Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for August 15, 2025

Nick Wayne retains the ROH World Television Championship against Willie Mack.

AR Fox and The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd) beat Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, "The Captain" Shawn Dean, "Bad News and Tattoos" Carlie Bravo) in a six-man tag match.

Backstage, "Big Shotty" Lee Johnson meets with Blake Christian, and mentions that they have an easy night, as their opponents are Tom LaRuffa and Beef. Blake Christian proceeds to make fun of Beef's name. Lee Johnson wants Blake Christian to take this match a little more serious, but Blake Christian is too busy texting his "trademark guy."

Jay Lethal beats Alex Zayne.

We see Paul Walter Hauser hanging out with Hook, Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor at the premiere of the new Naked Gun movie. Hauser says that QT Marshall is not invited because he is "an asshole."

Before the next match, QT Marshall thinks that The OXP, his opponent for tonight, looks familiar. The OXP says he played Diego on Cobra Kai. Marshall. thinking that The OXP is a friend of Paul Walter Hauser's, says he does not pretend to beat people up, and tells him to get out of his ring and leave the wrestling to the professionals. The OXP responds by punching Marshall in the face.

QT Marshall beats The OXP. After the match, QT Marshall has Aaron Solo hold The OXP up so he can hit him to send Paul Walter Hauser a message. All of a sudden, Paul Walter Hauser shows up. He kicks Aaron Solo in the face and hits him with a Hause Call on the way to the ring, then gets in the ring and confronts Marshall. Marshall turns away only to go for a sucker punch, and Hauser blocks and counters. Marshall fights back and goes for the QT Cutter, but Hauser hits him with a back suplex before clotheslining him out of the ring. Hauser checks on The OXP as Aaron Solo holds QT Marshall back. Hauser then tells Marshall that he will see him soon.

We hear from Mina Shirakawa, who calls out Athena for breaking her hand in the Women's Casino Gauntlet Match and costing her a title shot. She says that Athena took her title shot, but she will take her title at Death Before Dishonor. She says Athena has 68 wins, but she will not "69 her."

Billie Starkz beats Allysin Kay by submission with a modified chickenwing.

Backstage, we hear from The Dark Order (Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds, John Silver). Reynolds states that they find themselves in a familiar place again: coming off a tough win in a six-man tag match, yet losing is essential to their success, as the more they lose, the more they want to win, which makes them dangerous. Silver says that no matter what happens, they keep coming. Evil Uno says that there are tag teams and trios who did not survive the fall while The Dark Order keeps falling only to get back up, as it makes the prize even more sweeter when they do get there, as The Dark Order is forever.

"Vanilla Baby" Blake Christian and "Big Shotty" Lee Johnson beat Tom LaRuffa and Beef. (Tom LaRuffa is best known as Sylvester LeFort from his time in NXT and as Basile Baraka from his time in IMPACT Wrestling.)

Marina Shafir beats Marti Belle by submission with Mother's Milk.

Backstage, we hear from Adam Priest. Priest says he has been in ROH for nearly a month and he has had a World Championship match against Bandido in that time while others have had to work for years to get the opportunities he has gotten. While he came up short, he has noticed that he needs people to watch his back. He is then joined by The Workhorsemen (JD Drake and Anthony Henry). JD Drake says they are always down for a fight and that they have his back.

The Workhorsemen (JD Drake and Anthony Henry) and Adam Priest beat Ryan Zukko, Joe Keys and Josh Fuller in a six-man tag match. After the match, The Workhorsemen and Priest continue to go on the attack, and they are soon confronted by The Dark Order (Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds, John Silver). Priest and The Workhorsemen quickly retreat.

Hechicero beats Jordan Oliver by submission. After the match, Hechicero refuses to let go of the hold, and Bandido shows up. Hechicero gets out of the ring and Bandido gets in.

Before the next match, "Smart" Mark Sterling says The Premier Athletes (Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari) enjoy a little cheat meal from time to time, and when they do, it is a hot dog with a beautiful drizzle of ketchup as well as a nice slice of New York style pizza, which is "nothing like the trash they serve in Chicago." He says they cannot wait to get out of Chicago, Illinois, then give the fans a chance to say that The Premier Athletes rule only to be told that they suck.

Neon and Mascara Dorada beat The Premier Athletes (Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari).

We see a vignette for Hechicero vs. Bandido for the ROH World Championship at Death Before Dishonor. As people in a bar celebrate with Bandido after Bandido beats up the town's unlikeable (and possibly corrupt) sheriff, the sheriff shows up with back-up only for Bandido to blow them away and send the sherriff running. When Bandido goes after the sheriff, he runs into Hechicero.
