Yokozuna beats "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan after Mr. Fuji pulls at Duggan's ankle, taking Duggan out of his three-point stance and distracting him so that Yokozuna can hit the Banzai Drop. That fails when more referees shows up and confront Mr. Fuji while getting Duggan out of harm's way.
Backstage, Vince McMahon interviews Yokozuna, Jim Cornette and Mr. Fuji. Cornette states that Yokozuna was never a sleeping giant and always a beast, but now he is a wild, rabid animal who is ready to chew Luger up at SummerSlam. He tells Luger that he wanted this match and the chance to take the WWF Championship, and now he must take the responsibility upon himself and know that the actions of Yokozuna will be on him, for Yokozuna has no conscience, pity, fear or compassion. At SummerSlam, he will roll over in pain and cry for mercy \only to not get any because he brought it on himself. Cornette further states that Luger's career will be finished, the hopes of the American who believed in him will be smashed on the rocks forever, and the heartbeat of America will be silenced as Yokozuna stays WWF Champion.

Lawler says that Bret "Hit Man" Hart is impersonating him, and the Elvis impersonator says that everyone has been impersonating him and that he does not like it either, and asks Lawler how he feels. Lawler says it makes his blood boil to see Hart take the shortcut to success by copying him, for there is only one king in the World Wrestling Federation and it is him. He says that he will break Hart in half and SummerSlam, and that Hart will never impersonate him again.
Bret "Hit Man" Hart says "The King" Jerry Lawler has crossed a line nobody has ever crossed before and has gone too far. He has no problem fighting his own battle, but he takes it personally when his family is brought up, and says that he cannot put into words how much anger and frustration he will take out on Lawler. He then promises that his match with Lawler at SummerSlam will be a mutilation, and that he has told his parents not to come to SummerSlam due to what he will do to Lawler. He then says his parents have told him that they will be there anyway along with the rest of the family to see him destroy Lawler. He tells Lawler he made a big mistake bringing up his family and that he will pay for it big time at SummerSlam, and that no matter who he surrounds himself with, he will always be a bogus, phony king.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews The Undertaker in the ring. On the subject of what a "Rest In Peace Match" is, The Undertaker says that there are many that believe that in one's life, there comes a day where they must be held accountable for their actions. He says that this day of reckoning is at hand for Giant Gonzales at SummerSlam, for he has tried time and time again to destroy that which cannot be destroyed. He states that although he does not have Paul Bearer or the urn, he has the power of the creatures of the night, and he will take Giant Gonzales' flesh, drive his hand deep into his carcass and extract every living organ that he has in the Rest In Peace Match, and before the night is finished and he returns to the depths of the dark side, he will possess his soul. Suddenly, Giant Gonzales and Harvey Wippleman show up, and Gonzales tells The Undertaker that he will not get up and that he will rest in peace. The Undertaker removes his trenchcoat, and Giant Gonzales and Harvey Wippleman walk away.
