Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for December 20, 1998

X-Pac beats Tiger Ali Singh.

Backstage, WWF Commissioner "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels is seen talking with The Rock, "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and The Big Boss Man.

Scott "Too Hot" Taylor guests on commentary for the next match.

Kevin Quinn and "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher beat The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy).

Backstage, Mankind is more than game for tonight's Fatal 4-Way, since it is essentially a three-on-one handicap match for him and he has been beaten up before.

Al Snow beats Darren "Puke" Drozdov. Road Warrior Animal heads to the back during the match, then Road Warrior Hawk - who has not been seen in weeks - shows up with a cast on his left arm. Hawk gets on the apron, then punches Droz in the face as referee Earl Hebner is distracted with taking Al Snow away from him. After the match, Hawk says that tomorrow is the beginning of the end for him, as he will announce "their deep, dark secret."

The Oddities (Luna Vachon, Kurrgan, Golga, Giant Silva) show up with a big gift box before the next match.

The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) vs. The Oddities (Kurrgan and Golga) ends with George "The Animal" Steele coming out of the big gift box and attacking The Headbangers. After the match, The Animal tears open a turnbuckle and eats the foam.

D-Generation X (Triple H, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) shows up. Billy Gunn says he does not see how "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock can feel comfortable holding the tag team titles when they needed help to do it. He says that WWF Commissioner "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels can only hide behind his Commissioner title before he "jerks a knot in [his] ass." Road Dogg says that while Billy Gunn jerks a knot in it, he will stick his foot in it, and as for Shamrock and Boss, they stole their titles, and now it is time to "whip [their] tough ass." Triple H asks The Rock how many times he has to beat his ass, as the WWF Championship belongs to him, and he tells Shawn that they go a long way, but it is over and done and if he does not get out of his way, he will take him out of it. As for Test, Triple H says tests are like rules, and D-Generation X breaks them. Suddenly, The Rock shows up with Test, and says if DX want to act like big shots, then here he is. He says Billy Gunn has a "bad sounding name" and that Billy Gunn is so jealous he can taste it. He says that Road Dogg is one of the biggest pieces of trailer park trash walking, then brags about putting X-Pac in a coma with The Corporate Elbow a month ago (even though it was Shawn hitting X-Pac in the head with a steel chair). He then makes fun of Chyna for dating "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry, then says he and Triple H have gone toe-to-toe and that Triple H is a prime example of a guy who "looksl like Tarzan and wrestles like Jane." Triple H tells The Rock "Jane kicked [his] ass last week," then The Rock says that The Corporation does not walk alone and that DX will have to get through Test to get to anyone else.Triple H says they will beat Test any time they want, then tells The Rock to put his shoulder down so he doesn't have one big arm, that Billy Gunn is more jacked than The Rock, and that the taste in The Rock's mouth is "deez nuts." Triple H then tells The Rock that when he gets in the ring with DX, he will get his ass handed to him each and every time.

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) beat The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) after Paul Ellering swings his briefcase at Billy Gunn only for Gunn to duck and hit one of his men instead. After the Match, D.O.A. beat up Ellering and hit him in the head with his briefcase in response.

Backstage, WWF Commissioner "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels is seen talking with The Rock, "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and The Big Boss Man again.

The Rock beats The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock, The Big Boss Man and Mankind in a Fatal 4-Way Match. During the match, WWF Commissioner "The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels" tries to get involved, and WWF owner Vince McMahon and Test - who have been watching the match from backstage - also show up. Short after this, The Corporation distract referee Tim White so that The Rock can DDT Mankind on a steel chair before hitting The Corporate Elbow for the win. After the match, Vince McMahon pulls a black Corporate Socko out of his pants and applies the Mandible Claw to a downed Mankind. Suddenly, D-Generation X (Triple H, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) shows up and chases everyone away to end the show.

Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for December 13, 1998

WWF owner Vince McMahon shows up to start tonight's show. He once again states that there is no chance in Hell that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will ever again become the WWF Champion, and while he will not go back on the word that he can qualify for the Royal Rumble Match should he win tonight, he says that Austin and his chances of qualifying will literally be buried alive by The Undertaker tonight. As far as The Rock is concerned, despite his condition, tonight's pay-per-view will be dedicated to him. As such, Vince says it is only right that the fans pay homage to The Rock tonight. He asks for a drumroll, then pays tribute to The Rock by unfurling two posters of the rock on both sides of the ring entrance. Vince says that The Rock was confused by the welcome sign to Canada being in both English and French, and says the people of the country cannot make up their minds if they want to be French or English, as they cannot speak either language very well and they obviously have an identity crisis. He then asks if the fans are really proud to be Canadian, then concludes they are not and tells them all to renounce their citizenship and leave the country, as everyone should leave in a mass exodus and crawl on their hands and knees to Washington, D.C. to ask for what they really want: to be recognized as United States citizens. Vince then introduces everyone to a real American: his son Shane McMahon, who guests on commentary tonight.

Before the next match, Debra McMichael says she is sure that Jeff Jarrett will beat Goldust tonight, then promises a sneak peak at what the fans will miss tonight as she can tease them, but still please them.

Duane Gill retains the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship against Matt Hardy after The Blue Meanie gets in the ring and hits Matt Hardy with a DDT behind the referee's back.

Michael Cole and Grand Master Robbie are at the Bop It Game Center. After some trickery by George and Adam, Kaientai (Taka Michinoku, Sho Funaki, Men's Teioh, Dick Togo) prove they have a bit of a ways to go when it comes to their knowledge of English.

We see footage from earlier today where Michael Cole interviews The Rock. As The Rock speaks, Mr. Socko can be seen from behind. The Rock says he drove the corporate caddy into the arena tonight, and everyone rooted for him so he could tell them to shut up. Mankind is seen behind The Rock as The Rock continues to talk. When The Rock is asked about Mankind, The Rock says "Piss on Mankind!" This leads to Mankind opening the glass doors behind to beat him up with random things in the room.

Backstage, The Rock finds out from the doctor that he has a couple of broken ribs. As The Rock tells WWF owner Vince McMahon to tell Mankind that he just screwed himself out of a title shot, it is revealed that Mankind is watching the broadcast and listening in with a pair of headphones. Mankind leaves the room and heads to the ring. He says that is is a happy day as he has an early Christmas gift for Vince. Since Vince taught him very well to read the fine print, he states that the fine prints that if The Rock should fail to wrestle tonight for any reason, the WWF Championship becomes his. He then tells Vince that if he wants to erase that clause in the contract, then they can have a "father-son talk," as Vince has something he wants. In the doctor's room, The Rock is livid.

In the doctor's room, The Rock talks with Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and Sgt. Slaughter.

Before the match, it is announced that Scott "Too Hot" Taylor will have to be on crutches for some time due to the ankle injury he suffered last week. Scott Taylor then guests on commentary for the next match.

Kevin Quinn gets a surprise upset win on "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher with a schoolboy pin.

D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and The Corporation (WWF Commissioner "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock, The Big Boss Man) are seen backstage.

"Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley beats Darren "Puke" Drozdov. After the match, WWF Commissioner "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and The Big Boss Man show up, and Shawn tells D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) to celebrate now, because it is going to suck from here. He announces that tonight at Rock Bottom DX will be barred from ringside during the tag team title match, and if Triple H or Chyna stick their nose in anyone's business, The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) will be stripped of the WWF Tag Team Championships on the spot. As for the Outlaws, he gives them credit for pulling a fast one on him, but as the power guy, he is bullet-proof, and to show there are no hard feelings, he will give them a good warm-up match tonight on Sunday Night Heat.

WWF owner Vince McMahon is interviewed backstage. Vince says that The Rock will not be forfeiting the WWF Championship, and while it will require some negotiation on his Mankind on his part, he compares that Mankind is as smart as "the average Canadian fan," and says he is sure they can come to some sort of agreement.

Jeff Jarrett and Debra McMichael are interviewed by Michael Cole in the ring. Jarrett says that when all is said and done tonight and he beats Goldust, Goldust will have to strip "buck-ass nekkid." He says that he will not allow Debra to show off her body, and Debra says she will be the one person who stays "wrapped."

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) vs. The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) ends with "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and The Big Boss Man attacking the Outlaws. After the match, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmlsey shows up to help out the Outlaws, then Shamrock and Boss Man proceed to attack The Acolytes. The light sthen go out, and The Undertaker is heard announcing to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin that tonight, they write the final chapter of their journeys down the highway to Hell, and says that Austin will reach rock bottom tonight. He says that he has claimed Austin's soul, and tonight, he claims his very existence, as Austin has grown weaker each day while his ministry has grown stronger, and upon the grave, he will build his ministry. Thunder then strikes near the open grave for tonight's Buried Alive match, and the show ends.
