Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for May 20, 1996

Steve "Mongo" McMichael is not on commentary as he is preparing for "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson along with Kevin Greene.

Fire and Ice (Scott "Flash" Norton and Ice Train) vs. The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) is thrown out after the match goes out of control.

In the June issue of WCW Magazine: Get inside the demented mind of The Giant! Find out what Woman is up to! Exclusive photos from Uncensored!

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair beats Eddie Guerrero after Eddie's shoulders are down for the three-count during the Figure Four Leg Lock and Flair grabs Woman's hands for leverage.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, Woman and Miss Elizabeth. "Macho Man" Randy Savage is supposedly somewhere in the building, despite being banned from entry. Flair says Savage is somewhere in town, but is locked up after trying to spoil an evening between him and Miss Elizabeth. He then says Steve "Mongo" McMichael isn't in the building because he and Anderson have him scared, and tells him and Greene that they've made a mistake for coming to North Carolina without his permission and for thinking they can cross-train football and professional wrestling. He then tells Kevin Greene he's not going to make it to mini-camp, then walks off with a wine glass and a bottle of champagne along with Woman and Miss Elizabeth.

Ric Flair joins in on commentary with Woman and Miss Elizabeth with the trappings of the buffet table, and guests on commentary for the rest of the night.

Sting and Lex Luger retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships against The Faces of Fear (Meng and The Barbarian). After the match, it is announced that "Macho Man" Randy Savage has made it to the building.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund is outside the building, as "Macho Man" Randy Savage has arrived and is being denied entry. Okerlund tells him that high-level WCW officials are convening concerning his future, and Savage wants those officials to be real careful what they do about his future and to make the right decision, and accusses Okerlund of setting him up. He then tries to rush into the building, but to no avail.

Diamond Dallas Page beats Brad Armstrong.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page inside the ring. He brags about his Battlebowl victory, and tells The Giant "you're mine." Okerlund, however, informs Diamond Dallas Page that he will not be granted his World title shot against The Giant due to him being eliminated early even though the referee did not see it, and that the title shot at The Great American Bash has been awarded to Lex Luger instead. Page is irate.

The Giant retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. Ric Flair leaves the commentary table after the match.
