The large man that helped him win it as his "insurance policy" accompanies him, and Shawn Michaels calls him his bodyguard. It is announced on commentary that Marty Jannetty lost the title last night in Albany, New York, and that Shawn Michaels won it with the help of his "insurance policy."

Shawn Michaels vs. Crush is now for the WWF Intercontinental Championship...but Michaels doesn't know this until "Mene Gene" mentions this. Michaels is ticked that he has to defend the title so soon, and won't allow him himself to be pushed into a corner so easily by anyone in the WWF.

"The King" Jerry Lawler comes out to verbally crap on the New York City crowd and announce that Yokozuna is his guest. After the break, Yokozuna comes out alongside Mr. Fuji. Fuji says that Yokozuna has eaten 15 to 20 meals a day, consisting of 30 pounds of rice and 100 pounds of meat, chicken and fish to grow to 550 pounds. Fuji wants to see Hulk Hogan suffer at King of the Ring, as does Yokozuna.
Irwin R. Schyster and Fatu beat Billy Gunn and Rick Steiner.

Vince McMahon interviews Razor Ramon at ringside. He plans to face The 1-2-3 Kid for $7,500. As for the King of the Ring tournament, he plans to make Bret "The Hit Man" Hart another grease spot on the mat.
