Mr. Perfect beats Mr. Hughes (now managed by Harvey Whippleman) by disqualification to continue to the semi-finals of the King of the Ring Tournament, after Mr. Hughes hits Mr. Perfect with Paul Bearer's urn. Mr. Perfect faces Bret "The Hit Man" Hart in the next round.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed Mr. Fuji and Yokozuna prior to the event. Fuji insists Hulk Hogan cheated at Wrestlemania 9, and that Yokozuna is bigger, stronger and wiser.
Bam Bam Bigelow takes advantage of "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan's injured ribs to beat "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan and continue to the semi-finals of the King of the Ring Tournament.
In a Coliseum Video exclusive, Terry Taylor interviews The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) and The Smoking Guns (Billy and Bart Gunn). The Frankensteiner as well as The Smoking Gunns' new finisher, the Revolver, will be the key to winning against Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster) and The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu).
As Lex Luger is posing in front of his mirror in the ring, the officials order him to wear an elbow pad to cover the plate in his forearm. He is forced to put it on when it is announced that if Luger does not wear it, he will be eliminated from the tournament immediately. When Tatanka makes his entrance, he rushes in and pushes the mirror into Luger when he tries to get some shots in before the match begins.
Lex Luger and Tatanka fight to a 15-minute time limit draw, with neither man continuing to the semi-finals. Bam Bam Bigelow gets a bye to the finals. An angry Luger wants five more minutes, and when Tatanka is ready to rumble, Luger removes the elbow pad and hits Tatanka with the running forearm, knocking him unconscious.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Bret "The Hit Man" Hart and Mr. Perfect, who immediately come to blows over Hart's comments about his mutual respect for Perfect are blown out of proportion. Both men's parents are mentioned in a "my dad can beat your dad" argument, and Perfect says that there won't be a repeat performance of SummerSlam 1991.
Bret "The Hit Man" Hart beats Mr. Perfect with an inside cradle to continue to the finals of the King of the Ring Tournament and face Bam Bam Bigelow to decide the King of the Ring. Perfect shakes hands with Hart after the match.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Jimmy Hart and Hulk Hogan. Hogan says he plans on staying a five-time WWF Champion.
Yokozuna enters the ring with a bevy of photographers who have followed his every move for the last few days.
Yokozuna beats Hulk Hogan after one of Yokozuna's photographers shoots a fireball into Hulk Hogan's face through a camera to win the WWF Championship! After the match, Yokozuna hits the Banzai Drop on a blinded Hogan.
Terry Taylor interviews Mr. Perfect in a Coliseum Video exclusive. Mr. Perfect hands it to Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, but he's not in the mood to talk and he'll soon show what perfect is all about.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Shawn Michaels, who is with his bodyguard. Michaels calls Hogan a "dinosaur" and says he's not the same calibur of champion as he is. We finally learn some stuff about his bodyguard: his bodyguard's name is Diesel, as in diesel fuel that makes a Mack truck go, and he protects Michaels every inch of the way.
The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) and The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) beat Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster) and The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu) in eight-man tag team action after a cocky DiBiase is pinned with an inside cradle by Billy Gunn. Both factions brawl after the match, but the good guys run the bad out of the ring.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji along with WWF President Jack Tunney. Tunney congratulates Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji, and the latter states that America is dying along with Hulkamania, and that they will celebrate in America instead of Japan.
Shawn Michaels retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Crush after Crush is distracted by the two Doinks. Before the match, it is reported that Hulk Hogan has not suffered any permanent damage from the fireball at the end of his match against Yokozuna.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Bam Bam Bigelow. He is ready to get the job done and become King of the Ring.
Bam Bam Bigelow beats Bret "The Hit Man" Hart...almost. Earl Hebner shows up and tells the referee for the match about the chair shot from Luna Vachon to Bret Hart from outside the ring and behind the referee's back. The match is restarted, and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart beats Bam Bam Bigelow to be crowned the 1993 King of the Ring. During the coronation, "The King" Jerry Lawler confronts Bret Hart to proclaim he is the only king of the WWE, and will allow him to be a prince if he kisses his foot. Bret Hart calls him a "Burger King" and leads a "Burger King" chant until Lawler sucker punches Hart, hits him with the scepter, destroys the crown and throws the throne on him before choking him out with the scepter, tossing the robe away and destroying the coronation set. The show ends with Lawler continung to attack a downed Bret Hart.
