Mankind beats Owen Hart, this time with a piledriver instead of the Mandible Claw, in a match where weapons are somehow allowed and Owen Hart's Slammy is used as a weapon.
Vince McMahon interviews "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, Jose Lothario and Jose's son Pete. Jose Lothario says that he is doing much better physically, and is determined to stay in Shawn's corner and that Shawn will do his best and take back the WWF Championship. Pete has assisted his father in every way possibly, and says that in Texas, they don't play the game that Sycho Sid plays, and if he has to assist Shawn in any way possible and be in his corner, he will. Shawn says Sid has upset the Lothario family, and that his tricks won't work at Royal Rumble, and can't wait for his interview later tonight. He also says he wouldn't miss Bret "The Hit Man" Hart vs. Vader for the world tonight, and insists that he won't interfere.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart says he knows where Shawn's integrity lies, and if he wants to be at ringside for his match against Vader, he'd like to see "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels stick his nose in his business. As a matter of fact, he dares him. Bret says Vader is big but stupid, and Vader is going to make a big, last-second mistake. Bret leaves when he hears Sycho Sid's theme.
Jim Ross interviews Sycho Sid in the ring. Sycho Sid says he is intimiated by nothing or no one, and calls the ring "the dying field," and in the dying field, it's hit or be hit, kick or be kicked, and hit someone with a camera before you get hit first. The day he was born, he was born "The Man." He tells "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels that he can never have that claims, even in his own hometown. He plans to walk into San Antonio with the odds against him, and walk in the man and walk out "The Man" as he is the master and ruler of the world. As Sid is about to leave, Shawn Michaels shows up with Jose Lothario to guest on commentary for the next match. As Shawn stands on the commentary table and dances, Sycho Sid apologizes to everyone around the world for what he will do to Shawn at Royal Rumble as he will not be held responsible.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen watching the next match from backstage.
During Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Sycho Sid grabs a cameraman and takes him to the back while "Stone Cold" Steve Austin attacks Bret "The Hit Man" Hart from behind. The referee does not see it as he is keeping Vader away from Hart outside of the ring, and he never sees Austin. Vader beats Bret with a Vader Bomb, taking full advantage of the beating Austin has given to Bret. Ater the match, we see Sycho Sid attacking Pete Lothario. Sid says it will hurt him to do this, but he powerbombs Pete into a table as Jose Lothario and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels rush to the back. After the break, Shawhn, Savio Vega, "The Portuguese Man-O-War" Aldo Montoya and Bart Gunn check on Pete, then Shawn looks for Sid backstage.
