Layin' da SmackDown! - SmackDown recap for September 20, 2013

Vickie Guerrero is in the ring. She then introduces "the laughingstock of the WWE," Daniel Bryan. D-Bry would rather be champion for a day than a corporate stooge for a lifetime, and insists that he was never part of Scott Armstrong's plan. Vickie doesn't buy it, and then rattles off the names of the 11 men who saved him from a beating from The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) on Raw earlier this week. She then puts them all in an 11-on-3 gauntlet match against The Shield where The Shield is in the ring at all times...and she's saving Daniel Bryan for last if they all fail.

Natalya guests on commentary for the next match.

AJ Lee beats Naomi with the Black Widow.

Santino Marella beats Jack Swagger.

Ryback destroys Nick Nardone after labeling him a bully.

Randy Orton shows up. He suppressed his anger for two years, until Triple H and Stephanie McMahon wanted him to be the Randy Orton of old again. The Miz was but the first example of what happens when anyone gets in his way. He plans to beat Daniel Bryan and become "my WWE Champion" at Battleground.

Triple H stops the 11-on-3 handicap match against The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) five men in, and demands Vickie Guerrero, who is watching from ringside, meet him in his office.

Triple H tells Vickie Guerrero that her match is not a good way to quell the rebellion from Monday night, as it would lead to more doing it down the line. Also, he says that the Superstars need to feel safe. He then tells Vickie Guerrero to make the following match official: The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) vs Daniel Bryan and The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso).

Triple H apologizes to Zack Ryder and Justin Gabriel for being in Vickie Guerrero's match, and tells them to hit the ring for a match.

The Wyatt Family (Erick Rowan and Luke Harper) beat Zack Ryder and Justin Gabriel. Bray Wyatt hits Sister Abigail on Ryder.

Triple H apologizes to Rob Van Dam, then gives him a rematch against Alberto Del Rio for the World title at Battleground. Not surprisingly, Del Rio comes out of hiding in the trainer's room and attacks RVD.

Alberto Del Rio beats R-Truth with the Cross Arm Breaker.

Daniel Bryan and The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) beat The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns).
