Razor Ramon beats "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase when DiBiase's attempt to ram Razor's head into a turnbuckle he exposed backfires.

Todd Pettengill interviews The Steiner Brothers' (Rick and Scott Steiner) mother and their sister Crystal when Jim Cornette introduces The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Pritchard and "Gigolo" Jimmy Del Rey).

The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) retain the WWF World Tag Team Championships against The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Pritchard and "Gigolo" Jimmy Del Rey), even after Pritchard smacks Rick Steiner in the back with Cornette's tennis racket behind the referee's back.

Joe Fowler does his very first WWF pay-per-view interview with WWF Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels, who is flanked by Diesel. Shawn plans to prove to the world that he is the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time, and Diesel says he plans to keep Mr. Perfect off the champ.

Shawn Michaels retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Mr. Perfect by count-out, after Diesel keeps to his word and keeps Mr. Perfect off Michaels behind the referee's back. After the match, Mr. Perfect brawls with both Diesel and Michaels, but Diesel knocks Perfect out. Todd Pettengill interviews Shawn Michaels as Michaels and Diesel head back to the back, but Michaels just pushes him out of the way. Perfect gets out of the ring and runs after Michaels and

Jim Fowler interviews The 1-2-3 Kid. Irwin R. Schyster is bigger and stronger than him just like every other opponent he's taken on, but that's nothing new to The Kid, who plans to give 110% as always.

I.R.S. beats The 1-2-3 Kid.

Todd Pettengill interviews Bruce and Owen Hart. Stu and Helen Hart were supposed to be here, but Stu just had reconstructive knee surgery thanks to an attack from Jerry Lawler, and Bruce and Owen are here to represent Bret behind the barricade.

When Bret Hart vs. "The King" Jerry Lawler is about to start, Jerry Lawler shows up on two crutches with an ice pack on his left kneecap. When Todd Pettengill asks Lawler for answers, Lawler tells Bret Hart he hates his entire family and can't wait to get his hands around Bret's neck. Lawler then says the rental car he took to SummerSlam didn't work and an old woman pulled out in front of her, causing him to crash in a ten-car pile-up. The doctors have told him he won't be able to take on Hart under any circumstances, and sends out his "self-appointed court jester" Doink to beat him up. Doink shows up with two buckets and a cigar. One bucket has confetti he tosses at the crowd, but the second has water that he douses on Owen and Bruce Hart. Owen and Bruce open up the barricade and try to get to Doink, but to no avail.

Doink vs. Bret Hart ends with Jerry Lawler climbing into the ring and hitting Bret Hart with one of hi crutches, revealing that Lawler was not hurt after all. Owen and Bruce Hart jump the barricade to go after Lawler but is stopped by officials. As Doink and Lawler go back to the back, Jack Tunney shows up and tells him to compete. Bret Hart goes after Lawler, but the referees hold him back. As per Jack Tunney, Howard Finkel announces that if Lawler does not enter the ring to wrestle Bret Hart, he will be banned from the WWF for life. Bret Hart isn't in the mood to wait, however, and goes after Lawler, hitting him with one of Doink's buckets as he forces him into the ring.

Bret "Hit Man" Hart beats "The King" Jerry Lawler with the Sharpshooter, but he refuses to let go of the hold. "The King" Jerry Lawler is awarded the victory by reverse decision. After this, Bret Hart goes after Lawler again, but Lawler rolls out of the ring and onto a stretcher, where Bruce and Owen Hart try to attack him as he is pushed back to the back. Bret, Owen and Bruce stand tall in the ring.

Ludvig Borga trashes America and Lex Luger.

Ludvig Borga beats Marty Jannetty by submission.

Survivor Series airs on pay-per-view Thanksgiving eve!

The Rest In Piece is a no-disqualification and no count-outs match, but there will be a decisive winner.

The Undertaker beats Giant Gonzales in a Rest In Piece Match when Paul Bearer surprisingly returns with a black funeral wreathe, knocks out Harvey Whippleman, takes back the urn and commands The Undertaker to rise. After the match, Giant Gonzales choke slams Whippleman for failing him, and places the black funeral wreathe on top of him.\

Joe Fowler interviews Yokozuna, Mr. Fuji and Jim Cornette. Still a sore loser after The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) retained the tag team titles, Cornette promises that Yokozuna will rip Lex Luger limb from limb.

Tatanka and The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) beat Bam Bam Bigelow and The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu).

Joe Fowler interview Hank Carter, the driver of the Lex Express. Carter sings the praises of Lex Luger. He considers Philadelphia the highlight of the Lex Luger Call to Action due to the inspiring reaction and support from the catastrophically ill children Luger met while he was there. He says that Luger will no doubt win the WWF Championship.

Todd Pettengill interviews a fan in the SummerSlam crowd.

Mr. Kiotika Suzuki sings the Japanese national anthem "Kimigayo."

Aaron Neville, accompanied by "Macho Man" Randy Savage, sings "The Star-Spangled Banner."

Lex Luger beats Yokozuna by count-out. As a result, Lex Luger does not win the title, and Yokozuna retains the WWF Championship. Nevertheless, Luger celebrates with The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner), Tatanka and "Macho Man" Randy Savage.

Joe Fowler interviews Lex Luger when Ludvig Borga trashes him, everyone else in the locker room and America. He promises to crush Luger if he steps in the ring with him.

Come As You Are (WWF Superstar) - Superstars recap for August 28, 1993

The 1-2-3 Kid beats The Brooklyn Brawler. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from Irwin R. Schyster, who says that The 1-2-3 Kid may have been lucky against Razor Ramon and "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, but he will beat The 1-2-3 Kid at SummerSlam

"Mean" Gene Okerlund advertises a Madison Square Garden supercard with a triple main event on Saturday night, September 25th at 8 PM. Yokozuna will defend the WWF Championship against The Undertaker, The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) will defend the WWF Tag Team Championships against Bam Bam Bigelow and Adam Bomb, and Shawn Michaels will defend the WWF Intercontinental Championship against The 1-2-3 Kid. Also, Mr. Perfect will take on Diesel, and Tatanka faces Irwin R. Schyster. Furthermore, Razor Ramon goes one-on-one with Mr. Hughes, and both of those men (with Mr. Hughes accompanied by Harvey Wippleman) are interviewed for Face To Face. Wippleman says he has more on his mind than the people will comprehend, as it is Mr. Hughes' debut at Madison Square Garden. He tells Razor Ramon this will be a big loss for him, as it will be a fight, not a wrestling match, and says that Razor Ramon is eating tacos and burritos compared to the collard greens, pork chops and black eyed peas that Mr. Hughes is eating. Harvey Wippleman also says that Mr. Hughes is getting ready for Razor Ramon, and that Mr. Hughes will bash Razor Ramon upside the head with The Undertaker's urn. Razor tells Wippleman to spread the word that he is coming back to the MSG: the Madison Square Garden, not the foot additive. He says it will be Mr. Hughes first time there, but he is undefeated there. He then says that when Mr. Hughes looks around, he will find out that the Garden will be full of bad guys. Mr. Hughes says Razor will go down to the sidewalk slam. Razor tells Mr. Hughes "Don't sing it, bring it."

Before the next match, "Doctor" Tom Pritchard calls Jim Cornette "the shining light of Smoky Mountain Wrestling."

The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Pritchard and "Gigolo" Jimmy Delrey) beat Tony Roy and Jason Headings. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner). Scott says SummerSlam is for all the marbles, and Rick says the crowd know he and Scott like some fresh meat.

On the SummerSlam Report, it is announced that American recording artist Aaron Neville will be singing the American national anthem at the beginning of the show. We then hear from Bret "Hit Man" Hart, who says that "The King" Jerry Lawler must have underestimated him and must not have followed what he is capable of. Lawler beat him up from behind after becoming the King of the Ring like a dog and attacked his brother, "The Rocket" Owen Hart. He can never forget what he did to Owen, but the worst thing he could have done was involve his family in all of this, saying it is a line Lawler should never have crossed. He says he does not involve his family in his personal affairs, but if Lawler wants to do that, that's fine, because at SummerSlam he will execute him like the kings of old and chop his head off, and it will be the last anyone hears of Lawler. We then hear from Harey Wippleman and Giant Gonzales. Wippleman says all his dreams will come true at SummerSlam, as The Undertaker will leave the WWF in humiliation when he cannot beat Giant Gonzales. Gonzales says The Undertaker will be the one resting in peace. Wippleman hopes The Undertaker heard that, as Giant Gonzales is speaking the truth. We then hear from Razor Ramon, who says "The Million Dollar Man" Razor Ramon that he is so upset at losing to The 1-2-3 Kid that he will make him pay, and is DiBiase wants him, he's got him at SummerSlam. He says everyone will be watching, and says money won't save DiBiase.

We see the music video for "I'll Be Your Hero" starring Lex Luger.

Ludvig Borga beats Virgil, then removes Virgil's red, white and blue wristbands before bashing the fans, saying they have no choice but to live in America because they don't speak any other languages like he can. He tells the fans to take that and stick it, then shoves Virgil's wristbands into Virgil's mouth.

The Undertaker is seen in a graveyard. He says that at SummerSlam, Giant Gonzales will begin a journey into the shadow of death from which there is no return from the dark side. As he begins to lay Giant Gonzales' carcass into the hollowed earth, only then will he know the meaning of "rest in peace."

Mr. Perfect beats Dwayne Gill. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from Shawn Michaels, who is accompanied by Diesel. Shawn says that for the people who think perfection cannot be beaten, nothing is better than modern technology, and that is him. After the match, "The King" Jerry Lawler gets on the Magistrator and draws a diesel truck behind Perfect, saying Diesel will run Mr. Perfect like roadkill at SummerSlam.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund re-advertises the show for Madison Square Garden on Saturday night, September 25th at 8 PM. Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo) will take on Well Dunn (Timothy Well and Steve Dunn). Okerlund then interviews the Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) and the tandem of Luna Vachon and Johnny Polo, representing Bam Bam Bigelow and Adam Bomb, respectively. Scott Steiner says he loves wrestling in Madison Square Garden, and even though Adam Bomb and Bam Bam Bigelow have never wrestled as a team, it will be a great fight and The Steiners will show why they are the tag team champions. Rick says the bomb will be fizzled and it will be a big bomb. Luna tells The Steiners that what they see before them now is a part of what is their unforeseen contingency, as Adam Bomb are Bam Bam are unbeatable, unbreakable, unpinnable and unsuplexable. Johnny Polo says Adam Bomb is devising a counter to the Frankensteiner, and while The Steiners are the tag team champions, Adam Bomb and Bam Bam Bigelow have studied their moves while The Steiners have never seen Bam Bam and Adam Bomb as a team and therefore have no idea what they are capable of when together. The Steiner Brothers dare Luna and Johnny Polo to "bring 'em down."

The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) beat Reno Riggins and Barry Hardy. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from Tatanka, who says he will take revenge on Bam Bam Bigelow as The Smoking Gunns take care of The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu).

"Mean" Gene Oklerund interviews Yokozuna, Mr. Fuji and Jim Cornette in the ring. Cornette says the red, white and blue wristbands will be collector's items at SummerSlam, as they will be a call to hospital instead of a call to action. He says Lex Luger will have to be scraped up off the ground before being brought to a place where he can be brought back together. He then mentions the elbow pad stipulation, and says Lex Luger always wants an advantage, unlike Yokozuna and the Japanese people, whom he calls the most noble and honorable people and nation on the face of the planet due to having the intelligence and the guts to fight to the death for what they want. He then says Yokozuna is not just a man, but a 568-lb. monster who has stretchered off men like Crush, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Bret "Hit Man" Hart, Kamala and Hulk Hogan. After saying that Hulkamania is dead and buried six fett under at Yokozuna's hands, Cornette says that Luger will not be able to handle Yokozuna. All of a sudden, "Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up, gets in the ring and tells Yokozuna may be entering the ring at SummerSlam with Mr. Fuji and Jim Cornette as the WWF Champion with the support of a few of his countrymen, but Lex Luger will be entering the ring with the admiration of millions of fans who have enlisted in the Call To Action Campaign, the hopes and dreams of people who dare to excel and reach out for that brass ring, and the support and respect of every WWF Superstar including himself. Most importantly, Luger will be leaving SummerSlam will the WWF Championship. Savage then starts a "USA" chant. Suddenly, numerous WWF Superstars come out from the crowd and arrive at ringside to show support for Luger. Yokozuna is seen covering his ears to drown out the patriotic music as the show ends.

SummerSlam Spectacular 1993 - The Results

Yokozuna beats "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan after Mr. Fuji pulls at Duggan's ankle, taking Duggan out of his three-point stance and distracting him so that Yokozuna can hit the Banzai Drop. After the match, Yokozuna tosses the referee away before attempting the Banzai Drop on Duggan again. That fails when more referees shows up and confront Mr. Fuji while getting Duggan out of harm's way.

Backstage, Vince McMahon interviews Yokozuna, Jim Cornette and Mr. Fuji. Cornette states that Yokozuna was never a sleeping giant and always a beast, but now he is a wild, rabid animal who is ready to chew Luger up at SummerSlam. He tells Luger that he wanted this match and the chance to take the WWF Championship, and now he must take the responsibility upon himself and know that the actions of Yokozuna will be on him, for Yokozuna has no conscience, pity, fear or compassion. At SummerSlam, he will roll over in pain and cry for mercy \only to not get any because he brought it on himself. Cornette further states that Luger's career will be finished, the hopes of the American who believed in him will be smashed on the rocks forever, and the heartbeat of America will be silenced as Yokozuna stays WWF Champion.

Razor Ramon beats Blake Beverly after sending Beverly into the turnbuckle that he himself exposed before hitting the Razor's Edge.

We see footage of Lex Luger on the road with the Lex Express during his "Call To Action" campaign.

We see "The King" Jerry Lawler host a special edition of The King's Court with an Elvis Presley impersonator in a pink 1959 Cadillac. Lawler says that Bret "Hit Man" Hart is impersonating him, and the Elvis impersonator says that everyone has been impersonating him and that he does not like it either, and asks Lawler how he feels. Lawler says it makes his blood boil to see Hart take the shortcut to success by copying him, for there is only one king in the World Wrestling Federation and it is him. He says that he will break Hart in half and SummerSlam, and that Hart will never impersonate him again.

Bret "Hit Man" Hart says "The King" Jerry Lawler has crossed a line nobody has ever crossed before and has gone too far. He has no problem fighting his own battle, but he takes it personally when his family is brought up, and says that he cannot put into words how much anger and frustration he will take out on Lawler. He then promises that his match with Lawler at SummerSlam will be a mutilation, and that he has told his parents not to come to SummerSlam due to what he will do to Lawler. He then says his parents have told him that they will be there anyway along with the rest of the family to see him destroy Lawler. He tells Lawler he made a big mistake bringing up his family and that he will pay for it big time at SummerSlam, and that no matter who he surrounds himself with, he will always be a bogus, phony king.

The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) and Tatanka beat The Brooklyn Brawler, Barry Horowitz and Reno Riggins.

We see more footage of Lex Luger on the road with the Lex Express during his "Call To Action" campaign.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews The Undertaker in the ring. On the subject of what a "Rest In Peace Match" is, The Undertaker says that there are many that believe that in one's life, there comes a day where they must be held accountable for their actions. He says that this day of reckoning is at hand for Giant Gonzales at SummerSlam, for he has tried time and time again to destroy that which cannot be destroyed. He states that although he does not have Paul Bearer or the urn, he has the power of the creatures of the night, and he will take Giant Gonzales' flesh, drive his hand deep into his carcass and extract every living organ that he has in the Rest In Peace Match, and before the night is finished and he returns to the depths of the dark side, he will possess his soul. Suddenly, Giant Gonzales and Harvey Wippleman show up, and Gonzales tells The Undertaker that he will not get up and that he will rest in peace. The Undertaker removes his trenchcoat, and Giant Gonzales and Harvey Wippleman walk away.

We see even more footage of Lex Luger on the road with the Lex Express during his "Call To Action" campaign.

Shawn Michaels retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Bob Backlund after rolling Backlund up with an inside cradle and and grabbing the tights following Diesel's distraction of the referee.

Backstage, Vince McMahon interviews Ludvig Borga, who says that this will be the first and last SummerSlam for Marty Jannetty, and warns Marty to sign his check before getting in the ring with him. He will not only fight Jannetty, he will fight all of America at the same time, and he will give Jannetty pain that he has never had before that will never go away. As for the rest of the locker room, he just wants to destroy them and give them pain.

Marty Jannetty beats Duane Gill.

The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schsyter) in a steel cage match.

The show ends with a tribute to Lex Luger from "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Men On A Mission (Oscar, Mabel, Mo).

Come As You Are (WWF Superstar) - Superstars recap for August 21, 1993

"The King" Jerry Lawler says there is a lot of controversy as to who the real king is. He will show Bret "Hit Man" Hart who the greatest wrestler is at SummerSlam, but as fas as who the king is, he has an expert. An Elvis Presley impersonator shows up in a pink Cadillac and says that Lawler is the real deal, saying it takes a king to know a king, and that Bret is nothing but a hound dog and an impostor. Lawler tells Bret that after SummerSlam, he is going to the Heartbreak Hotel.

Marty Jannetty beats Barry Horowitz. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from Ludvig Borga, who tells Jannetty he will bring "pain, pain, and it's not gonna go away."

Ray Rougeau advertises a show for Nassau Coliseum for Friday night, August 27th. The 1-2-3 Kid meets Bastion Booger, Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo) faces Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster), Tatanka takes on Doink, Mr. Perfect faces Bam Bam Bigelow, The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) defend the WWF Tag Team Championships against The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu), Shawn Michaels defends the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Razor Ramon, and "Macho Man" Randy Savage and The Undertaker team up to take on Giant Gonzales and Mr. Hughes. Rougeau then interviews Razor and Shawn (accompanied by Diesel) for Face to Face. Shawn says he tried to talk Razor out of the match, but he didn't want to take the title, and now he is putting the title up at Nassau Coliseum. He tells Razor to comb his hair with a pork chop and wear all his gold, because that is as good as he is going to look all night. Razor admits Shawn is smooth and attractive, but when he steps in the ring with him, talking will not be enough and Shawn will be slapped around before he is hoisted high into the air and dropped onto his head. Shawn tells Razor he is tough, but he is the one with the gold and he earned it, and he can keep a title without getting his face. Razor tells Shawn "Don't sing it. Bring it." Shawn says he will be ready, willing and waiting. Razor says he will be, too.

The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) beat Dan Dubiel and Scott Despres. During the match, Despres breaks a pinfall by Pierre, and Pierre makes him pay for it with a double-team maneuver just like he and Pierre did to Dubiel.

Lex Luger and The Lex Express in Chicago, Illinois (where he met Bo Jackson and threw the first pitch for the Chicago White Sox) and Madison, Wisconsin.

We see Lex Luger talk about college, where he choose to play football until he got into the wrong crowd and made a lot of mistakes to the point that he had to leave the football team for disciplinary reasons, which forced him to mature early in hi sadult life.

We see Jim Cornette, Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji. Cornette says SummerSlam is one week away, and tells Lex Luger - who is meeting with the common people - that when SummerSlam comes around, he will get in the ring with a monster in Yokozuna who will tear him up and spit him out, as Yokozuna will have only one thing on his mind - ripping Luger apart, pleasing Mr. Fuji, keeping the WWF Championship, and teaching Luger the meaning of pain, fear, agony and defeat - as Lex Luger is drumming up support with the fans. He asks Luger what he will think about and how he will deal with the 568-lb. Yokozuna. He says that when all that weight drops on him, he will be squished like a grape and lose his chance at the WWF Championship. Cornette says the Japanese are honorable, but also deadly, and Yokozuna will do anything to meet his ends.

Adam Bomb beats Mike Maraldo. During the match, Johnny Polo mockingly pours his mint julep on Maraldo outside of the ring at ringside when Adam Bomb tosses him out of the ring.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage - going by the name "Rappin' Randy" - and Men on a Mission (Mabel, Oscar, Mo) rap about Lex Luger and The Lex Express' Call To Action.

Mr. Hughes vs. Mike Bucci. During the match, "The King" Jerry Lawler leaves the commentary table, saying girls are all over the Elvis Presley impersonator's Cadillac. After the match, Mr. Hughes destroys the nearby funeral wreath, then dares The Undertaker to come and get his urn back.

Boni Blackwell interviews Bret "Hit Man" Hart. Bret says "The King" Jerry Lawler only claims to be a king while he himself has earned all of his accomplishments, including becoming King of the Ring. He also says it is one thing to do a cowardly thing to himself or his brother "The Rocket" Owen Hart, as he and Owen can handle it. However, when someone involves his parents by insulting and humiliating them repeatedly, a line is crossed, and Lawler will have to pay for it at SummerSlam. He promises to Lawler that it will not be pretty or fancy, but when all is said and done, Lawler will respect the Hart family name.

Bam Bam Bigelow beats Bobby Who. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from Tatanka and The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn), who say that they will take care of Bigelow and The Headshirinkers (Samu and Fatu) at SummerSlam. "The King" Jerry Lawler returns to commentary after the match.

On th e SummerSlam report, it is announced that the official SummerSlam program will be available on newsstands this Tuesday. We then hear from Shawn Michaels, who says that he and Mr. Perfect will collide at SummerSlam to see who is the greatest. He says what is perfect comes naturally to the wrestler of the '90s, and he is way out of Mr. Perfect's league. He is going to prove he is The Heartbreak Kid, the wrestler of the '90s and the WWF Intercontinental Champion. We then hear from Jim Cornette and The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Prichard and "Gigolo Jimmy Delrey). Cornette says that in one week, The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) are going to meet their maker at the hands of The Heavenly Bodies, comparing them to American automobiles while calling The Heavenly Bodies "sleek, aerodynamic foreign imports." He tells the Steiners to get ready for the fight of their life, as The Heavenly Bodies can out-wrestle, out-fight and outlast them. Jimmy Delrey says the Steiners may be champs, but after SummerSlam, everyone they know will be calling them chumps. We then hear from "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Razor Ramon. DiBiase says Razor will go marching down the ring with a smirk on his face, but when he leaves, he will leave like a dog with his tail tucked between his legs and he will have nothing left after he crossed him. Razor tells DiBiase he has been hearing him talk for weeks and blaming him for losing to The 1-2-3 Kid. If DiBiase wants him at SummerSlam, he has him, and DiBiase will be hearing one, two, three one more time.

Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo) beat "Iron" Mike Sharpe and Jeff Libolt.

Ray Rougeau re-advertises the show for Nassau Coliseum for Friday night, August 27th. He then interviews "Macho Man" Randy Savage and The Undertaker for Face To Face. The Undertaker says the demons have summoned him once more to rise from the darkness, not for a match, but for a war. He tells Giant Gonzales and Mr. Hughes that vengeance is his, and anyone or anything that gets in front of him that night will be destroyed, as he has one mission: annihilate Mr. Hughes and Giant Gonzales. Savage says he has chills, and that August 27th will be Black Friday. He says Mr. Hughes and Giant Gonzales are in trouble that night.

Come As You Are (WWF Superstar) - Superstars recap for August 14, 1993

Before the show begins, Vince McMahon announces that WWF President Jack Tunney has made an edict stating that if "The King" Jerry Lawler and "Macho Man" Randy Savage lay a hand on each other after what happened last week, one of them - or both of them - will be history.

Razor Ramon beats Duane Gill. During the match, we hear pre-recorded comments from "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, who says that Razor Ramon might be laughing at him now, thinking that he pulled one on him, but at SummerSlam, Razor will be paying the price and there won't be any machismo left.

During Update, we see Lex Luger and The Lex Express go across America in the Call For Action Campaign in Niagara Falls, Detroit, and Chicago. We then see highlights from the contract signing between Lex Luger and Yokozuna for their WWF Championship match at SummerSlam from last week's Monday Night Raw.

Ludvig Borga beats Mike Khoury.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund advertises a show for Nassau Coliseum for Friday night, August 27th. Shawn Michaels defends the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Razor Ramon, "Macho Man" Randy Savage and The Undertaker team up to take on Giant Gonzales and Mr. Hughes, Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo) faces Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster), The 1-2-3 Kid meets Bastion Booger, Tatanka takes on Doink, Mr. Perfect faces Bam Bam Bigelow, and The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) defend the WWF Tag Team Championships against The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu). Okerlund then interviews Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels (accompanied by Diesel). Shawn says that he would have learned his lesson by now, but he is a soft-hearted guy. He was friends with Razor Ramon, but now he is on the other side of the tracks and wants to call the whole match with Razor off. Razor says there is no reason to be so excited as they can still be friends, and says this is just business. On any given night, anybody can go down, including Shawn. Shawn says that is not happening and that he will stay the WWF Intercontinental Champion, as the belt is important to him. Razor says it is important to him, too, as he was so close to being on top of the mountain until Diesel interfered. Diesel says he will do what has to be done so Shawn stays champion, while Shawn says he is the wrestler of the '90s and that that will not change.

The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) beat Glenn Ruth and Mike Bell. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from Jim Cornette, who says that he did not come to WWF to waste his own time. He has brought with him one of the greatest tag teams right now: The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Prichard and "Gigolo" Jimmy Delrey). They expect to see wine, women and Steiners when they come to the WWF. After the match, "The King" Jerry Lawler uses the Magistrator to draw angel wings and halos on The Steiner Brothers, saying The Heavenly Bodies are in The Steiner Brothers' future.

We see the music video for "USA" by "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan from WrestleMania: The Album.

Lex Luger is on the current issue of WWF Magazine, and Shawn Michaels and Up All Night's Rhonda Shear are in the current issue's spread.

Shawn Michaels beats Darren Trujillo. During the match, we hear pre-recorded comments from Mr. Perfect, who says that it will be a great wrestling match between him and Shawn for the WWF Intercontinental Championship, but says Shawn cannot beat perfection. After the match, Diesel punches Trujillo in the gut.

Tatanka beats Fred Williams. During the match, we hear pre-recorded comments from Bam Bam Bigelow and Luna Vachon. Bigelow says he and Luna have beaten up on Tatanka and The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) before, and at SummerSlam, they are going to do it one more time.

On the SummerSlam Report, we hear from Bret "Hit Man" Hart. Bret says that when he won King of the Ring, it was a big accomplishment. All of a sudden, "The King" Jerry Lawler shows up wanting to call himself a king even though he has never earned the title, and says he is a snake. He says it is one thing to attack him from behind, but it is something else to start something with his brother "The Rocket" Owen Hart, and says that when he involves his family in things, that's when Lawler has gone too far. He says Lawler has crossed him and will pay for it at SummerSlam. He says that the future will be his and that history will crown only one king: him. Also, Marty Jannetty vs. Ludvig Borga is now official for SummerSlam, as is The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Prichard and "Gigolo" Jimmy Del Rey) vs. The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) for the WWF Tag Team Championships.

Before the next match, Jim Cornette introduces The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Prichard and "Gigolo" Jimmy Del Rey) to the ring. In return, "Doctor" Tom Prichard calls Jim Cornette "the guiding light of Smoky Mountain Wrestling."

The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Prichard and "Gigolo" Jimmy Del Rey) beat Bert Centeno and Rich Myers. During the match, we hear pre-recorded comments from The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner). Scott says he doesn't care where the Bodies are from, because at SummerSlam, they will suplex their heavenly bodies. Rick says he and Scott will give them the same amount of respect as they give everyone else: none.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund re-advertises the show for Nassau Coliseum for Friday night, August 27th. He then interviews Mr. Hughes (accompanied by Harvey Wippleman) and "Macho Man" Randy Savage for Face To Face. Savage says nobody will want to tag team against him and The Undertaker after their match against Hughes and The Undertaker, because when the smoke clears, he will send them up and The Undertaker will send them down, and they will be done in the World Wrestling Federation from now on. Wippleman tells Savage he is all talk, and that the 27th will be his lucky day when Hughes and Giant Gonzales will make history and destroy a legend in Savage and the walking death in The Undertaker.

Next week: A special interview with Bret "Hit Man" Hart! Adam Bomb! The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre)! Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo)!

Raw Deal - Raw recap for August 9, 1993

The Lex Express rolls to Chicago for the Lex Luger Call to Action.

Tatanka beats Mr. Hughes by count-out. After the match, Mr. Hughes attacks Tatanka with The Undertaker's urn before destroying the black funeral wreathe sent to him earlier in the match.

We see more of what makes Lex Luger tick and how he got his start in professional wrestling.

The Bushwhackers (Butch and Luke) and The Macho Midget beat Blake Beverly, The Brooklyn Brawler and Little Louie.

Vince McMahon, "Macho Man" Randy Save and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan are in the ring with the Board of Directors for the contract signing for Lex Luger vs. Yokozuna for the WWF Championship. As Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji enter the ring, Jim Cornette follows them in. Fuji declares Cornette the official American spokesperson for Yokozuna. Cornette praises Japan, and says that Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji's opportunities have been burdened by their limited knowledge of the English language. He checks over the contract for the match, and both Cornette and Mr. Fuji both approve. Lex Luger shows up in a three-piece suit complete with an American flag tie, and both competitors sit down. Yokozuna signs the contract while staring menacingly at Luger, and Luger also signs the contract. Both men stand up, but Jim Cornette says a clause has been added: if he doesn't beat Yokozuna, there will be no rematch. Lex Luger doesn't sweat this last-minute addition to the contract, saying he only needs one shot to beat Yokozuna and take the title. Yokozuna pushes the table away and stares straight at Lex Luger as he speaks, then flicks his sweat at him before Luger leads a "USA" chant.

Razor Ramon beats Dan Dubiel.

The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Pritchard and "Gigolo" Jimmy Del Rey) beat Mike Bucci and Bobby Who. After the match, Jim Cornette calls out The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner), asking for a response to his challenge.

Next week on Raw: a special interview with Giant Gonzales! Also, Ludvig Borga, Men on a Mission (Mable and Mo), I.R.S. vs "El Matador" Tito Santana, and The 1-2-3 Kid vs. "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase!

Come As You Are (WWF Superstar) - Superstars recap for August 7, 1993

The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) beat Well Dunn (Timothy Well and Steve Dunn).

We see footage from "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase vs. The 1-2-3 Kid from last week's Wrestling Challenge, where The 1-2-3 Kid gets an upset win on DiBiase with a crucifix pin after DiBiase performs a nonchalant pin. It is then announced that two more matches have been added to SummerSlam: Razor vs. DiBiase and The 1-2-3 Kid vs. Irwin R. Schyster. We then hear from DiBiase, who says that he has never been embarassed and humiliated as he was last week, and blames Razor for the loss. He says he has had time to formulate a way to make Razor pay and make the $10,000 The 1-2-3 Kid took from Razor look like nothing compared to what he will do to him.

Adam Bomb beats Chaz Ware.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund advertises the show at Madison Square Garden in New York City for this Friday night. Yokozuna will defend the WWF Championship in a steel cage against Bret "Hit Man" Hart, "Macho Man" Randy Savage will face "The King" Jerry Lawler, and a six-man elimination tag match of Mr. Perfect, Tatanka and Marty Jannetty vs. Shawn Michaels, Diesel and Bam Bam Bigelow is scheduled. Okerlund then interviews Bret and Yokozuna, the latter of whom is accompanied by Mr. Fuji for Face To Face. Bret says the talk is over, and this Friday night he is heading into the ring to face the most dangerous wrestler of all time, and the worst part of it is that it is the most dangerous match of all. He looks forward to it, however, as this is the shot he has been looking for as Mr. Fuji cannot interfere and Yokozuna cannot run or hide. Mr. Fuji says this Friday is Friday the 13th - which is bad luck for Bret - and that Yokozuna will squash Bret until he screams in pain. Yokozuna says Bret and his family wiill say "sayonara."

We see Lex Luger and the Lex Express going across America for the Call To Action Campaign at Worcester, Syracuse, Buffalo, Erie and Cleveland.

Doink beats Joey Maggs.

On the SummerSlam Report, it is announced that Lex Luger and Yokozuna will sign the contract for their match next week on Monday Night Raw. We then hear from Bret "Hit Man" Hart, who says that "The King" Jerry Lawler has underestimated him and that he has not gotten up to speed on what he can do after all he did to him. He says he will never forget what Lawler did to his brother "The Rocket" Owen Hart, and that him embarrassing his family is what really bugged him. He says that is a line he should not have crossed, as he does not involve his family in his personal business. If Lawler wants to do that, that's fine with him, as he plans to execute him at SummerSlam like the kings of old and make sure that is the last anyone ever hears of Lawler. We then hear from Shawn Michaels (accompanied by Diesel) and Mr. Perfect. Shawn says that he has news for Mr. Perfect: what was perfect in the past is not perfect in the '90s, and says he is perfect for the '90s and will be walking out as WWF Intercontinental Champion. Mr. Perfect says Shawn must be thinking he is something, and tells SHawn he will have to get in the ring with him and find out why he is called Mr. Perfect and why he is the greatest athlete WWF has ever produced. Also announced for the very first time for SummerSlam is a six-man tag match between the team of Tatanka and The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) and the team of Bam Bam Bigelow and The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu).

We see a video package for Ludvig Borga.

"El Matador" Tito Santana beats Barry Hardy.

We see a special interview with Lex Luger. As he talks about academics, he says he never had a gung-ho dad when it came to sports, as his dad was on a music scholarship and studying to become a concert pianist when he was in college. He studied art and music in his life and stressed that on his children when they were growing up, but what he stressed must of all was academics. As Lex grew up and he wanted to take part in athletics, his dad made it crystal clear that academics were a top priority and that if he didn't get straight A's in school, he wouldn't be able to participate in athletics. His dad made it a point for him to be well-rounded, and also wanted him to take part in chorus or band. Looking back on it, it made him a more well-rounded individual, which was not a bad thing. He also talks about identity and self-esteem, saying that in his life, he used athletics as a calling card and a form of communication and acceptance, and even to this day, and even to this day, his friends are either surprised or shocked that he is a professional wrestler because he grew up shy and introverted. He remembers a time in high school when he was so shy that he never asked a girl out. He says if you excel in sports and people look at you in a certain way, being shy and introverted and quiet is considered a sign of arrogance by people who do not you. Friends who knew him learned better, but when people want to stereotype by how you look and act, they think that if you are talented at something but are shy, it means you are arrogant or stuck on yourself, which can turn into a vicious cycle. Lex feels he sometimes fight this stereotype to this day.

Bastion Booger beats Mike Bell. After the match, "Macho Man" Randy Savage steals the Magistrator, makes it "The Machostrator," and draws a cape and a crown on Bastion Booger.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund re-advertises the show at Madison Square Garden in New York City for this Friday night. We hear from "Macho Man" Randy Savage and "The King" Jerry Lawler. Savage says Friday is his official "get back in the ring" party at Madison Square Garden in New York City, and that it will be Black Friday for Lawler. Lawler wants to know if Savage is superstitious, and tells Savage to break a bunch of mirrors to ensure he even lives to see seven more years. He says that when he gets his hand on him, he will take him into the stands where his fans are, beat him to an inch of his life and make him see starts without having to wear his star-shaped sunglasses. Savage says he can't help but Lawler, and says he will take him all the way. Lawler stands up, extends his hand, and says "May the best man win." When Savage reaches forward to shake his hand, Lawler slaps him. Savage tells Lawler that he is his at the Garden.

We see what makes Lex Luger tick.

Adam Bomb beats Tony Roy.

Tatanka takes on Mr. Hughes next week on Raw!

"Macho Man" Randy Savage beats Doink with the help of a little Macho Man. After the match, the Macho Midget bites Doink in the butt and tricks Doink into running right into a Macho Man clothesline. Doink is furious.

Next week on Raw, Lex Luger and Yokozuna will sign the contract for their WWF Championship match. Also, Shawn Michaels will be defending the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Mr. Perfect.

Vince McMahon interviews "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase via telephone...almost. When he rolls the footage of his match against The 1-2-3 Kid last week on Wrestling Challenge, he hangs up.

A man with a tennis racket shows up. It's Jim Cornette from Smoky Mountain Wrestling Federation! Bobby "The Brain" Heenan is delighted to see him. He's here to challenge The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiners) in a match against The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Pritchard and "Gigolo" Jimmy Del Ray), one of the best tag teams he has ever assembled which has since ruled the roost at SMWF for the last year-and-a-half.

Jim Cornette guests on commentary for the next match.

Mr. Perfect beats Barry Hardy.

The Lex Luger Call to Action continues in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Next week: The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Pritchard and "Gigolo" Jimmy Del Rey) will call out The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) to see if they answer Jim Cornette's challenge!

Take The Wrestling Challenge - Wrestling Challenge recap for August 1, 1993

Before the next match, "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase talks about how The 1-2-3 Kid got an upset win on Razor Ramon on Raw and stole $10,000 of his money in the Raw rematch a few weeks later. He then says he hopes Razor Ramon is watching, as he plans to show him what a real man - a real Million Dollar Man - can do to The 1-2-3 Kid in short order.

The 1-2-3 Kid gets an upset win on "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase after DiBiase is distracted by Razor Ramon, which leads him to perform a lackadaisical, lazy pinfall on The Kid, which The Kid reverses into a crucifix pin to get the unlikely victory. After the match, referees and officials have to keep DiBiase away from Razor Ramon, who then gets in the ring and tells DiBiase three things: he got beat, he got beat, and he got beat. Razor then leads a "1-2-3" chant, much to the fury of DiBiase.

We see footage of the Lex Express in Washington, DC; New York City, New York; Boston, Massachusetts and Syracuse, New York as part of the Lex Luger Call For Action Campaign. We also see footage of Lex Luger on

Adam Bomb beats Tony Webb.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund talks about the Madison Square Garden supercard in New York City, New York on Friday, August 13th. Mr. Perfect, Marty Jannetty and Tatanka take on Bam Bam Bigelow, Shawn Michaels and Diesel in six-man tag action. Yokozuna defends the WWF Championship against Bret "Hit Man" Hart in a steel cage. The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) will take on The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu), The 1-2-3 Kid will take on Doink, and "Macho Man" Randy Savage takes on "The King" Jerry Lawler in a Challenge Match. Okerlund then interviews Bret "Hit Man" Hart and Yokozuna. Bret says he'd normally be a little reluctant to step in a steel cage, especially with Yokozuna, but he looks forward to it as Yokozuna can't run or hide and Mr. Fuji can't get involved and knows he's taking the WWF Championship back. Mr. Fuji says Bret fell into his and Yokozuna's trap, and once they're in the ring, he is theirs and Bret will be finished. Bret says Mr. Fuji underestimates the Madison Square Garden fans, and says he will take the WWF Championship back.

The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) beat Damien Demento and Barry Horowitz.

Bret "Hit Man" says it really irks him and ticks him off when "The King" Jerry Lawler stoops low enough to drag his family into things. When he gets in the ring, he does his job, but he likes to keep his family separate. When Lawler humiliated his father, his mother and his brother Owen hart, he went too far and dragged it to a higher level. He looks forward to destroying Lawler at SummerSlam, saying that the ring will be like a scaffold where kings are executed.

It is announced that Shawn Michaels will defend the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Mr. Perfect at SummerSlam, as the match has been made recently official.

Bastion Booger quickly beats Scott Vito.

WrestleMania: The Album is now available, and we see a preview of the music video for "SummerSlam Jam."

Tatanka beats "Iron" Mike Sharpe.

It's time for The King's Court with "The King" Jerry Lawler. This week, Lawler's guest is The Undertaker, who Lawler says isn't as scary as he used to be. After The Undertaker shows up, Lawler says something is missing, and says it's his urn, which he calls "a prized possession." Lawler then says "his close personal friend" Mr. Hughes has it, and though he doesn't know what's in it now, he'll shove The Undertaker in it when he gets his hands on him. The Undertaker grabs the microphone, tells Lawler he's a little bit too consumed with his personal belongings, and if he were Lawler, he'd be more concerned with how close he's standing to Death's door. As far as Mr. Hughes goes, he has something that belongs to him, and if he returns the urn now, he'll bring him to his demise very quickly, but if he has to come looking for Mr. Hughes, it will be a slow, agonizing, painful death. He then tells Mr. Hughes to rest in peace.

The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) beat Joey Maggs and Tony DiMauro in their Wrestling Challenge debut.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund talks about the show at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York on Friday, August 27th. Mr. Perfect takes on Bam Bam Bigelow. The 1-2-3 Kid takes on Bastion Booger. Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo) takes on Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster). Tatanka takes on Doink. The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) defend the WWF Tag Team Championships against The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu), and Shawn Michaels defends the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Razor Ramon. "Macho Man" Randy Savage and The Undertaker take on Giant Gonzales and Mr. Hughes in a tag team war. Okerlund interviews Razor Ramon, Shawn Michaels and Diesel. Michaels understands the phrase "When the horse throws you, you jump right back on." Shawn mentions what happened between Razor and The 1-2-3 Kid, and asks if Razor is ready for him. Razor asks Shawn who he's trying to kid - him or himself - and says somebody in the WWF thinks he's ready because he has the title shot. He knows that since he got beaten, people have taken notie. He says he's hitting his stride, and now he's striding for Shawn. Shawn tells Razor that if he thinks being defeated will make him famous in the WWF, then he will make Razor a star, as Razor has no chance. Diesel says he's here to "keep the chicks off the champ," and that Shawn doesn't need his help.

Next week: The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner)! Shawn Michaels and Diesel! Mr. Hughes! The King's Court with The 1-2-3 Kid!

The Lex Express Tour is heading to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Detriot, Michigan; Flint and Saginaw, Michigan; Grand Rapids, Michigan and Chicago, Illinois!
