Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for April 4, 2026

C-Rex quickly beats Jae Pariah.

Backstage, we hear from The Bizness Dawgs (Tim Grind and Lil' Homie). Tim Grind says everyone wants to know about them, and says that they are not only proud to be tag team champions, but that they had to go through the entire tag team division to stay champions. Tim Grind dares any team who does not believe them can come see what they are about. Lil' Homie says that they are not running or hiding, and that is the business.

The Bizness Dawgs (Tim Grind and Lil' Homie) retain the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships against The Disorderlies (Disorderly #1 and Disorderly #2). After the match, Dustin Starr interviews The Bizness Dawgs and Xya Wolf at the announce desk. Tim Grind says he has been part of Memphis Wrestling for a long time and that he and Dustin have gone back a long time. He is proud of Memphis Wrestling and of being a tag team champion, and that he is proud to do it with his son. Lil' Homie says that they are putting the tag team division on notice.

Jake Brewer reports that Vince Russo is coming to Memphis Wrestling in order to invest in the company. What this will mean for Memphis Wrestling remains uncertain.

"The King of Pow" Chris Lexx beats "Slick" Nick Scott. "Livewire" Bobby Ford guests on commentary soon after the start of the match, saying that things could have been different. He also wants to make a fresh new start after the Cobra Cup Tournament, yet Dustin Starr thinks there is a hint of jealousy in Bobby Ford's voice.

Backstage, Derrick King talks with "The Gift" Ray Sanders, saying that he cares about him and wants him to be the guy. He also tells Mike Anthony that he likes his intensity and that they have one goal. Mike Anthony says that both "The New King of Memphis" and "The King of TNA" will go down.

Dustin Starr interviews Xya Wolf at the announce desk. Xya says the women's division is a mess right now, and knows that Raven Black attacked Big Mama in the parking lot and says she will deal with her when the time comes. She then says she has business to take care of in the ring. Main Event Bradley guests on commentary for the next match.

Xya Wolf beats Mama Money when Mama Money is too focused on CJ Money coming back. (CJ Money does not come back.)

We hear from Tim Bosby. He says that "The Gift" Ray Sanders is a charity case and a paper champion who got lucky for one night, then says it takes a king to know a king and that he called in Frankie Kazarian. Kazarian shows up and says that he and Bosby are kings compared to Derrick King, and if Derrick King gets involved, he will introduce him to Ken the Kendo Stick.

Mike Anthony and "The Gift" Ray Sanders beat Tim Bosby and Frankie Kazarian after Derrick King stops Kazarian from using a second shinai that he hid underneath the ring after senior official David Knight removed the first one before the beginning of the match. Kazarian shoves Derrick to the floor, but when Kazarian gets tossed out of the ring shortly afterwards, Derrick hits him with a Superkick as Sanders hits Bosby with The Slice for the pin and the win.
