In Your House 8: Beware of Dog - The Results (The Original Night)

During the Free For All, Mr. Perfect interviews The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) and Hillbilly Jim when Sunny shows up. She says that last week at Madison Square Garden, Phineas I. Godwinn signed a document that allowed her to become their official co-manager.

The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) beat The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) to become the WWF Tag Team Champions after Billy Gunn distracts Phineas by kissing Sunny on the apron.

Dok Hendrix interviews The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn). Billy Gunn says she gave Sunny what she wanted.

As Dox Henrix runs down the card one more time, Goldust and Marlena make an appearance. He tells The Undertaker to come and get him right now. The lights also flicker as Goldust speaks.

Dok Hendrix interviews "Wildman" Marc Mero. Mero says that this is the dawn of a new day, and welcomes Hunter Hearst Helmsley to the jungle.

"Wildman" Marc Mero beats Hunter Hearst Helmsley after Helmsley tries to make an example out of Mero in front of Sable.

Mr. Perfect interviews Jim Cornette. Cornette says there will be plenty of bombshells dropped tonight. He also announces that Owen Hart will accompany The British Bulldog to the ring as his manager for one night only so that Bulldog sticks to the game plan, as he will be busy with Vader's match against Yokozuna later on. Cornette plans to have "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels gutless, beltless and friendless.

As Savio Vega makes his entrance for the next match, the power goes out, knocking out the WWF satellite feed. The following matches, in bold, took place in the the dark but were not seen on television. (Because of that, they basically did not happen as far as any storylines are concerned.)

Savio Vega beats "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

Yokozuna beats Vader.

Goldust retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship against The Undertaker in a Casket Match.

Jake Roberts quickly beats Justin Bradshaw.

The power comes back on just in time for the main event.

Dok Hendrix interviews "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels. Shawn says he's focused, and that while tonight's show may make for a good plot for Melrose Place, he tells The British Bulldog to "beware of the Kliq." Michaels and Jose Lothario run into Mr. Perfect on their way to the ring.

Before the next match, Clarence Mason gets on the mic and accuses "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels of breaking up The British Bulldog and Diana Hart Smith's marriage. He had hoped Shawn's actions would cease and desist immediately, but he has now hit him with a subpoena for "attempted alientation of affection." When the bell rings, Shawn tears up the court summons.

Both "The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels and The British Bulldog have their shoulders on their mats with one arm draped over the other person, resulting in a double pinfall. During he match, The British Bulldog is whipped into the referee, knocking him out of the ring. Owen Hart tries to interfere but gets kicked in the face by Shawn Michaels. Michaels reverses a running power slam and puts Bulldog in a German Suplex pin, but his shoulders are on the mat along with The Bulldog's. The original referee has recovered by this time, and counted the pinfall from behind Bulldog despite being out of position, and declares Shawn the winner. Diana Hart Smith is holding the belt into the air in the aisle when WWF President Gorilla Monsoon shows up, takes the belt from her, and talks with both referees and ring announcer Howard Finkel. Finkel announces that the match has ended in a draw, and pending a rematch for the title, Shawn Michaels retains the WWF Championship.
