Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for January 24, 2026

Dustin Starr interviews "Wildfire" Tommy Rich at the announce desk after Tommy Rich greets the fans at the WrestleCenter. Tommy Rich says that the show has been great so far and that he is excited to be here. He says Memphis Wrestling has some of the best wrestling in the country as well as some of the best fans, but as he reminisces, "Thrillbilly" Silas Mason shows up. Mason takes exception to being booed by the fans, and says that Tommy Rich's time as NWA World Champion was a cup of coffee and that it burns him up. He says that Tommy Rich still has the fire in his eyes, but he will put him down like a dog in the street if he faces him. Marko Stunt shows up and tries to reason with him, mentioning their history as well as how Silas Mason changed when he took over NWA, and refuses to let Silas disrespect the legends in this building. Silas asks Marko where he gets off talking to him like that and says that he holds the only world heavyweight championship in wrestling, and that he will not respect anyone in the building until they put respect into him. Marko Stunt says he has somebody in mind who will beat some respect into him today, and Silas Mason says that he will not only defend his title, but that he will put whoever is put in front of him into the ground.

K-Toomer beats CJ Blaine by TKO. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews K-Toomer at the announce desk. K-Toomer says that he has a code of honor, then says he should have won the Grind City Rumble and should have been on track to win the Memphis Heritage Championship. Instead, he has a problem to solve in the form of Big John Dalton, and calls him out so he can knock him out like he did Big Daddy. Big John shows up with a metal folding chair and hits K-Toomer with it, but K-Toomer fights back. Referees, security and members of the locker room have to jump in when the brawl gets into the ring, especially when Big John hits K-Toomer with a Spear. DJ Klaun gets in the ring only to eat a Bam Bam Slam.

"Thrillbilly" Silas Mason retains the NWA World Heavyweight Championship against Marko "Hangtime" Harris. During the match, senior referee David Knight is knocked out as Silas spins Harris around. Marko Stunt tries to revive the ref only to get grabbed by Silas. "Wildfire" Tommy Rich confronts Silas and hits him with several jabs, then Marko Harris hits Silas with a top rope cutter.
