Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for April 4, 2026

C-Rex quickly beats Jae Pariah.



Backstage, we hear from The Bizness Dawgs (Tim Grind and Lil' Homie). Tim Grind says everyone wants to know about them, and says that they are not only proud to be tag team champions, but that they had to go through the entire tag team division to stay champions. Tim Grind dares any team who does not believe them can come see what they are about. Lil' Homie says that they are not running or hiding, and that is the business.

The Bizness Dawgs (Tim Grind and Lil' Homie) retain the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships against The Disorderlies (Disorderly #1 and Disorderly #2). After the match, Dustin Starr interviews The Bizness Dawgs and Xya Wolf at the announce desk. Tim Grind says he has been part of Memphis Wrestling for a long time and that he and Dustin have gone back a long time. He is proud of Memphis Wrestling and of being a tag team champion, and that he is proud to do it with his son. Lil' Homie says that they are putting the tag team division on notice.



Jake Brewer reports that Vince Russo is coming to Memphis Wrestling in order to invest in the company. What this will mean for Memphis Wrestling remains uncertain.



"The King of Pow" Chris Lexx beats "Slick" Nick Scott. "Livewire" Bobby Ford guests on commentary soon after the start of the match, saying that things could have been different. Ford also wants to make a fresh new start after the Cobra Cup Tournament, yet Dustin Starr thinks there is a hint of jealousy in Bobby Ford's voice.



Backstage, Derrick King talks with "The Gift" Ray Sanders, saying that he cares about him and wants him to be the guy. He also tells Mike Anthony that he likes his intensity and that they have one goal. Mike Anthony says that both "The New King of Memphis" and "The King of TNA" will go down.

Dustin Starr interviews Xya Wolf at the announce desk. Xya says the women's division is a mess right now, and knows that Raven Black attacked Big Mama in the parking lot and says she will deal with her when the time comes. She then says she has business to take care of in the ring. Main Event Bradley guests on commentary for the next match.

Xya Wolf beats Mama Money when Mama Money is too focused on CJ Money coming back. (CJ Money does not come back.)



We hear from Tim Bosby. He says that "The Gift" Ray Sanders is a charity case and a paper champion who got lucky for one night, then says it takes a king to know a king and that he called in Frankie Kazarian. Kazarian shows up and says that he and Bosby are kings compared to Derrick King, and if Derrick King gets involved, he will introduce him to Ken the Kendo Stick.

Mike Anthony and "The Gift" Ray Sanders beat Tim Bosby and Frankie Kazarian after Derrick King stops Kazarian from using a second shinai that he hid underneath the ring after senior official David Knight removed the first one before the beginning of the match. Kazarian shoves Derrick to the floor, but when Kazarian gets tossed out of the ring shortly afterwards, Derrick hits him with a Superkick as Sanders hits Bosby with The Slice for the pin and the win.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for January 24, 2026

Dustin Starr interviews "Wildfire" Tommy Rich at the announce desk after Tommy Rich greets the fans at the WrestleCenter. Tommy Rich says that the show has been great so far and that he is excited to be here. He says Memphis Wrestling has some of the best wrestling in the country as well as some of the best fans, but as he reminisces, "Thrillbilly" Silas Mason shows up. Mason takes exception to being booed by the fans, and says that Tommy Rich's time as NWA World Champion was a cup of coffee and that it burns him up. He says that Tommy Rich still has the fire in his eyes, but he will put him down like a dog in the street if he faces him. Marko Stunt shows up and tries to reason with him, mentioning their history as well as how Silas Mason changed when he took over NWA, and refuses to let Silas disrespect the legends in this building. Silas asks Marko where he gets off talking to him like that and says that he holds the only world heavyweight championship in wrestling, and that he will not respect anyone in the building until they put respect into him. Marko Stunt says he has somebody in mind who will beat some respect into him today, and Silas Mason says that he will not only defend his title, but that he will put whoever is put in front of him into the ground.



K-Toomer beats CJ Blaine by TKO. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews K-Toomer at the announce desk. K-Toomer says that he has a code of honor, then says he should have won the Grind City Rumble and should have been on track to win the Memphis Heritage Championship. Instead, he has a problem to solve in the form of Big John Dalton, and calls him out so he can knock him out like he did Big Daddy. Big John shows up with a metal folding chair and hits K-Toomer with it, but K-Toomer fights back. Referees, security and members of the locker room have to jump in when the brawl gets into the ring, especially when Big John hits K-Toomer with a Spear. DJ Klaun gets in the ring only to eat a Bam Bam Slam.



We see the janitor who was once one of Major Curtis' recruits partying outside with the WrestleCenter fans.

Dustin Starr interviews Matchmaker King Cobra at the announce desk. King Cobra brings out the Cobra Cup, then announces that there is a new tournament. This time, competitors must win a tag team match, defeat their tag team partner, then take part in a Red vs. Blue finals. King Cobra states that the winner of the Cobra Cup will get the chance at being the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Champion.



We see footage of "The Judge" RJW getting Gio Savage to consume some chewing tobacco as well as some "Mississippi fire water."

The Disorderlies (Disorderly #1 and Disorderly #2) beat The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamonte) with a schoolkid pin on Lamonte following the distraction by Muddy Waters ("The Judge" RJW and Gio Savage).



We see footage of The Home Town Man and The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) with the fans at the WrestleCenter.

Jake Brewer reports that The Shocker, "Livewire" Bobby Ford, "The King of Pow" Chris Lexx, and "The Ember" Shawn Aries are in the Red Bracket of the Cobra Cup Tournament.



Dustin Starr interviews Diana Taylor at the announce desk. Diana admits she has yet to hear from Su Yung, then ups the ante and makes their Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship match at SuperBout V a Memphis Street Fight.



Main Event Bradley guests on commentary for the next match.

We see footage of "Wildfire" Tommy Rich with Matchmaker King Cobra at the WrestleCenter.



Diana Taylor beats Mama Money after CJ Money's attempt to interfere by grabbing at Diana from the outside backfires.



Jake Brewer reports that Major Curtis, Sevyn Cruz, VaShawn Harvey and CJ Blaine are in the Blue Bracket of the Cobra Cup Tournament.



"Thrillbilly" Silas Mason's opponent is revealed to be Marko "Hangtime" Harris. "Wildfire" Tommy Rich guests on commentary for the next match.

"Thrillbilly" Silas Mason retains the NWA World Heavyweight Championship against Marko "Hangtime" Harris. During the match, senior referee David Knight is knocked out as Silas spins Harris around. Marko Stunt tries to revive the ref only to get grabbed by Silas. "Wildfire" Tommy Rich confronts Silas and hits him with several jabs, then Marko Harris hits Silas with a top rope cutter. Silas kicks out as referee David Knight, who has now come to, slowly makes the count. Marko Harris goes for another top rope cutter, but Silas catches him and slams him to win and retain.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for July 5, 2025

Jon Roser from Grind City Media guests on commentary for this week.

Dustin Starr interviews "The Chosen One" Zay Washington at the announce desk. He mentions Marko "Hangtime' Harris interfering in his match with Scorpio Sky and calls him out.

Marko "Hangtime" Harris beats "The Chosen One" Zay Washington.



Backstage, "The Gift" Ray Sanders introduces Jazz to the WrestleCenter. Jazz says she has heard good things about Sanders and hopes he wins the Junior Heritage title.



Special Forces (James and Jayson) beat The Disorderlies (Disorderly #1 and Disorderly #2).



It is announced that "The GunShow" Brett Michaels will be out for eight to twelve weeks.



It is announced that Coach Pillar will be teaming up with Rikishi to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Hospital at Tupelo Supershow.



BLJ shows up to host the Lenny's Subs hot dog eating contest. Buddy Jones, Regan and Big John Dalton are the competitors, and K-Toomer and Coach Pillar are the judges. All of a sudden, The Hollywood Clique shows up, and Jimmy Blaylock has Jay Smooth take out the man in the hot dog costume with a chair. Blaylock calls the event an embarrassment, then calls Big John Dalton and K-Toomer "fat asses." This leads to a brawl, where one member of Secret Service gets his nose bloodied by K-Toomer. Jay Smooth hits K-Toomer with a chair to no effect, and he gets his back absolutely wrecked by K-Toomer as a result. K-Toomer grabs Blaylock at first, then puts Ray Collins through a table with a powerbomb while Big John Dalton puts Blaylock in a full nelson. K-Toomer then whispers in Blaylock's ear before putting a Twinkie in Blaylock's mouth. Blaylock flees in fear afterwards.



Mike Anthony is working out outside of the WrestleCenter when he is met by Marko "Hangtime" Harris. Hangtime challenges Mike Anthony for the Internet Championship, and Mike Anthony says the door is always open.



Gio Savage beats Suckerboy.



Sevyn Cruz and KJ Rockett interviews The Slaughterhouse (Jagged James and Nasty Nick) for Vybe Check. They both run off at full blast after Sevyn Cruz gets his face licked.

Jazz is revealed to be in CJ Blaine's corner for the next match.

CJ Blaine beats CJ Money in a grudge match after Jazz punches out Mama Money in the ring for tripping CJ Blaine on the outside. After the match, Jazz hands CJ Blaine a leather belt, which Blaine uses to hit CJ Money in the back a few times to end the show.
