Raw Deal - Raw recap for May 15, 2017

General Manager Kurt Angle shows up to start tonight's show. He talks about Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns settling the score last week, and announces that Strowman shattered his elbow during the match, received surgery for it, and will now be out of action for six months. At Extreme Rules, there will be an Extreme Rules Fatal 5-Way Match to decide who will become the #1 contender for the Universal Championship. The competitors are Seth Rollins, Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns. As Angle leaves, Roman Reigns arrives and says a Fatal 5-Way Match is not necessary for he is the #1 contender, as he beat The Undertaker and Braun Strowman, and is the only guy who can beat Lesnar for the championship. Finn Balor shows up and tells Roman he was the first Universal champ and never lost the title, and the line starts behind him. Finn and Roman stare down, and Roman says Finn has the heart but not the killer instinct. Finn Balor reminds Roman that he beat him on his first night on Raw. Samoa Joe then shows up, and says it's really about actions and results, as he made Seth Rollins tap to the Coaquina Clutch, then Bray Wyatt shows up as Joe says he will win the Fatal 5-Way. Bray says everyone else in the ring is trembling and will cower, fall and run. Seth Rollins shows up before Bray can say more, and says the crowd came for a fight and he's here to fight Joe. As Joe and Seth fight at the ramp, Roman lays out Finn and goes after Bray. Joe hobbles out, and Bray knocks Seth out of the ring only to be Superman Punched. Finn takes Bray and Seth out, then hits Roman with Sling Blade before taking everyone else out with a tope con hilo.

Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Finn Balor are arguing backstage when General Manager Kurt Angle catches up with them. He puts Seth in a match against Bray Wyatt, while Roman and Finn are booked to square off against each other.

Jeff Hardy beats Sheamus after Sheamus Brogue Kicks Matt Hardy off the apron - after Matt Hardy runs Cesaro off to stop his interference attempt - only for Jeff Hardy to hit him with a Twist of Fate. Before the match it is announced that The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) will be defending the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships against Sheamus and Cesaro at Extreme Rules.

Alicia Fox beats Sasha Banks.

The Miz beats Dean Ambrose by disqualification. During the match, Maryse gets on the apron and distracts the referee. Miz tries to hit Dean from behind with a low blow, but Dean sees it coming and answers with a kick to the groin. The kick to the groin is in full view of the ref now that Maryse is off the apron, and Dean is disqualified. Dean Ambrose retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Charly Caruso interviews Finn Balor. Finn Balor says it's about the size of the fight in the dog, and says he has plenty of heart and can do things men twice his size can't do. Finn Balor then goes on to say that while this may be Roman Reigns' yard, it is his Universe.

Alexa Bliss shows up. She calls Newark, New Jersey "the sweat glands of America" and calls the crowd the poster children of failure while calling herself a winner. Alexa Bliss goes on to say that she's done everything she said she would set out to do. As Alexa says she is the rightful goddess of the WWE for a reason, Bayley shows up. Bayley gives Alexa credit where credit is due, and after saying that the Raw Women's Championship is the only title she is concerned with, she tells Alexa that she is exercising her rematch clause at Extreme Rules. Alexa uses the event title as a chance to mock Bayley, saying she will never get extreme before telling her to go back to the kiddie table and leave the title matches to the adults. Bayley shoves Alexa hard, and this leads to a brief brawl that ends with Alexa pulling a kendo stick out from underneath the ring, smacking it into Bayley's back and mocking Bayley by implying she is a crybaby afterwards.

General Manager Kurt Angle is backstage with The Miz and Maryse. The Miz is angry, feeling he should be Intercontinental Champion right now. Angle gives him another shot at Extreme Rules, but Miz says this is not good enough and wants the Intercontinental title to change hands on a disqualification. Angle makes it so, and tells Miz to watch his tone of voice the next time he talks to him, which cause Maryse to yell at him in French. As Angle responds by mangling the French language, much to Maryse's horror, "The Drifter" Elias Sampson shows up playing his guitar, leaving after Angle asks him what he wants.

Neville and TJP beat "Gentleman" Jack Gallagher and Austin Aries. During the match, Neville grabs Gallagher's foot to stop a running drop kick to TJP. Austin takes down Neville, which distracts Gallagher, and TJP is able to hit the Detonation Kick for the win.

The United Kingdom Championship Special is this Friday night at 3 PM Eastern/2 PM Central (8 PM UK time/GMT) on WWE Network! Also, Extreme Rules is live on pay-per-view and WWE Network on June 4th!

General Manager Kurt Angle checks on Bayley in the trainer's room. Bayley tells Angle she wants to get extreme after Alexa Bliss has continuously mocked her and her own fans, friends and family. Angle gives Bayley her rematch against Alexa Bliss for the WWE Raw Women's Championship at Extreme Rules in a Kendo Stick On A Pole Match.

R-Truth tells Goldust he feels bad after last week, and says he let them down. Goldust says R-Truth has picked him up time and time again and that he is willing to do the same for him, and that they have to keep getting back up and digging to get to the top, starting with Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) tonight.

We see a video package detailing the recent history between Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman.

Roman Reigns beats Finn Balor.

Bray Wyatt is on the TitanTron, saying there is an evil surrounding Raw and lurks in the shadows. Some say it is a man, others a conqueror, but Bray says it truly is a beast. While this may be General Manager Kurt Angle's show and Roman Reigns' yard, this is his world, and he will take the spear of destiny and plunge it into the heart of the beast and become Universal Champion after beating Brock Lesnar. As for tonight, he has a soul to save: that of Seth Rollins. He says Seth claims to be the man, the architect and the king slayer, but asks if Seth will either show what it takes to look evil right in the eye and conquer it, or if he will give in to his gutless instincts and run.

Charly Caruso interviews Seth Rollins, who says he is far from gutless and that Bray Wyatt won't get in his way. He also says he doesn't have to announce that he's here - unlike Wyatt - and that if anyone is beating Brock Lesnar, it's him.

Goldust beats up R-Truth before they can take on Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson), effectively ending The Golden Truth. Goldust then tells R-Truth "That's what's up."

Before the next match, Enzo Amore and Big Cass show their New Jersey pride, but it isn't long before Titus O'Neil and Apollo Crews interrupt, with Titus mocking Enzo and Cass before saying that Apollo will beat Enzo. Big Cass tells Titus that the match is actually the two of them, not Apollo and Enzo, and that when he's done with him, he will not like the way he looks. He guarantees it.

Big Cass beats Titus O'Neil after a distraction from Enzo Amore on the apron puts a stop to Titus giving Cass a country whipping with his leather belt. After the match, Enzo tries to take a selfie in front of a downed Titus, but Apollo Crews kicks Enzo in the back of the head.

Tomorrow night on 205 Live: Austin Aries vs. TJP!

Neville and TJP talk backstage. Neville says TJP is close to a title shot, and if he wants it, they will have to end their Austin Aries problem once and for all tomorrow night.

Seth Rollins beats Bray Wyatt by disqualification after Samoa Joe shows up and annihilates Seth Rollins. Bray Wyatt then gets in the ring, stares down with Joe, then Bray and Joe attack Seth until Bray decides to hit Joe with Sister Abigail and do the same to Seth afterwards.

Here are the top 10 moments from tonight's show!

Page is ejected from the ring by security.

Hiroshi Tanahashi beats Adam Cole. The crowd chants "Thank you, Adam!" as The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) get into the ring and hug Adam Cole, then the arena goes dark. We see "The Cleaner" Kenny Omega on the video screen, who says this is Adam's special moment and curtain call and wishes he could be there, but cannot. Nevertheless, he sends his special thanks, telling him that his tenure in Bullet Club and professional wrestling has been long and storied, but like all fairy tales, there has to be a hero and there has to be a villain. He then tells Adam Cole that he is fired, and that he is replaced by the man sitting next to Kenny Omega: "The Villain" Marty Scurll. The light eventually come on, and Scurll is now in the ring. Scurll takes off his mask, and opens his umbrella to reveal there is a Bullet Club logo on it. Scurll waves goodbye as The Young Bucks hit Cole with a pair of superkicks. Scrull then opens his jacket to reveal a Bullet Club shirt underneath before smacking Cole with another umbrella. Scurll then holds Cole up by the neck with the umbrella handle, and The Young Bucks - figuratively, literally and symbolically - kiss Cole goodbye.

"The Almighty" Christopher Daniels retains the ROH World Championship against Jay Lethal and "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes. During the match, Lethal sends Cody into Daniels, who is standing on the apron, and Daniels falls into a table. Cody kicks Lethal into referee Todd Sinclair and proceeds to kick Lethal in the groin. When Lethal goes for a Lethal Injection, Cody turns it into a Cross Rhodes, but Lethal kicks out. He then sings a song where he brags about wrecking James Storm's World title shot until Storm shows up. Storm doesn't show up on the stage, however, as he is behind EC3.
