Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Jerry "The King" Lawler beat Goldust and "Wildman" Marc Mero by disqualification when Goldust blatantly chokes Helmsley as Helmsley is tied up in the ropes and refuses to let go.
In pre-recorded comments from earlier today in the San Antonio Alamodome, Sycho Sid says that he will have to be the monster to tangle with "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels' mind, and that Shawn will have the look that confirms he is the master and ruler of the world in front of his own hometown and his friends and family when he has him by the throat.
Live at Park Place in San Antonio, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels says nobody can get as nasty and low-down as he can, and that he will kick Sycho Sid in the teeth. He says that the Lothario family may be defenseless, but he is not, and that when Sycho Sid comes to the Alamodome, he, his friends and his family will be in the crowds and Sid will be the most unpopular man. He plans to take the WWF Championship back and kick Sid's teeth so far down his throat he'll see them in his next stool sample. He has had pressure on his shoulders for the last two years, and he has delivered more than the U.S. postal service, and that he is the best man in the WWF whether corporate likes it or not, and the road to become leader of the new generation begins again at Royal Rumble.
Bret "The Hit Man" Hart shows up, and it is noted that he is limping on the way to the ring due to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin injuring his ankle with a steel chair last weekend on Superstars. Hart guests on commentary for the next match.
Rocky Maivia beats The British Bulldog by count-out. During the match, Owen Hart shows up and stands in front of Bret "The Hit Man" Hart as he continues to do guest commentary. This ends when "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up and hits Bulldog with a chop block, and Bret chases Austin to the back. Owen follows Bret, not knowing what is going on at first, but he returns to ringside to check on Bulldog before helping him to the back along with Clarence Mason.
Faarooq, surrounded by the rest of the Nation of Domination (J.C. Ice, Wolfie D, Crush and Clarence Mason - who was just helping Bulldog to the back before the jumpcut, revealing that this segment was pre-recorded), says that the Nation is unified. Crush says he will do whatever it takes by any means necessary to dominate against The Undertaker. Before the break, the show reveals that it's not live yet again when Rocky Maivia is seen live at Park Place in San Antonio, Texas - and Vince McMahon notices him - when the show is the last of the TV tapings from Albany, New York and Rocky has just had a match.
The Undertaker beats Crush by disqualification when the rest of the Nation of Domination (Faarooq, J.C. Ice, Wolfie D). During the match, Vader is seen watching the match from just near the backstage area. After the match, Vader joins the Nation in attacking 'Tkaer, and hits two Vader Bombs on him. Ahmed Johnson shows with a 2x4 to go after Faarooq, but The Nation stop all of his momentum. The show ends with Faarooq hitting Ahmed Johnson in the back with the 2x4.
