Generation NXT - NXT recap for January 11, 2017

Moments before tonight's show, Asuka was attacked by Billie Kay and Peyton Royce.

Billie Kay and Peyton Royce beat Macy Evans and Sarah Bridges. After the match, Billie and Peyton tell Asuka that she learned the hardy way that they are the dominating force of the NXT women's division, and that her belt belongs to them. An injured Asuka goes after Billie and Peyton, but she is easily overpowered until Nikki Cross of SAnitY makes the save, scaring Billie and Peyton out of the ring before hitting Asuka with a top rope missile drop kick.

During the break, an angry Asuka attacks one ref and clears the others out on the way to the back.

Nikki Cross says that she will take the NXT Women's Championship, and Eric Young says that this is the start of the taking for SAnitY.

"The Drifter" Elias Samson beats Johnathan Cruz.

Andrade "Cien" Almas beats Oney Lorcan. After the match, Almas says there will be no more mistakes in 2017.

In an interview from earlier today, "The King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura calls his matches against Joe "really tough" and is proud to be champion. He says Bobby Roode is talented, well-spoken and well-dressed, but he will not be NXT Champion. He then receives a note from Bobby Roode, who refuses to be on camera for the interview, and the note happens to be a ticket from NXT TakeOver: Dallas, the event where Nakamura debuted.

#DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) retain the NXT Tag Team Championships against The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder). After the match, Paul Ellering shows up, and The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar) attack DIY from behind before lifting the NXT tag team titles into the air.

NXT General Manager William Regal announces that there will be a match between #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) and The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar) for the tag team titles at NXT TakeOver: San Antonio. Also, there will be a contract signing for the NXT Championship match between "The King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura and Bobby Roode. Asuka barges into the room with tears rolling down her face, demanding the women's title be defended at TakeOver. When Regal asks who she wants to defend the title against, she says "All of them."
