nWo Souled Out 1997 - The Results

The show begins with a fleet of garbage trucks flying nWo flags - and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan's limousine - being escorted to the arena by the local police force as the New World Order have the time of their lives on the way there.

A live band plays in the beginning of the event. Eric Bischoff introduces "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall), who says that the WCW as we know it doesn't exist tonight and that the show is all about the New World Order. Eric Bischoff and Ted DiBiase do commentary, the wrestling ring is all black with nWo logos all over it, the voice of the beginning and end of the nWo announcements introduces all of the competitors (and makes fun of everyone from WCW while putting the nWo members on a pedestal) and Nick Patrick referees all of the matches, much to the advantage of the New World Order. Also, only the nWo members come out to music, while the WCW members come out to silence.

Masahiro Chono beast Chris Jericho after putting Jericho through a table, which referee Nick Patrick allows. During the match, numerous members of WCW - including Sister Sherri, Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray), The Faces of Fear (Meng and The Barbarian), "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, Debra McMichael, The Nasty Boys (Jerry Sags and Brian Knobbs) and WCW referee Randy Anderson - show up in the crowd dressed in all black.

We got a look at women on motorcycles next to the entrance ramp that are competing to be "Miss nWo," as well as some women who have written in to the New World Order. The women on the motorcycles are then interviewed by Jeff Katz, who asks them some rather suggestive questions.

Big Bubba beats Hugh Morrus by count-out in a Mexican Death Match after referee Nick Patrick resets the ten-count as Bubba is knocked down, allows Bubba to run Hugh Morrus over with a motorcyle, and gives Hugh Morrus a fast count-out on the entrance ramp. The women on the motorcycles are interviewed by Jeff Katz again after the match.

Despite rampant rulebreaking by Michael Wallstreet (and allowed by referee Nick Patrick), Jeff Jarrett beats Michael Wallstreet. During the match, Debra McMichael tries to coax Steve "Mongo" McMichael into helping Jeff Jarrett. McMichael hits Wallstreet with his steel Halliburton briefcase as Michael Wallstreet has Jarrett in an abdominal stretch and forces Nick Patrick to count to three at normal speed. Jeff Katz interviews the "senior division" of the Miss nWo competition.

Before the next match, it is revealed that Buff Bagwell has gotten so buff that he has trouble getting his arms out of his jacket.

Buff Bagwell beats Scotty Riggs with his new finisher, the "Buff Blockbuster" - a blockbuster from the top rope. Jeff Katz interviews more "Miss nWo" competitors after the match. The mystery voice that announces all of the wrestlers' introductions calls Riggs a loser a few times during the match.

Scott Norton beats Diamond Dallas Page. During the match, the real Sting is seen in the crowd. The mystery voice also calls Page a loser much like it did Riggs. The rest of the New World Order then show up to give Page another chance to join the New World Order, saying they like his moves and style and they want him in the nWo. DDP accepts, then hits Norton with the Diamond Cutter before fighting off everyone else before escaping through the crowd and tearing the nWo shirt in half. Buff Bagwell tells DDP he has no idea what he has done and that he will never be a member of the nWo as far as he is concerned, and that this is his last shot. Nick Patrick then speaks into the camera to announce that Scott Norton has won by count-out. Jeff Katz interviews some more "Miss nWo" competitors.

The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) beat The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) to win the WCW World Tag Team Championships after referee Nick Patrick is knocked down and WCW referee Randy Anderson shows up to make the count, much to the chagrin of Eric Bischoff and Ted DiBiase.

Eddie Guerrero retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship that he has never worn around his waist against Syxx in a Ladder Match and brings the United States Heavyweight Championship back to WCW.

Becky Pate is crowned "Miss nWo."

"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan is accompanied by Dallas Cowboys members Nate Newton, George Teague and Ray Donaldson on the way to the ring before the main event.

The Giant vs. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan ends with referee Nick Patrick refuses to give The Giant the win and the New World Order rushing into the ring to fight The Giant. Eric Bischoff hands Hogan a guitar, and Hogan smashes it into The Giant's back, bringing him down. After hitting him again with a wooden chair, the words "nWo 4 Life" are spray painted on The Giant's back.
