Ultima Lucha Dos - Week 1 Results

Before the first match, Dario Cueto shows up and says The Mack and Cage started off the first Ultima Lucha off with a bang with their Falls Count Anywhere, and admits that it was his favorite match of the first night. To ensure that this match is just as good and just as violent, he makes this match Falls Count Anywhere just like last year.

The Mack beats Cage in a Falls Count Anywhere match (that is a semi-final match for a unique opportunity from Dario Cueto) after Cage slips on beer spilled by The Mack and misses the curb stomp onto the cinderblock, allowing The Mack to reverse Cage's mistake into a pinfall.

There is a bar near the ring for the next match between Texano and Son of Havoc. Since there is a cowboy (Texano) and a biker (Son of Havoc) in the ring, and it makes Dario Cueto think of a bar fight, Dario Cueto makes this match a Boyle Heights Bar Fight.

Son of Havoc beats Texano in a Boyle Heights Bar Fight (that is a semi-final match for a unique opportunity from Dario Cueto) after sending Texano into wine bottle shards.

Before the next match, Dario Cueto says he is impressed with The Mack and Son of Havoc, and says his unique opportunity is so great he wants both of them to work for it. Therefore, this match is also Falls Count Anywhere.

Son of Havoc beats The Mack in a Falls Count Anywhere match (that is the finals for a unique opportunity from Dario Cueto). Dario Cueto then comes out of his office with two briefcases.

Dario Cueto gives Son of Havoc a choice between two briefcases. One contains more money than he'll ever see in his career...$250,000 to be exact. However, there is a twist: he can also pick the other briefcase, which puts him in the main event for the Lucha Underground Championship at Ultima Lucha Tres. Son of Havoc takes the contract without hesitation. Dario then tells him that he has to win one more match to get the match, and that he will offer the money to the person he has to face to get that match. Dario then takes both suitcases and walks off. Famous B shows up, and tells us he's got a brand new client. Unlike Mascarita Sagrada, this new client is already famous. He asks if Son of Havoc is sick to his stomach, then tells him there's a doctor in the house. Son of Havoc's opponent is none other than Dr. Wagner, Jr.

Dr. Wagner, Jr. beats Son of Havoc by dodging Son of Havoc's Shooting Star Press and hitting the Doctor Driver. As a result, Son of Havoc is not in the main event title match at Ultima Lucha Tres and Dr. Wagner, Jr. wins $250,000.

Here are the highlights from tonight's show!

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for July 5, 2016

Reby Sky and Matt Hardy celebrate baby Maxel's first birthday, and Matt Hardy says he will bring honor back to the family name on this day by deleting Jeff Hardy.

Maria Kanellis and "The Miracle" Mike Bennett show up. Bennett declares himself the greatest X Division Champion ever, and says he wants to cash in Option C tonight. He then asks whoever he has to hand the title to to cash it in to come to the ring. He gets Dixie Carter, who isn't exactly in the mood to give him a World title shot. She tells him that he has disrespeted the X Division title and every man who has held it before him. Option C will be in effect later tonight, but he has to retain the title one more time...against the entire X Division roster in an Ultimate X match that happens right now. Bennett is livid.

Eddie Edwards dashes "The Miracle" Mike Bennett's World title dreams by fighting him off on the ropes as Bennett stands on a ladder to become the X Division Champion!

Drew Galloway confronted Ethan Carter III last week after the main event, and the two of them come to blows. Both men have to be separated by Grado, Mahabli Shera and The Tribunal (Judge Baron Dax and Basile Baraka).

"The Cowboy" James Storm beats Eli Drake by disqualification after Eli Drake uses the King of the Mountain title as a weapon. Eli Drake retains the TNA King of the Mountain Championship.

We see Jeff Hardy at home. Unfortunately, Matt Hardy sends drones to send a massage to Jeff, saying that this all ends tonight. Matt Hardy then destroys Jeff's lawn.

"The Miracle" Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis are in the ring again. Bennett calls himself the hero TNA needs to survive, and Maria tells Dixie to get in the ring right now. They get Billy Corgan. Maria says she is the one who deserves to be heard and to be president of TNA, and tells Dixie "it's either her or me." Dixie Carter shows up, and asks Dixie who it's going to be. Dixie Carter tells Maria that she is tired of her and Bennett of manipulating her and Billy Corgan. Bennett demands he be in the main event of Destination X or else he will walk. Maria asks repeatedly whether it's her or Dixie, and Billy Corgan has had enough and tells them to stop as they are acting like two spoiled, entitled children. He tells Bennett he blew it tonight, and says Dixie Carter has been more than fair. He tells them that if they want to quit, he points to the door and tells them he'll hold it for them. Bennett says they won't quit, but that he will ruin Destination X.

The battlefield for Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy is prepared.

Lashley saw tonight's Ultimate X, and tells Eddie Edwards to keep his title and continue his reign as X Division Champion as he's "not ready for this."

Before the next match, Jessie Godderz tells Robbie E what his secret and his play from Big Brother's playbook is: the camera footage of Rosemary kissing Bram.

The Bro Mans (Robbie, Jessie Godderz, Raquel) beat Decay (Rosemary, Crazzy Steve, Abyss).

Eddie Edwards is in the ring with Jeremy Borash. Lashley shows up before Eddie Edwards makes his choice on whether or not to cash in the X Division Championship. He says Eddie Edwards is a great tag team and X Division wrestler, but tells him not to cash in. Eddie reminds Lashley he's broken bones before and came to matches the next night and still won. Lashley tells him to either take the title and go home, or do a title versus title match where the winner gets both the World and X Division championships...and if Lashley wins, he says he will rip the heart out of the X Division. Eddie Edwards says he loves the X Division too much to give up, and he goes for the title versus title match. Lashley then attacks Eddie, but Eddie gets the last word and stands tall with both the X Division and World titles.

We hear from both Ethan Carter III and Drew Galloway, who are now both suspended. They both make it clear they want the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, and they both agree on a match against each other next week.

Matt Hardy beast Jeff Hardy in Cameron, North Carolina in what is called "The Final Deletion."

Enzo Amore and Big Cass beat The Social Outcasts (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel).

Charlotte and Dana Brooke are in the ring. Charlotte says jealousy is the strongest human emotion, and says everyone is jealous because she's become the best in everything she does and the proof is around her waist. She says Sasha Banks is jealous and that all she can aspire to is her fans, and that chants don't pay bills. She says that Sasha Banks is all hype. Sasha Banks then shows up, and tells Charlotte she may be champion, but she'll never be her and that she still hasn't beaten her this year yet. She says she will dominate when she ges in the ring with her, but Charlotte says she's delusional. Charlotte says the one-year anniversary of their debuts is coming up, and that she's been champ nearly the entire time. After Sasha tells Charlotte what a Boss really is, Dana goes for a cheap shot but it quickly taken care of. Vickie Guerrero makes a surprise appearance and wants to become the General Manager for SmackDown, saying that Kane, John Laurinaitis and Teddy Long aren't fit for the role. Security forces her off the top of the entrance ramp, however.

Dolph Ziggler lies to security, saying he's never met Vickie Guerrero in his life.

AJ Styles says Cena is upset because things aren't going his way, and says that they not only run Tokyo, but soon the WWE...but they have to get rid of him first. He says The Club is his insurance policy, and that they're not going anywhere. Styles says nobody will help Cena, because Cena has put himself on an island that nobody can relate to. He then says that The Club will beat up John Cena every time he comes out here, because they're the only ones with the balls to do it. They then make fun of beating up John Cena, then head down to the ring to do it. As they beat up John Cena, Enzo Amore and Big Cass fight off The Club, and the odds are evened. Cena, Enzo and Big Cass clean house.
