Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for November 15, 2024

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Cody says Kevin Owens has crossed quite the line and that he knows Owens is here, then calls Owens out. General Manager Nick Aldis shows up and says he understands everyone is angry, especially with Orton laid up with cervical trauma. He says the piledriver, which Owens used to injure Orton, is banned so Superstars do not end up in wheelchairs in twenty years, and that while everyone does what it takes to succeed, that line cannot be crossed, and while he tries to figure everything out, Owens cannot be here. Cody says Aldis is making a martyr out of Owens and giving him what he wants by hitting him in his pocket when he drives a Lambourghini, and says the message will not hit like he thinks. He asks Aldis to let him take care of Owens, but Aldis says he does not want the inmate running the asylum and that Owens cannot be here until this is handled internally. Cody says that he knows Aldis has to be impartial and unpassionate in his jacket, but he knows what Aldis is capable of in the ring and asks Aldis to put himself in his shoes for a moment. He talks about how Randy Orton was proud of him after WrestleMania 40, and says that if he cannot handle his business in a WWE ring, than he will have to resort to desperate measures, which he knows Aldis does not want. Cody then tells Aldis the ball is in his court and he will not be waiting long.

Jimmy Uso meets with Sami Zayn and "Main Event" Jey Uso and says Roman Reigns has called, saying he is here and that they all need to meet in the same room to plan for WarGames. Jey says they need a fifth member, and Sami says there is somebody else he could ask, and it is worth a shot.

Bayley beats B-Fab and Candice LeRae in a Triple Threat Match with a stack-up pin to B-Fab to advance in the WWE Women's United States Championship Tournament.

Backstage, Sami Zayn speaks with L.A. Knight before L.A. Knight heads to the ring.

We see footage of The Rock on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

Backstage, B-Fab meets with The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) when Chelsea Green and Piper Niven show up after The Street Profits leave to make fun of B-Fab for losing as they say they will become champion. B-Fab says Chelsea and Piper will have something else to worry about when they are in the finals together, then "Michin" Mia Yim shows up with a shinai saying she does not need a tournament to fight. Chelsea and Piper leave.

LA Knight heads to the ring and talks about how Sami Zayn wants him to be part of WarGames, then says that is not his fight and he does not want or need it, and if everyone in the match destroyed each other, he is perfectly fine with it. He then says he has the WWE United States Championship - which now has his own logo all over the strap - before issuing an open challenge for the title, which is answered by Legado del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Elektra Lopez, Angel, Berto). Santos asks Knight why he cannot say something cool or interesting with a ring to it like "Es-Co-Bar, Si," then says "Milwaukeeans" makes the people of Milwaukee seem like aliens for another planet and that it is time for someone to shut Knight up. He says that Elektra Lopez has an opportunity to become the first-ever Women's United States Champion, and entertains the idea of bringing the men's United States title to his faction as well. LA Knight says that he appreciates the ambition from Escobar, then says Berto is staring a hole in him and seems to want his title more. He says that he will have Berto screaming Uncle while Elektra calls him daddy and the crowd chants "LA Knight, Yeah." Santos and Knight argue, then Berto hits Knight with a cheap shot.

LA Knight retains the WWE United States Championship against Berto. After the match, LA Knight is attacked from Shinsuke Nakamura, who has not been seen in WWE for some time. Nakamura now has red paint around his eyes and his hair in his face while wearing long-legged pants.

Backstage, Sami Zayn meets with The Usos (Jimmy Uso and "Main Event" Jey Uso) and says it is not looking good finding a fifth person, then the three of them meet with Roman Reigns.

After the commercial break, Roman Reigns meets with The Usos The Usos (Jimmy Uso and "Main Event" Jey Uso) and Sami Zayn backstage, and Sami says nobody wants to join them. Jey tells Roman he has to make the call, then Solo Sikoa's Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Jacob Fatu) heads to the ring. Roman Reigns' Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Sami Zayn) leaves the room, and they arrive after Solo demands the fans' acknowledgement. As soon as they get in the ring, both factions brawl. Roman hits Solo with a Spear as he is about to hit Sami with the Samoan Spike, and after Sami hits a dive over the top rope, Roman and Jacob square off in the ring. All of a sudden, Roman is attacked from behind by "Big" Bronson Reed. Everyone goes back to brawling inside the ring, and Sami is hit by a Jacob Fatu moonsault while Jimmy Uso is hit with a Bronson Reed Tsunami. Roman soon gets back up and starts hitting everyone with Superman Punches, but Solo hits him with a Samoan Spike before demanding that Jacob Fatu finish him. Jacob hits Roman with a moonsault before Bronson hits Roman with a Tsunami. Bronson Reed raises a finger along with the rest of Solo Sikoa's Bloodline, and Jey Uso tells Roman Reigns "Make the call."

We hear from Kevin Owens, who says he has not been allowed back to work after what he did to Randy Orton, which put Orton on the shelf, when he was just doing his job. He says that this is not fair, then says General Manager Nick Aldis wants him at SmackDown next week because "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes wants him there, then says he will show up even though he should not, and that he will only be showing up for himself. He says that when he shows up, he is just doing what everyone wants him to do: his job.

The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) beat The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) by disqualification after they are attacked by Tommaso Ciampa. The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) retain the WWE Tag Team Championships. After the match, Alex Shelley confronts Ciampa, and Johnny Gargano has to stand between them. Ciampa then shoves Gargano, then angrily heads to the back as he makes it clear he wants the tag team titles. When Shelley tells The Street Profits that they had nothing to do with this, Angelo Dawkins nearly punches Shelley out.

Backstage, Naomi is met by Bayley, and after they congratulate each other and as Bayley says that she has been watching Raw, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill show up and tell Naomi that they have her back.

Nia Jax retains the WWE Women's Championship against Naomi. During the match, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill are attacked by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez backstage, then Tiffany Stratton shows up and attacks Naomi from behind. Naomi keeps fighting, and Bayley shows up to take out Tiffany Stratton, but she is sent into the ring post by Candice LeRae, which allows Nia to hit a middle rope Samoan Drop followed by an A-Nia-Lator to win and retain.

Backstage, Roman Reigns makes a phone call to Paul Heyman, but finds out his phone number is not in service.

This week on The SmackDown LowDown: Blair Davenport! Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton and Candice LeRae! Solo Sikoa's Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Jacob Fatu, Bronson Reed)!
