Raw Deal - Raw recap for March 12, 2018

General Manager Kurt Angle shows up to start tonight's show. Angle thanks the Detroit, Michigan crowd for the reception, then says he cannot express how proud he is to perform at WrestleMania with "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey against Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and WWE COO Triple H. Angle states he almost feels sorry for what Rousey will do Stephanie, but he will not feel sorry for what he does to Triple H. He also address Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship, which he calls "a match for the ages." Angle then announces that Lesnar will not be here tonight. Suddenly, Roman Reigns shows up. Roman says he wishes he was surprised, but he is not, and says that he was not lying about Lesnar last week, stating Lesnar has no respect for the company or for the fans. He then says Lesnar did not show up for work tonight, or last week, and says there will be no repercussions for him because he is "Vince's boys." He says if anyone else did this, they would be fired, as would himself, Kurt Angle or the rest of the locker room. He says that the real problem behind this is WWF owner Vince McMahon, and says Angle is just a middleman. Roman says he busts his ass for Vince , and while it is one thing to be disrespected by Lesnar, he will not be disrespected by Vince. Roman then heads to gorilla position and confronts Vince McMahon, and Vince tells Roman they will talk about in the ring. Vince then tells someone to go to commercial, and the show goes to a commercial break.

Renee Young reports that Roman Reigns and Vince McMahon had a loud argument in the latter's office. Roman comes out, but refuses to answer any questions from Renee. Vince walks out, and says Lesnar is his own man and not his or "Paul Heyman's boy." He has nothing but respect for Roman, but he did tell him to know his role and shut his mouth. He admits Lesnar has special privileges and does not like people, but says Lesnar does respect competition and that he has earned his privileges, even if he has gone out of line with them. Vince then assures that Lesnar will be here next week, and that he will defend the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania. He assures that Lesnar will show up next week, then announces Roman Reigns has been temporarily suspended.

Sasha Banks beats Sonya Deville with the Banks Statement after Bayley pulls Mandy Rose off the apron. After the match, Bayley simply walks away, then Absolution (Paige, Sonya Deville, Mandy Rose) surrounds Sasha Banks. The numbers game proves too much for Sasha.

It is announced that Kid Rock will be inducted into the Celebrity Wing of the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018.

It's time for Miz TV. Tonight's special guests are Seth Rollins and Finn Balor. Miz says The Miztourage (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) is not standing with him tonight, as they have a special tag team match and an opportunity to punch their tickets to WrestleMania, saying he has elevated their careers. Miz then introduces tonight's guests, Seth Rollins and Finn Balor, saying he will beat them in WrestleMania as part of the final hurdle to becoming the best WWE Intercontinental Champion of all time. Seth Rollins is introduced first, and Finn Balor is introduced after. Miz says he and Seth could have "burned it down" at WrestleMania one-on-one, and says that while Finn is a respectable worker, he is not as good as Seth. Seth tells Miz that he, Finn and the fans know Miz is trying to start something. Miz says Finn is the man...in bingo halls. He says that while Finn has a good WWE track record, then says that maybe Finn deserves a one-on-one spotlight against him at WrestleMania. He then says Finn has proven he is better than Seth, and Finn tells Miz he just used the same strategy with him as he did with Seth and that he will have to try harder. Miz accuses Seth and Finn of making him look like a bad guy, and tries to drive a wedge further between Seth and Finn by mentioning that one is always one-upping the other. Seth tells The Miz to do everyone a favor and shut up, as he does not need to fire them up. Seth says they are already fired up for the Intercontinental title match, and that he will take the title from Miz. He then tells Finn he doesn't stand a chance, and Finn responds by reminding Seth that the last time they had a title match and saying he won with one arm. Finn and Seth go back and forth saying they'll beat each other, then Finn says they don't have to wait until WrestleMania, as they can do it right now. Finn and Seth stare down as Miz shows interest, then Finn and Seth stare at Miz. Miz tries to run away, but Seth catches him. He and Finn then send Miz out of the ring, then Seth gets the last word with a forearm as soon as Finn turns around.

It is announced that Seth Rollins and Finn Balor will go one-on-one later tonight.

Sheamus and Cesaro vs. The Miztourage (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) ends before it can begin when both teams brawl and The Revival (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson) jump in on the brawl. Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson), Titus Worldwide (Titus O'Neil and Apollo), Heath Slater and Rhyno also join in on the brawl, and Sheamus and Cesaro are both forced to retreat from the ring in different directions.

John Cena shows up. Cena says WrestleMania is less than four weeks away and that he has found his road there. It may not be the ideal path, but he is brave enough to face the truth that he has had opportunities on both brands and still fell short. He provides no excuses and blames nobody else but himself. Cena says it is every Superstar's dream to contribute to WrestleMania, and he is here tonight to announce that he will not contribute to WrestleMania this year. Cena states that this does mean that he is quitting, walking away or missing WrestleMania, and that he is going to be there, but his road is the same as the fans'. This year, he will be part of the fans' energy, as he is going to WrestleMania as a fan. He says this may come across as a shock, but without the fans, there is no noise, no excitement and no action. Cena plans to go to WrestleMania excited and fired up, and he could be sitting somewhere in the crowd. He gets in the crowd, drinks a fan's beer, and says the crowd is what makes it awesome as he leads a "This is awesome!" chant. He then tries to start a "Let's Go Roman!" chant, but he gets a mixed reaction and gets back in the ring. He then address that the "Let's Go Cena, Cena Sucks" will not be part of this year's WrestleMania, so he lets the fans get it out now. Cena says that it could be worse and he could do the thing he's not supposed to, which is challenging The Undertaker to a match at WrestleMania. He then challenges The Undertaker, which leads to a very positive reception from the crowd. Cena says he has been told it was impossible, and then asks why it is considered impossible. He says it can't be the powers that be, or else his microphone would be cut off and he would be escorted out and suspended. After challenging The Undertaker to a WrestleMania match, he comes to the conclusion that there is only one individual who is keeping this from happening: The Undertaker. He then addresses The Undertaker, telling him to get over his own ego as the only difference between them is that when he fails, he gets up and kicks ass the next day while The Undertaker hides, never to be seen again. He finds it sad that a symbol so strong is also so fragile, and tells him to get over himself as he is not sad, beaten or broken down; otherwise he wouldn't be posting workout videos on his wife's Instagram. Cena then reiterates that The Undertaker is the reason their match will not happen, and calls him an "egomaniac." He then asks the crowd if they want to see The Undertaker absolutely destroy him. The crowd makes it known they want it. Cena says he wants him to do it, and that the crowd would like to see him try it. He then says he will be going to WrestleMania as either a fan or The Undertaker's opponent, then says the clock is ticking and it is time to see if he is still alive. Cena then says if he were The Undertaker, he would want one more match. He then tosses the microphone away and walks to the back.

Backstage, Cesaro tells General Manager Kurt Angle what happened to them earlier was completely uncalled for, but Angle says they had this coming to them. Sheamus said they wanted a team to step up, but after what happened, he and Cesaro want to be traded to SmackDown Live, as he mentions there are rumors of a Superstar Shake-Up after WrestleMania rumbling and they know when they are not wanted. She says that Nia Jax is in the palm of her hands and that she is as dumb as she is big. Alexa then says that Nia Jax would be nothing without her, and that she kisses the ground she walks on because she makes her relevant. Alexa then says Nia Jax will do their dirty work, and if she thinks for herself once in her life, they will beat the hell out of her. Charly Caruso then shows up and tells Mickie and Alexa that their conversation has just been broadcast to the entire world. Nia walks up the ramp, stops, sheds a tear, then runs to the back. Alexa and Mickie leave as quickly as possible, then Nia Jax storms into the dressing room and tears things up in a fit of rage.

He accepts his invitation to "The Ultimate Deletion," and says it would be a shame if something were to happen to Hardy's family. Bray Wyatt then tells Matt Hardy he is coming for him...and that he should run. We then see General Manager Kurt Angle, who then says "I knew Bray Wyatt was crazy...but what happened to Matt?"
