that Booker T is in the hospital recovering from an injury that he received last night, and that he has the WCW World Television Championship because his brother gave him power of attorney to defend the title against any and all comers like Rick Martel, and says he has the documents to prove it and that he'll have them next week as he was in a hurry to get on the plane to the arena tonight.

Konnan beats Barry Darsow with the Tequila Sunrise.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page. DDP calls The Disciple "'Hollywood' Hulk Hogan's shadow," and makes fun of him for complaining about having his head busted open, and says he's been put through much more and he's not crying. He tells The Disciple that if he wants some, to come get some, as he will feel the bang. The Disciple shows up immediately.

Diamond Dallas Page beats The Disciple by rolling him up after pushing him into Rick Rude, who is on the apron after getting a cheap shot in on DDP. On his way out, DDP is attacked by "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan with a steel chair, and The Disciple, Rude and Vincent hold DDP up while Hogan hits him with the chair again.

Raven beats Saturn and Kanyon in a three-way dance by count-out. Saturn and Kanyon continue to fight to the commentary table before the commercial break. Before the match, it is announced that WCW has been handed a directive by "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan's lawyers not to call him "Hulk Hogan" anymore and that his name is now simply "Hollywood Hogan."

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the third hour.

Rey Mysterio, Jr. beats Dean Malenko to become #1 contender for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship after Chris Jericho shows up and blasts Malenko in the back with the Cruiserweight title following a top rope gutbuster to Rey.

Before the next match, Alex Wright speaks to the fans in German, then Disco Inferno says that he had his match last night won until Lex Luger attacked Alex Wright and Kevin Nash hit him with a Jackknife Power Bomb. He says he and Wright don't play that way, and call out Lex Luger and Kevin Nash so they can pay them back.

Lex Luger and Kevin Nash beat Disco Inferno and Alex Wright.

Eddie Guerrero vs. Steve "Mongo" McMichael ends in a no-contest after a now-completely bald Chavo Guerrero, Jr. shows up wearing a cowboy hat and riding Pepe and dances around Mongo, saying he wants to be one of the Four Horsemen. Eddie dop kicks Chavo into Mongo, who hits Chavo with the Mongo Spike.

Hollywood Hogan vs. Scott Hall ends in a no-contest after Diamond Dallas Pge runs in, attacks The Disciple and hits special guest referee Eric Bischoff with a Diamond Cutter. Hogan and Disciple beat up DDP, then Nash runs in and takes out Hogan and The Disciple before giving the "too sweet" to Hall. Nash grabs Hogan, but Hall repays Nash for his help by turning back on him as he has Hogan ready for the Jackknife Power Bomb. Hogan straddles DDP on the rope while The Disciple punches DDP in the face. Hogan hits DDP with a leg drop and Vincent enters the ring while Hall slaps Nash around.

After the commercial break, we see footage of Hollywood Hogan and Scott Hall embracing after their match.

Charles Wey and Tyrone Wheaton of the New York Giants are seen in the front row.

Before the match, Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler make a slight dig at Bash at the Beach, saying "The Mailman [Karl Malone] didn't deliver." At this point, the unofficial results just shows the score and do not show the points breakdown. Also, WWF referees are used for matches from this point forward. After the match, Bob Holly swipes at Bart Gunn, and both men have to be pulled apart.

The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) are backstage, unhappy about D-Generation X's ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) parody of them from last week.

Jason Sensation, the Owen Hart impersonator from last week's parody of The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry, guests on commentary and imitates Owen Hart, Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, The Undertaker, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Backstage, The Rock says he's flattered, but says nobody can ever be The People's Champ. The Godfather tells "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn that if he wants to be a pimp, he'll show him that "pimpin' ain't easy." (Author's note: that sounds familiar.) Mark Henry tells X-Pac he should be worried about his hands around his neck. D'Lo Brown tells "Road Dog" Jesse James he's not the one to mess with, and Owen Hart says that if Jason Sensation thinks he's funny, he'll slap the piss out of him. Jason Sensation continues to imitate Owen Hart to the point that he runs into the arena and slaps Jason Sensation before tossing him into the ring and putting him in the Sharpshooter. The rest of The Nation has to calm owen down, and D-Generation X's ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) to fight off The Nation.

We see footage from during the break where D-Generation X's ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) helps Jason Sensation to the back.

Sable guests on commentary for the next match. She says that the bathing suit she will be wearing at Fully Loaded will make the suit she wore at the Slammy Awards look like an evening gown. Sable also she is not at liberty to discuss her professional relationship with WWF owner Vince McMahon which allowed her to return to the World Wrestling Federation.

"The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman beats "Marvelous" Marc Mero. At one point in the match, Jacqueline confronts Sable at commentary, allowing Mero to hit Blackman with a low blow as referee Jimmy Korderas is trying to keep them apart. Jacqueline tries to hit a splash on Blackman, but Sable crotches her on the top rope and Blackman is able to recover.

WAR ZONE

The Undertaker shows up before the next match and watches from ringside.

Kane and Mankind beat The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) to become the WWF Tag Team Champions. "The Rock" Rocky Maivia and Owen Hart show up during the match and watch from the entrance ramp, but "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and X-Pac show up and attack them from behind. The ensuing brouhaha distracts referee Tim White, allowing D'Lo Brown to show up from out of the crowd and hit Road Dog with a frog splash from the top as "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry also shows up, allowing Kane to hit Road Dog with a Tombstone Piledriver for the win as referees and officials try to break up the ringside brawls.

"Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley asks WWF owner Vince McMahon for a tag team title re-match and even makes the case for Vince being special guest referee. Vince tells Triple H that he knows The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) were screwed out of the tag team titles, and that he will give it some thought.

Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki) beat Taka Michinoku and Too Much ("Too Sexy" Brian Christopher and "Too Hot" Scott Taylor) after some miscommunication between Taka and Taylor. After the match, Christopher attacks Taka and tosses him out of the ring. Val Venis then shows up and tells Yamaguchi-san last week, while Kaientai came out and attacked him from behind and he slapped him across the face, he realized two things: he was wrong and that no man should ever mess with another man's wife. With that in mind, he offers him his most deepest, sincere apologies, and to show exactly how sincere he is, he offers him a special viewing of his latest video entitled "Land of the Rising Venis." The sexual acts are mosaic blurred, and then it is revealed that he slept with Yamaguchi-san's wife. Venis tells him that when they get a taste of "The Big Valbowski," they never, ever come back. Yamaguchi-san is distraught.

WWF owner Vince McMahon shows up. He introduces "the most demonic, twisted soul in the history of the WWF," The Undertaker. Vince asks what The Undertaker won't do to become WWF Champion, mentioning what he did to Mankind at King of the Ring and choke slamming nearly every WWF Superstar into oblivion before disguising himself as Kane and fooling everyone, including himself. Vince says that The Undertaker had to have had some help from his brother Kane, and refuses to answer everyone who has asked about. Vince says that he won't refuse to answer him, however, and asks The Undertaker if he is in cahoots with his brother Kane. The Undertaker tells Vince that if he wants an answer, he can go to Hell. Vince asks The Undertaker who he thinks he is, then "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up. Austin tells Vince that The Undertaker told him to go to Hell, and to spin around so he can kick him in the ass and give him a head-start. As far as The Undertaker goes, at least he had the decency to challenge him face-to-face like a man, and that he can respect that, but the problem is that they are tag team partners at Fully Loaded against Kane and Mankind. He wants to know if it's the two of them against two opponents, or if it will be him against three opponents, and he wants to know where The Undertaker is coming from. The Undertaker tells Austin to go to Hell with him. Suddenly, D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) shows up. Triple H says everyone is looking for answers, then calls Austin and The Undertaker "the two toughest S.O.B.s in the business today," before saying that Road Dog and Billy Gunn will get their rematch and that Vince will find out if The Undertaker and Kane are in cahoots. Triple H then demands three referees for the tag team title rematch: one on the inside, and two special guest enforcers on the outside: Austin and The Undertaker. Vince gives them the tag team rematch without hesitation, then DX tells Vince to suck it.

Kane hits Austin with a cheap shot as Austin confronts The Undertaker, then Kane and Mankind brawl with Austin and The Undertaker. The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) runs in, as does the rest of D-Generation X, ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), and The Nation and DX brawl in the ring along with the other four men as the show ends.

After the match, Chavo cuts his own hair, and offers Eddie to do the same so they can be twins. Before the next match, Chris Jericho says Dean Malenko got himself suspended and robbed the fans of tonight's match, but he refuses to rob the fans himself. He is about to tap dance with a top hat and cane when WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon shows up and says he probably made a mistake and misjudged him, and if he was wrong about him, he'd be the first person to say so and offer an apology. He feels the fans are a bit disappointed to not see him wrestle and defend the Cruiserweight title. He managed to find a local guy in the area who was willing to wrestle Jericho and hasn't wrestled in six months, and that it's up to Jericho. Jericho tells Dillon to get the match started and make it a no-disqualification match...and the "local guy" is Rey Mysterio Jr., who hasn't been seen since Jericho injured his left knee as he returns with a more refined and more bronze physique.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for July 6, 1998

The show begins with a performance by The Nitro Girls.

"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan, The Disciple, Eric Bischoff and Miss Elizabeth show up. Hogan has he has some real good news and some real bad news. The good news is that this is the final week before Bash at the Beach, and that the battle plan for Diamond Dallas Page and Karl Malone is intact, and that it will be Diamond Dallas Page's last match and that Malone will never play basketball again. The bad news is that him vs. Goldberg for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship is not happening, as Goldberg has only beaten a bunch of jabronis and that he is not even in his league, and that WCW disrespected him and Bischoff by not putting enough money on the line. However, just to show that he is a fair man, he's letting the "one or two Goldberg fans on speakerphone" yell their lungs out for Goldberg. Hogan then says he has a "brother" who we haven't seen in a long time, who has called and has asked Hogan to let him get Goldberg out of the way so that Goldberg will suffer his first loss. If lightning strikes in the center of the ring or Goldberg is "lucky enough" to get past him, Hogan will kill Goldberg, Hollywood style. The crowd then chants for Goldberg, yet Hogan says the "Hollywood" Hogan fans will eat up "the one or two Goldberg fans," and that he will feel sorry for him when his "brother" gives him his first loss.

A fans sounds off outside of the arena, saying it's not Madison Square Garden in 1985 anymore, and that "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan will be win #107 for Goldberg.

The "Hollywood Rules" T-Shirt is available now!

Another car is now being given away. Call 1-800-TEAM-VAL or see your nearest Valvoline dealer between now and August 29th for details.

Booker T retains the WCW World Television Championship against Dean Malenko. During the match, Chris Jericho shows up and tells Dean Malenko to face him once and for all. As a distracted Malenko gets in the ring, Booker T hits him with an Ax Kick.

Goldberg is seen doing push-ups on steel chairs in the locker room.

Karl Malone tells Dennis Rodman he is so disappointed, as he and Diamond Dallas Page showed up last week from Utah and he didn't show. At Bash at the Beach, Rodman will have to show.

Raven beats Kanyon by disqualification after Saturn gets in the ring and fights off Raven and Lodi before accidentally hitting Kanyon with the Death Valley Driver. Saturn then pulls a table out from underneath the ring, then places Raven on it and tries to splash through it. The table doesn't budge, and Saturn gets back in the ring only for Kanyon to hit him with the Flatliner.

A limousine is seen pulling up to the arena, and a wheelchair is taken out of the truck. Buff Bagwell is helped out of the limo by his mother Judy, and placed in the wheelchair, and it is noticed that Bagwell is wearing a neck brace.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page and Karl Malone. DDP says that as far as he is concerned, this will be the worst week of "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan's life, as Hogan has now painted himself into a corner, as no matter who he puts against Goldberg in his hometown, Goldberg is going through them and Hogan will be next. It will make Hogan "one bruised up boy," and at Bash at the Beach, he's going to be "one banged up boy," as will Dennis Rodman as Karl Malone has a special delivery for him, as he will whip him like Madonna should have whipped him and knock the paint right out of his hair, and that he'll be "a Rodzilla killa." DDP tells Hogan and Rodman to get ready to feel the bang. DDP and Malone then leave through the crowd.

We see a video package interspersed with footage of an interview with Steve "Mongo" McMichael and an interview with former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka. Steve "Mongo" McMichael says he hopes everyone realizes why he was a part of The Four Horsemen, as the Horsemen have left a legacy of living in excess and taking championships. He wants to be a part of that, as he has been on top in football. Ditka, says that Mongo had "the warrior heart" and a great will to win when he was part of the Chicago Bears. Mongo says that the Chicago Bears he was part of was a team and a committment to excellence. Ditka says if he could coach 40 Steve McMichaels, he could take on the whole NFL. Mongo says "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson unlocked the barn door and let the horses out onto the field. He says to put the chip back on the shoulder and dare someone to knock it off.

Dillon is watching from ringside, and he gets in the ring to tell him that his stunt from last week's Thunder with a mini Rey Mysterio, Jr. isn't going to fly with him, and that he will still meet Ultimo Dragon tonight. Suddenly, Dean Malenko runs in, and Dillon tells them they have been both put on writte notice not to have any physical contact between them prior to Bash at the Beach, and it either man touches the other, it's an instant disqualification. Jericho takes the opportunity to get Malenko's goat, and Dillon tells Malenko that Jericho is trying to bait him in. Dillon tells Jericho it won't work, and if he keeps it up, he'll be asking for it in a no-disqualification match. Jericho says Dillon says is right, then says he and Malenko are two of a kind as their fathers were pro athletes who were constantly on the road. He tells Malenko to think about his parents, and why he and his brother look nothing alike. Malenko snaps and punches Jericho in the face, and WCW security have to pull him off Jericho.

Ultimo Dragon vs. Chris Jericho ends when Dean Malenko gets in the ring and beats Jericho up again. Ultimo Dragon wisely leaves the ring as Malenko rips Jericho's hair out.

After the match, Chavo says he's noticed Johnny Swinger has some split ends and he's got scissors, and decides to cut some of Swinger's hair. He says this was for Eddie Guerrero. He knows he is watching, and has an idea: their match will be a hair vs. hair match. If Eddie wins, he gets to finish the job. If he wins, he gets to cut Eddie's hair.

He says everyone in the nation kept in such touch with him, and says he loves each and every fan out there. He says that Scott Steiner wanted to bring him out as his co-star next week, and says that he has had such a second look at life to the point that he is amazed he can put a fork in his mouth and that he and Scott Steiner have to go their separate ways. Raw Deal - Raw recap for July 6, 1998

RAW

The Undertaker shows up to start tonight's show. He calls out "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, demanding a shot at the WWF Championship right now. Michael Cole is seen on the TitanTron, looking for Austin backstage to see if he will answer the challenge. Michael Cole finds him, but Austin is in no mood to talk as he makes his way to the ring. Austin gets in the ring, but WWF owner Vince McMahon angrily interrupts, and says the inmates are attempting to run the asylum. Vince says nobody named him the #1 contender, and asks Austin who the hell he thinks he is, defending the WWF Championship whenever he wants against whomever he wants. Vince tells Austin he defends the title when he says so, and against an opponent of his choosing. However, since both men are so hell-bent to get it on, he is inclined to allow that to happen at Fully Loaded, and he doesn't care if they tear each other apart. However, he takes it one step further, and says they will be a tag team instead of opponents when they face Kane and Mankind at the event. Also, since The Undertaker is so hell-bent on being #1 contender for the WWF Championship, Vince will name a #1 contender for the title, and everyone will hang on his every word. Vince then salutes Austin with the middle finger, lest anyone misunderstand how he feels about Austin being WWF Champion. This enrages Austin, who heads right up the ramp to go after Vince.

Savio Vega beats Brakkus by points to continue to the next round of the Brawl For All Tournament.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock beats "Double J" Jeff Jarrett by disqualification after Mabel, who has not been seen in the WWF since 1995, jumps the guardrail, gets in the ring and attacks Shamrock. Edge is seen in the crowd during the match. After the match, it is feared that Ken Shamrock has suffered rib injuries at the hands of Mabel, but even then, Shamrock is able to get up under his own power.

Michael Cole interviews "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock, who tells Cole he doesn't need his sympathy and challenges Mabel to a match tonight if he is any kind of a man.

Cader vs. Bradshaw comes to an end after Kane and Mankind attack both men. Before the match, it is announced that The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) will be defending the WWF Tag Team Championships against Kane and Mankind next week on Raw.

Paul Ellering is seen riding a motorcycle along with Skull and 8-Ball as they make their way to the ring before the next match, then guests on commentary to say that is time to write the final chapter of L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk), as they are prisoners of their own memories.

The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) beat The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh).

D'Lo Brown, now wearing the chest protector to protect his torn pectoral muscles during the match - yet is also perceived to be giving D'Lo an edge during matches by being used as a weapon - beats Terry Funk after "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa punches Terry Funk in the back with a fist with his gold necklace wrapped around it in response for being knocked off the apron by Funk. After the match, The Undertaker shows up and fights off both D'Lo Brown and Kama Mustafa before choke slamming both men. Terry Funk grabs onto The Undertaker to pull himself up, but The Undertaker choke slams him, too.

WAR ZONE

WWF owner Vince McMahon shows up. Before he names a #1 contender for the WWF Championship, he asks for a few individuals to come to the ring: Mankind, Kane, and The Undertaker. All three of them head to the ring. Vince says that Mankind risked life and limb at King of the Ring, and that he feels his pain and his hurt before publicly thanking him for all he's done for the World Wrestling Federation. He then addresses Kane, saying he is one of the stupidest men he has ever seen in his life for his actions last week, which causes Kane to nearly attack him, but Vince tells him that a lot of people are forgiven for a lot of things around here, and admires the fact that Kane risked setting himself on fire if he lost at King of the Ring. Vince then addresses The Undertaker, whom he calls "an evil, diabolical excuse for a human being" for almost taking Mankind's life and setting Kane on fire in an Inferno Match at Unforgiven, but questions if The Undertaker knows he is better than "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and wants to be champion again more than than life itself. He then announces that the three of them will compete in a Triple Threat Match to see who the next #1 contender for the WWF Championship is.

Road Warrior Hawk and Darren Drozdov fight to a draw in the Brawl For All Tournament, with neither man advancing. During the match, Road Warrior Hawk loses his mouthpiece in the first round and Brawl For All referee Danny Hodge has to put it back in. It happens again in the third round, but Droz spits his mouthguard out and they go the rest of the round without their mouthguards.

"Marvelous" Marc Mero and Jacqueline show up, and Jacqueline speaks for the first time in the WWF. Jacqueline says she's been quiet long enough, and says she takes full responsibility for Mero losing last week. She knows Mero is the greatest boxer in the world, and blames their two-month anniversary where "they went 12 rounds" until "his tank was empty." Jacqueline goes on to say that Mero was deprived for a very long time before she met him, and says "Sable wasn't able" to fulfill his needs. Jacqueline says that Sable looks good, but that there's no motor under the hood, and couldn't shift into gear when Mero was ready to steer. Sable shows up, and tells Jacqueline she's got the story all wrong, and that she's always got the pedal to the metal but "Mark's tire was flat," and that Viagra wasn't around to keep his tank full. Jacqueline tells Sable the difference between them is that she's "100% woman" and knows what a man wants because she's got the goods, and that her body is prime real estate. Sable retorts by saying that the real question is "How many times have you rented it out?" Jacqueline calls Sable a skank, and tells her to prove it by challenging her to a bikini contest. Sable tells Jacqueline "Don't just blow it, show it" and that her bikini will be fully loaded and ready to drop the bomb on her.

Before the next match, Val Venis tells the crowd they are looking at the only man who has scored more times in Beaver Stadium than Joe Paterno.

Val Venis beats Dustin Runnels by disqualification after he is attacked from behind by Kaientai (DIck Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki). During the match, Edge is seen in the crowd again. After the match, Yamaguchi-san shows up with is wife, then Kaientai pick Val Venis up after attacking him and Yamaguchi-san tells Venis he is only have the man he is before slapping and mocking him.

The Nation of Domination shows up, but it is really D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) with impersonator Jason Sensation. Triple H is "The Crock" (a parody of "The Rock" Rocky Maivia, with "IC" in black tape stuck to the European Championship), Jason Sensation is Owen Hart, X-Pac is "Mizark Henry" (a parody of "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry complete with blackface and a fat suit), "Road Dog" Jesse James is "B-Lo" (a parody of D'Lo Brown with an umpire's vest with white tape in the center with the words "B-Lo" written on it in black), and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn is The Gunnfather (a parody of "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa). Chyna shows up as Chyna. Triple H makes a bathroom joke, then Road Dogg makes fun of D-Lo's top rope mannerisms before laying down face up in the center of the ring so that Triple H can make fun of The People's Elbow. Triple H then stops before elbow (with Road Dogg getting up) and says it when it comes to "The Crock" and the ladies, when he hits rock bottom, he has no choice but "to lay the smack down on himself." Road Dogg repeats the masturbation reference, then gets on the top rope and makes fun of D'Lo again. Jason Sensation says enough is enough and it's time for a chance, but nobody listens to him or cares what he thinks. He then asks what he is doing wearing his ridiculous outfit, as he looks like "a damn road sign" before asking if he is a school crossing. He then goes on to say he tried being a tough guy, but he just couldn't grow his damn beard in. He also says he is not a nugget, and that he is a black Hart, a winner and a soul survivor. He then says that if anyone smells what The Rock is cooking, it's him, and tells the crowd "Look how big my damn nose is!" he then asks if he is an aardvark. Road Dogg repeats the last question, then X-Pac gets on the microphone and says what The Rock is cooking "smells like shit" but he'll eat some anyway. Triple H says "Mizark" is "The World's Strongest Man," but asks how his pecs go all the way to his back. Road Dogg tries to repeat the last statement, but is told to shut up. He mocks D'Lo again anyway. DX then tells The Nation to suck it.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock beats Mabel after catching Mabel on the way down from the top rope, putting him in a Fujiwara arm bar and then floating over to the ankle lock. Shamrock snaps and refuses to let go of the hold after the match is over, and when WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter and referees try to calm him down, Shamrock lets go only to punch Mabel in the face a few times before scaring everyone off again. WWF owner Vince McMahon and Paul Bearer show up as everyone is on the way, and Vince congratulates Shamrock on the way to the commentary table to be special guest commentary for the next match.

No sooner does WWF owner Vince McMahon sit at the table does "Stone Cold" Steve Austin show up. Vince accuses Austin of stealing the spotlight from The Undertaker, Kane and Mankind, then Austin flips him off and also guests on commentary, wanting to know first-hand who the #1 contender to the WWF Championship. The Undertaker, however, fails to show up, and Vince leaves the table, sensing something is wrong. Vince McMahon tells ring announcer Tony Chimel to announce that The Undertaker is not here due to being "chickenshit," and that Vince has determined that the match to determine a #1 contender for the WWF Championship will be a one-on-one match between Kane and Mankind. Not only that, but it is a no-holds-barred and falls count anywhere in the building. Mankind sits near the stairs, saying he has given enough and will not give any more, as he will not fight his friend Kane. Vince rings the bell and tells Kane to fight Mankind. Kane gets out of the ring, grabs a steel chair, then smacks it into Mankind's head, driving it into the steel steps. Kane then rolls Mankind into the ring, drags him to the center of the ring, and pins Mankind with the Tombstone Piledriver cover. Kane then unmasks...and it's The Undertaker. The show immediately ends.
