The Dark Knight Rises - Gotham Wrestling recap for April 26, 2026

We hear from Commissioner Little Guido, who announces that the Five Boroughs Classic is starting. Each episode starts with a six-man tag match, one for each borough, with the teammates of the winning team facing each other in three-way matches for the main event. The five winners of these three-way matches will face each other in a Skyscraper Match in Los Angeles, California on Sunday Night Slam, with the winner receiving $50,000 that willbe personally awarded by Commissioner Little Guido. This week's block represents The Bronx.

"Thicc Daddy" Andy Brown, Jarrett Diaz and "Platinum" Max Caster beats The Backseat Boyz (JP and Tommy Grayson) and Nick Dos Santos to move on in the Bronx block of the Five Boroughs Classic and will go on to the three-way main event later on. During the match, Jarrett Diaz tags himself in to get the pin and the win, much to the chagrin of Andy Brown and Max Caster, the latter of whom confronts Diaz afterwards.

Backstage, Brandon Sokler interviews "The Greek God" Papadon, who says that having a championship around his waist is a huge opportunity, and that when "Main Evant" Evan Daniels wanted the best and the baddest, he just got it.

Before the next match, "Main Evant" Evan Daniels tells the fans that they are in the presence of a literal star, and goes on to diss West Nyack, New York and its people before bragging about his Television Championship reign. "The Greek God" Papadon shows up, says that Daniels is dressed like "a Temu Power Ranger" while acting like a tough guy, and says that while he and Gotham Wrestling do not see eye to eye, Gotham Wrestling is still his house. He questions Daniels' sobriety before stating that the only stars he sees will be the one when he is looking up on the lights before going back home, crying to his mother, and becoming "the Temu Loser Ranger."

"Main Evant" Evan Daniels retains the UWN Television Championship against "The Greek God" Papadon after grabbing at the referee while trapping him in the corner, which allows Evan Daniels to kick Papadon in the groin and hit the Lasting Impressesion to win and retain.

We hear from 5150 (Danny Limelight and Slice Boogie), who are in Los Angeles, California. Danny Limelight says it is time to pay Commissioner Little Guido a visit, then compares Guido to The Penguin before stating they are tired of all the tag teams being thrown at them. Slice Boogie says they are trying to go down as the greatest tag team champions of all time and want real competition from real tag teams that have been doing it for a long time and not just teams that have been randomly thrown together.

Backstage, Jarett Diaz and "Thicc Daddy" Andy Brown argue over how Diaz got the win, and Max Caster shows up that he was the captain of the team. Andy Brown says he is sick of both men, saying they won and that this is all that matters, and tonight, he is beating both of them.

Alyssa Marino is in the ring with All Elite Wrestling Vice President of Talent Development Pat Buck. Pat Buck says that everyone here has gotten his attention before thanking the fans here for tonight's show, then Leo Sparrow suddenly shows up and offers Pat Buck some spinach. Leo Sparrow says that Pat Buck had a hand in training him, yet he is barely noticed backstage even though he was born a star. He says it is time that Pat Buck opened his eyes. Pat Buck says it took nineteen years to get on the map and that most of the fans do not know who he is, then tells Leo Sparrow that he is impatient and that he does not respect him due to cutting corners to become Create A Pro Wrestling instead of being the wrestler he trained him to be.
