Layin' da SmackDown! - SmackDown recap for August 9, 2013

Randy Orton beats Rob Van Dam.

It's time for Miz TV! Tonight's guests are AJ Lee and Big E Langston. AJ Lee says that she likes Big E as a friend, but when it comes to her past boyfriends, AJ tells Miz - when asked - that she has never considered herself the problem that ended each and every relationship. She obviously thinks all of them left her, as did Kaitlyn...but says the Divas title will never leave her. When she mentions Dolph Ziggler, Ziggler shows up and says he's over her, but AJ doesn't believe him. Kaitlyn shows up, says AJ has cost bost her and Ziggler their titles, and goes on to say she has no idea why AJ is so obsessed with them. After some arguments from both sides, Miz puts an end to the furor and makes a match for SummerSlam: Kaitlyn and Ziggler vs AJ and Big E. When Kaitlyn tells AJ she'll "slap the crazy off of her face," both ladies fight and are separated by Big E, who then gets Zig-Zagged by Ziggler. Kaitlyn then Spears AJ.

Alberto Del Rio wants an explanation from Vickie Guerrero as to why he has to face Christian tonight. It's because of what he did to Ricardo Rodriguez on Raw earlier this week, according to Vickie.

Fandango beats Kofi Kingston thanks to a distraction by Summer Rae.

Renee Young asks Daniel Bryan about the corporate makeover. The only thing D-Bry will change is history when he beats John Cena at SummerSlam.

Daniel Bryan beats Wade Barrett with the No Lock when Barrett tries to cut D-Bry's beard off...and fails. After the match, D-Bry breaks Barrett's razor.

Renee Young interviews Damien Sandow, who now holds a bigger, "Sandow-ized" Money In The Bank briefcase made out of leather. He plans to take the World title from Alberto Del Rio.

Kane beats 3MB (Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre, Jinder Mahal) in a 3-on-1 handicap match, then The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan) shows up on the TitanTron. Bray Wyatt isn't afraid of Kane's fire, as he says it can't burn him and that he's "already dead."

Brock Lesnar announces his match against CM Punk is personal. He considers Punk to be nothing compared to him, and that he let Punk exist out of respect for Paul Heyman before saying that Punk's accomplishments pale in comparison to his own. At SummerSlam, Lesnar plans to destroy Punk.

Christian gets a win on Alberto Del Rio from out of nowhere after thwarting Del Rio into falling victim to a pinfall attempt. Del Rio is livid and tries to beat up Christian, only to eat a Killswitch. After Christian leaves, Damien Sandow rushes in and tries to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase only to be thwarted by Cody Rhodes.
