205:Alive - 205 Live recap for January 3, 2017

Due to the events of last week, Rich Swann is unable to compete tonight, and TJ Perkins will be facing Neville instead.

Tajiri beats Sean Maluta, then Brian Kendrick shows up and welcomes Tajiri to 205 Live. As he extends his hand as part of a warm welcome, Tajiri spits green mist into Kendrick's face.

Dasha Fuentes interviews Neville, who says that TJ Perkins would never have been Cruiserweight Champion if he was in The Cruiserweight Classic, and says that nobody cares about his hardships or his inability to be taken seriously since coming to America. He says that if the system works against you, you make your own system, and he no longer cares what anyone thinks about him. Tonight, he will prove that Perkins' 15 minutes of fame are up.

We get a closer look at Tony Nese.

"The Extraordinary Gentleman" Jack Gallagher vs. Tony Nese ends when Ariya Daivari attacks Gallagher from behind with a chop block. Referees have to stop Daivari from attacking Gallagher further.

Cedric Alexander tells Alicia Fox it's not her fault that he's been losing lately due to her distracting his opponents, intentionally or not. Cedric and Alicia kiss after Cedric tells Alicia to be more careful.

Mustafa Ali beats Noam Dar with a reverse 450 splash from the top rope. Dasha Fuentes interviews Noam Dar after the match, but Noam Dar tells her not to worry about his 2017 as all he needs is Alicia Fox. He says that Cedric Alexander may not be man enough for Alicia Fox, but Alicia Fox is always welcome in his corner.

We get a closer look at Akira Tozawa, who is coming soon to 205 Live.

Tom Phillips interviews TJ Perkins, who gives Neville credit in the ring but says Neville does nothing but complain outside of it. He says Neville is the bully that he accuses America of being.
