Before the show begins, Vince McMahon announces that WWF President Jack Tunney has made an edict stating that if "The King" Jerry Lawler and "Macho Man" Randy Savage lay a hand on each other after what happened last week, one of them - or both of them - will be history.
Razor Ramon beats Duane Gill. During the match, we hear pre-recorded comments from "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, who says that Razor Ramon might be laughing at him now, thinking that he pulled one on him, but at SummerSlam, Razor will be paying the price and there won't be any machismo left.
During Update, we see Lex Luger and The Lex Express go across America in the Call For Action Campaign in Niagara Falls, Detroit, and Chicago. We then see highlights from the contract signing between Lex Luger and Yokozuna for their WWF Championship match at SummerSlam from last week's Monday Night Raw.
Ludvig Borga beats Mike Khoury.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund advertises a show for Nassau Coliseum for Friday night, August 27th. Shawn Michaels defends the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Razor Ramon, "Macho Man" Randy Savage and The Undertaker team up to take on Giant Gonzales and Mr. Hughes, Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo) faces Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster), The 1-2-3 Kid meets Bastion Booger, Tatanka takes on Doink, Mr. Perfect faces Bam Bam Bigelow, and The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) defend the WWF Tag Team Championships against The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu). Okerlund then interviews Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels (accompanied by Diesel). Shawn says that he would have learned his lesson by now, but he is a soft-hearted guy. He was friends with Razor Ramon, but now he is on the other side of the tracks and wants to call the whole match with Razor off. Razor says there is no reason to be so excited as they can still be friends, and says this is just business. On any given night, anybody can go down, including Shawn. Shawn says that is not happening and that he will stay the WWF Intercontinental Champion, as the belt is important to him. Razor says it is important to him, too, as he was so close to being on top of the mountain until Diesel interfered. Diesel says he will do what has to be done so Shawn stays champion, while Shawn says he is the wrestler of the '90s and that that will not change.
The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) beat Glenn Ruth and Mike Bell. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from Jim Cornette, who says that he did not come to WWF to waste his own time. He has brought with him one of the greatest tag teams right now: The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Prichard and "Gigolo" Jimmy Delrey). They expect to see wine, women and Steiners when they come to the WWF. After the match, "The King" Jerry Lawler uses the Magistrator to draw angel wings and halos on The Steiner Brothers, saying The Heavenly Bodies are in The Steiner Brothers' future.
We see the music video for "USA" by "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan from WrestleMania: The Album.
Lex Luger is on the current issue of WWF Magazine, and Shawn Michaels and Up All Night's Rhonda Shear are in the current issue's spread.
Shawn Michaels beats Darren Trujillo. During the match, we hear pre-recorded comments from Mr. Perfect, who says that it will be a great wrestling match between him and Shawn for the WWF Intercontinental Championship, but says Shawn cannot beat perfection. After the match, Diesel punches Trujillo in the gut.
Tatanka beats Fred Williams. During the match, we hear pre-recorded comments from Bam Bam Bigelow and Luna Vachon. Bigelow says he and Luna have beaten up on Tatanka and The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) before, and at SummerSlam, they are going to do it one more time.
On the SummerSlam Report, we hear from Bret "Hit Man" Hart. Bret says that when he won King of the Ring, it was a big accomplishment. All of a sudden, "The King" Jerry Lawler shows up wanting to call himself a king even though he has never earned the title, and says he is a snake. He says it is one thing to attack him from behind, but it is something else to start something with his brother "The Rocket" Owen Hart, and says that when he involves his family in things, that's when Lawler has gone too far. He says Lawler has crossed him and will pay for it at SummerSlam. He says that the future will be his and that history will crown only one king: him. Also, Marty Jannetty vs. Ludvig Borga is now official for SummerSlam, as is The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Prichard and "Gigolo" Jimmy Del Rey) vs. The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) for the WWF Tag Team Championships.
Before the next match, Jim Cornette introduces The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Prichard and "Gigolo" Jimmy Del Rey) to the ring. In return, "Doctor" Tom Prichard calls Jim Cornette "the guiding light of Smoky Mountain Wrestling."
The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Prichard and "Gigolo" Jimmy Del Rey) beat Bert Centeno and Rich Myers. During the match, we hear pre-recorded comments from The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner). Scott says he doesn't care where the Bodies are from, because at SummerSlam, they will suplex their heavenly bodies. Rick says he and Scott will give them the same amount of respect as they give everyone else: none.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund re-advertises the show for Nassau Coliseum for Friday night, August 27th. He then interviews Mr. Hughes (accompanied by Harvey Wippleman) and "Macho Man" Randy Savage for Face To Face. Savage says nobody will want to tag team against him and The Undertaker after their match against Hughes and The Undertaker, because when the smoke clears, he will send them up and The Undertaker will send them down, and they will be done in the World Wrestling Federation from now on. Wippleman tells Savage he is all talk, and that the 27th will be his lucky day when Hughes and Giant Gonzales will make history and destroy a legend in Savage and the walking death in The Undertaker.
Next week: A special interview with Bret "Hit Man" Hart! Adam Bomb! The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre)! Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo)!
The Lex Express is coming to Denver, Colorado; Sacramento and Stockton, California; San Francisco, California; and Anaheim, California!
