Raw Deal - Raw recap for March 9, 2020

Becky Lynch shows up to start tonight's show. She says the time for joking around is over, and that she knows that "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler is her opponent at WrestleMania following what happened last night. After footage of Shayna saying that Becky has faced nobody like her, boasting that she tore through all the other competitors in last night's Elimination Chamber match and telling Becky that she will take the Raw Women's title from her and that there is nothing she can do it, Becky gives credit where credit is due when it comes to Shayna cutting through five other women, including Asuka. She then calls Baszler "a world class scumbag" and "a black hole of charisma" before saying she is "the bitch that runs this division," then says she used to see her as "the constipated robot from NXT" who refused to shake her hand last year, but now knows she is her biggest threat yet. She says that Baszler has been waiting in the shadows for over a year to rewrite history, as people like her don't beat trained killers like Baszler, except she does and she will do it again. After stating that their match will be "heart vs. skill," Becky says that Baszler has been underestimating her and that she will smash her face in for it.

It is announced that a camera is trained at the entrance to the parking garage for the arrival of Edge.

Rey Mysterio beats Angel Garza.

In footage from earlier today, Kevin Owens is confronted backstage by Murphy, AOP and Seth Rollins, the last of whom is eating popcorn as he greets Owens. Owens says he's good after Rollins offers him some popcorn, then throws his bag at Rezar before everyone gangs up on him. Referees and officials have to stop the brawl and check on Owens.

Charlotte Flair shows up. She calls Rhea Ripley "the next big thing" and "the shiny new toy," then says that while Rhea Ripley has stated that she must beat the best to be the best, she wants to be herself and nothing like Charlotte. Charlotte says she will never be anything like her. After telling Rhea Ripley to enjoy the hype surrounding her and being "the next big thing" because it will not last, she says that she will teach her a lesson, saying it is one thing to talk about hopes and dreams and another to be humbled by her at WrestleMania. Suddenly, Rhea Ripley shows up, and Charlotte cuts her off, saying this is Raw and not NXT, and that this is her kingdom before telling her to get out of the ring. Ripley responds by hitting Charlotte in the face and leaving.

Bobby Lashley beats Zack Ryder.

We get a closer look at Aleister Black, courtesy of Progressive.

We hear from Aleister Black, who suddenly hears a knock on his door. Aleister stands up, and is met by Seth Rollins and Murphy. Rollins tells Aleister that Murphy has told him a lot about him, and says that he is a bit of an expert in "the numbers game." He asks Aleister to join his movement, and Murphy hands him Rollins' newest shirt. Aleister hands the shirt back to Murphy and refuses. Rollins tells Aleister he is either with him or against him, but Aleister says those sound like fighting words, and that he knocked on the right door. He tells Rollins that he accepts his challenge, then Rollins and Murphy leave.

Drew McIntyre beats Erick Rowan after smashing Rowan's cage - and the giant tarantula inside it - with some steel steps.

Aleister Black vs. Seth Rollins is official for later tonight.

Before the next match, The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) laugh before Kairi Sane asks Asuka about her wrist. Asuka says it is okay, then Kairi tells everyone to look at her wrist in Japanese before Asuka says she wants to beat Alexa Bliss. As they call Alexa Bliss a "mean girl," Natalya and Liv Morgan show up for the next match.

The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) beat Liv Morgan and Natalya. During the match, Ruby Riott shows up to get a closer look at the match, and she is later joined by Sarah Logan. Sarah and Ruby eventually go at it, and Liv Morgan hits Sarah and Ruby with a top rope cross body to the outside. Despite her best efforts to win the match on her own, Natalya is beaten after a buzzsaw kick to the back of her neck by Asuka as she has Kairi Sane in the Sharpshooter.

The O.C. ("The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson) show up. Styles says that The Undertaker has stuck his nose in his business and taken moments from him twice, first taking the Tuwaiq Gauntlet Trophy from him and then costing him the no-disqualification match against Aleister Black last night. He says that he saw The Undertaker get beaten by Roman Reigns three years ago before laying his coat, hat and gloves in the middle of the ring, and says that this moment was beautiful and powerful until he ruined it by returning to WWE. He says that this will cost The Undertaker, as he wants him at WrestleMania. Styles admits he may have been hesitant ten to fifteen years ago, and says he sees "a broken-down old man named Mark Calloway" instead of a mythical monster. Styles states that The Undertaker should have retired ten years ago in his prime, and says that his wife Michelle McCool is the only reason he keeps coming back and that she plays him like a fiddle, as whatever she wants, she gets. He goes on to say that they have a wonderful family and that Michelle is the most conniving person he has ever met in his life, then advises The Undertaker that Michelle will run him into the ground and that he is going to help her. Styles tells The Undertaker that he will make sure he dies in the ring at WrestleMania at first, then says he will take his soul and do exactly what Michelle wants him to do. He then lays down the challenge to The Undertaker of a one-on-one match at WrestleMania. He asks The Undertaker what he has left to lose, as he has lost his pride, dignity and mystique and he is a broken-down old man, and that the fans do not give a damn about him. He tells The Undertaker to accept his challenge so he can put the nail in his coffin.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Randy Orton. When asked for his thought, Orton says nothing, and Charly just walks away.

Riddick Moss retains the WWE 24/7 Championship against Cedric Alexander.

MVP is in the ring. He makes fun of Washington, DC for not being an American state and saying that he would rather be somewhere else before saying he is transitioning from manager to "absolute brainiac" who wants to lead others to championship gold. He says he wants to build his stable on an absolute foundation, and on a man like Edge, whom he says has what it takes but lacks focus. MVP says he can lead Edge to prominence and to championship gold again, and that he just needs to focus. As he says that he is waiting for Edge like everyone else and that Edge is not here for the fans, Edge is seen pulling up in the parking lot and quickly making his way to the ring as MVP says he has a proposition for him. Edge makes his way down the ramp, enters the ring, takes the microphone and tells Randy Orton to "grow a set" and come down to the ring. MVP tells Edge his "mental is off" and that he is focusing on the wrong thing. MVP then asks Edge how his wife is, and he gets Speared by Edge before Orton gets in the ring to attack Edge. It is not long before Edge gets the better of Orton and hits him with an RKO. Edge then grabs a steel chair from ringside, then grabs another one. Randy Orton slides out of the ring, then MVP confronts Edge again. Edge puts MVP in a Cobra Clutch before hitting MVP with an RKO on a chair as Orton watches from the stage. Edge makes sure that Orton is continuing to watch as he grabs the other chair after laying MVP's head down on the first one, and proceeds to smack the chair into the back of MVP's neck with a Con-Chair-To. Edge then stares Orton down from the ring before hitting MVP with another Con-Chair-To. Orton makes his way to the back, and Edge runs out of the ring to chase after him.

Owens shows up, and says he smells something before asking Rollins if he had anything to do with AOP (Akam and Rezar) attacking them. Rollins says no, but Owens says Rollins is lying and that he smells bullshit. Suddenly, AOP shows up. Akam and Rezar speak their native languages, then proposes they have a tag team match against Rollins and Owens tonight. Rollins tells Owens that if he's in, then so is he. Owens says there are three possible outcomes with all three of them beating him up, and he might as well get it over with. Rollins then backs out, saying he tried to explain himself to Owens, and leaves the ring. Akam and Rezar then allow Seth to head to the back, then Owen calls AOP out. AOP head to the back instead. Owens then says he's all taped out, and issues an open invitation to anybody who wants to face him.

McIntyre then calls out Randy Orton, saying he has a problem with him before calling him out to the ring so they can talk about it.

McIntyre sums up what happened in three words - "stupid, stupid, stupid" - before calling Orton out again. Randy Orton shows up. McIntyre asks if his second chop was loud enough to silence the voices in his head. Orton laughs at the question and is about to leave when McIntyre yells at Orton not to turn his back on him. McIntyre tells Orton he walks around like he owns the place and shows nothing but disrespect, and says his accomplishments give him no rights to speak to him like a child. He then says the Orton of present is most ferocious at posting on social media. McIntyre then says that he is the most ferocious Superstar today, and that he is the future. After McIntyre tells Orton to deal with it, Orton says he does what he wants because he has earned the right to do so. The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) retain the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships against Becky Lynch and Charlotte. (Before the match, it is announced that Natalya could not make the show due to family obligations, and that Becky Lynch will replace her in the match.) During the match, "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler shows up from out of the crowd, and when she gets on the apron, this distracts Becky, which allows Asuka to retain the titles with a schoolkid pin from behind. After the match, Bayley attacks Becky from behind as Baszler leaves through the crowd.

Backstage, Randy Orton and Ricochet are having an argument while The O.C. ("The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson) is arguing with Humberto Carrillo. Orton says Ricochet and Humberto won't have to look for, as it will be the three of them against The O.C. tonight.

He issues an open challenge and states that he wants to face the United Kingdom's best. Imperium (Walter, Fabian Aichner, Marcel Barthel, Alexander Wolfe) shows up to answer the challenge, and Walter tells Rollins that if he wants the best, they are here. Walter introduces himself and Imperium, and states that the mat is sacred to them. WWE honors Veterans Day.

Lana shows up. She says she is out here to confess her sins, and says that Bobby Lashley did not want her to come out and talk about them. She admits she has flaws, but telling the truth is not one of them and she would be hated for what she is than what loved for what she is not. Lana admits that she cheated on Rusev, even though Rusev cheated on her first, then mentions she had sex with Bobby Lashley for the first time seven weeks ago. She admits that the sex was beautiful, then mentions what happened to her last week when she fell on the ground when Ricochet sent Lashley into her. She says she went to the doctor and found out she is fine...and nine weeks pregnant. Even though she had sex with Lashley seven weeks ago, she then concludes that Rusev was the one to impregnate her, then gets angry at Rusev for putting a baby in her. Rusev then shows up. Raw Deal - Raw recap for November 4, 2019

The show begins with Triple H coming out of a black Cadillac. He opens talks to someone in the black Cadillac behind his, then heads into the arena.

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman show up to start tonight's show. Heyman announced that Lesnar has had enough of SmackDown and has quit the brand, and has come to Raw to hunt down Rey Mysterio. He states that Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross were traded to Raw for two draft pick considerations, and since Lesnar has a no-cut contract and WWE has an investment in him, Lesnar is able to switch brands due to leverage and entitlement to do what he wants to do. He then says that this means that Lesnar is better than each and every fan watching in the arena and at home as well as anyone who thinks they are tough enough to face Lesnar. Heyman states that somebody in the back knows where Rey is, and asks if anybody wants to see Lesnar smack everyone in the audience to get where that info is. He then says nobody is tough enough to face Lesnar, and states that somebody will rat Rey out so that Lesnar can decimate him, or else Lesnar will tear the arena apart just to find him, as tonight is the funeral of Rey Mysterio's career. As Lesnar and Heyman head backstage, Lesnar attacks a backstage worker and starts attacking people while hunting for Rey.

Backstage, Brock Lesnar yells at another backstage worker, who tells him that he has seen him enter a nearby car. Lesnar goes up to the car and rips the back door open, but Rey is not inside.

Charlotte Flair and Natalya beat The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) with a Sharpshooter to Asuka. After the match, Paul Heyman asks the commentary team where Rey Mysterio is, and demands to know where Rey is from Jerry "The King" Lawler or else he will unleash Lesnar on him and "nobody will be there to resuscitate him when he dies on the air again." Dio Maddux confronts Lesnar only to be put through the table with an F5, then Rey Mysterio runs onto the stage and smacks Lesnar with a baseball bat before hitting him with the WWE Championship. Referees and officials have to keep Rey away from Lesnar.

In footage from during the commercial break, Brock Lesnar is seen limping his way and even crawling up the ramp to the back.

We hear from Rey Mysterio, who says that Brock Lesnar tried to take everything from him by attacking his family and that he is now coming after what is important to Lesnar: the WWE Championship. He asks if Lesnar is man enough to come after him at Survivor Series like he came after Lesnar tonight.

Buddy Murphy beats Cedric Alexander.

Seth Rollins shows up. Rollins says it has been a rough couple of months, much less a rough couple of weeks, as what concerns him is that "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt took the Universal Championship to SmackDown while Lesnar has come to Raw with the WWE Championship and everything he has worked for to give newer guys an opportunity to step up are all gone and he is starting from scratch all over again. While rebuilding and reclaiming is his thing, he does not know if he has the energy for it this time, and for the first time in a long time, he has no idea what is next for him. Suddenly, Triple H shows up. Triple H mentions that their paths always cross when Rollins does not know what to do next, then says that one must retrace their path to see their future. He then says that maybe his future is his past due to his accomplishments in NXT. He says that when he came to Triple H to think of what to do next, The Shield and his singles run came out of it. Rollins asks if it was for his benefit or Triple H's, but Triple H says that it does not matter as Rollins walked away a champion. Triple H says that he knows what's next, then goes over NXT's takeover of SmackDown last week and proved that NXT is here, real and on fire. He then says he did not come along after asking what NXT will do next, and wants to know what Rollins will do next. He says that whatever Rollins does next affects what he does next, and states that they have something to prove at Survivor Series. He also says he knows how to make Rollins great, and says that Rollins is either with him in this moment or against him. As he says this, The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong) come out of the crowd and stand on the apron. Suddenly, The O.C. ("The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson) show up. The Undisputed Era back down and jump over the barricade when The O.C. chase after them. All of a sudden, Dominik Dijakovic, Damian Priest and other NXT Superstars strike, and they are chased out by the Raw locker room.

Backstage, Seth Rollins tells Triple H that he has lit a fire under him, and if he wants him in NXT, he is coming in as a top guy. He demands a match with Adam Cole for the NXT Championship tonight and gets it.

Before the next match, Zelina Vega says that the fans have the opportunity to see here humiliate and embarrass Catalina while Sin Cara is exposed as man without a prayer of beating Andrade.

Andrade and Zelina Vega beat Sin Cara and Catalina.

Rusev is in the ring. He says everyone will agree with him that tonight is the night to end all the drama, but he is not here to bicker with Lana; he is here to tell Lashley that if he wants Lana, she's all his, but his ass is his. Bobby Lashley shows up on crutches along with Lana, and Lashley says that as much as he would love to beat Rusev up all over the arena, he is not medically cleared after tearing his groin having sex with Lana. Lana says that Rusev isn't interested about hearing about their life of love and sex, then says that Rusev is lucky as somebody has volunteered to fight him and kick his ass: Drew McIntyre.

Rusev beats Drew McIntyre by disqualification after Bobby Lashley attacks Rusev with one of his crutches, revealing he is not hurt. After the match, Rusev gets his hands on Lashley, but when he goes to attack Lashley with his crush, he is hits with an RKO out of nowhere by Randy Orton. Ricochet shows up and sends Lashley out of the ring before overpowering Randy Orton and drop kicking Lashley into Lana.

Charly Caruso has a sit-down interview with Becky Lynch. Becky looks forward to her match with Bayley and "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler, as she is now the target of retribution after what she has done to Sasha Banks and Ronda Rousey. Suddenly, Shayna Baszler shows up and decides to replace Charly Caruso, and says she has waited a long time to meet Becky. She tells an unfazed Becky that she is not Ronda Rousey and that she will pin her or tap her out at Survivor Series. After Shayna says that Becky will be wondering which limb will belong to her, Becky admits she does not know Shayna, but she is glad they had this talk, and she will come directly for her. Both women then have an intense staredown.

Before the next match, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles says that Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson are the best tag team in the world and that they have the trophy to prove it, and that The O.C. (Styles, Gallows, Anderson) does not give a damn about NXT and that they will make sure they never step foot out of Orlando, Florida. Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) and Humberto Carrillo then show up, and Montez Ford mocks Shane McMahon's ring announcement before Angelo Dawkins says they beat them before, and Humberto Carrillo rubs it in their face. Styles tells Humberto to shut his mouth before he shuts it for him. Carrillo repeats that Street Profits beat them two weeks ago - once in Spanish - then the three of them say that they want the smoke.

The O.C. ("The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson) beat Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) and Humberto Carrillo after Styles puts his feet on the ropes for leverage after a matchbook cover following a powerbomb.

We see a video package for Adam Cole.

The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) beat The East Hampton Polo Boys (who are portrayed by Bobby Wayward and Nikos Rikos, best known for their work in WrestlePro). After the match, Erik says The Viking Raiders stand as men bold enough to admit they suffered defeat at Crown Jewel. They congratulate The O.C. (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) on becoming the best tag team in the world, and tells them to enjoy their trophy. Ivar says that victory is nothing more than survival, and while The O.C. may thank the gods and have won one battle, nothing can stop the raid.

Seth Rollins beats Adam Cole by disqualification after the rest of The Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong). After the match, members of the Raw and NXT locker rooms both rush in and fight each other to close out the show.
