Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for March 15, 2018

Jeremy Borash is in front of all the men participating in this week's Feast or Fired Match. As always, one briefcase will contain an X Division title shot, a second will contain a tag team title shot, a third will contain a World title shot and a fourth will contain a pink slip which will terminate the Impact Wrestling employment of whoever is unlucky enough to take it.

Sami Callihan beats Fallah Bahh. After the match, oVe (Jake Crist, Dave Crist, Sami Callihan) get Fallah Bahh back in the ring with a steel chair and a nailbat so Callihan can injure him like he did Eddie Edwards. Eddie Edwards suddenly shows up with a black eye and a baseball bat, and chases oVe out of the ring.

"Reborn" Matt Sydal announces that tonight, he will reveal his one true spirit guide, and he is grateful for the opportunity to do so.

The Global Wrestling Network Flashback Moment of the Week is the Feast or Fired Match from Final Resolution 2008.

Mackenzie Mitchell conducts an exclusive interview with Austin Aries, who says that he surprised even himself to show up out of nowhere and win the Impact World Championship in minutes. He talks about his new book Food Fight and his vegan lifestyle, then Alberto El Patron shows up, wanting a word with Aries in private. Mackenzie Mitchell leaves, then El Patron welcomes Aries to Impact Wrestling. He says he is so happy that Austin Aries is here, then tells him that this is his show. He also says that he takes respect and honor seriously, and says that Aries have proven to the fans that hey have a good champion to go against "the champion who never lost the title" He then gives him a welcome present: some wie and a steak dinner. Aries pulls out a banana and is about to eat it, and Alberto El Patron takes offense to it. El Patron takes a bite of the steak while Aries takes a bite out of his banana. Aries makes it clear he does not eat meat, then eats another piece in front of him before grabbing the whole steak with his hand. Aries pushes El Patron back and says if he wants to put meat in his mouth, that is his business. El Patron then notices the book and says he knew nothing about "the vegan stuff," and El Patron says he will buy his boo. Aries gives him the book and says he doesn't need the money as he living on the champion's purse, and asks El Patron if he remembers what that feels like. El Patron takes the book and leaves, then Aries has a drink of the wine.

Backstage, Kiera Hogan runs into Allie and congratulates her on winning the Impact Knockouts Championship and for helping her. Kiera Hogan then tells Allie that she cannot wait to work with her. Suddenly, Braxton Sutter shows up, and Hogan leaves. Braxton asks for a word in private with Allie, but Allie says she needs to be alone and leaves.

Jimmy Jacobs and Kongo Kong show up. Jimmy says he would be lying if he said he didn't like to hear himself talk, as you can get things done with words if you can string them together. However, he is not afraid to physical when necessary, and people needed to get hurt as Joseph Park has failed to produce Abyss. Until Joseph Park produces Abyss, he will unleash Kongo Kong on an unparalleled path of destruction. He then says he is a good guy and that he will use his words one final time, and asks Abyss where he is. Suddenly, Father James Mitchell shows up and introduces himself to Jimmy Jacobs, and says he has admired him from afar for years and has been impressed with his Impact Wrestling debut. He then says the two of them have a lot of common, such as eccentric genius, great fashion test, complete disregard for the rules that govern polite society, and that Jacobs reminds him of himself and that such traits are desirable; however, he is also a monster fan, and he calls Kongo Kong one of the most impressive beasts he has seen in a decade and that he would try to get him on his side if he didn't have a monster of his own. He then shares some wisdom with Jimmy Jacobs, saying he knows how it feels to be in his shoes and on the cusp of greatness, willing to sink to any depth to take the brass ring and achieve one's goals; however, when he did it, he sold his soul in a Faustian pact and he was able to make his son, the monster Abyss, a world heavyweight champion. Together, they left a trail of broken bodies and destruction in their wake, but the cost of the Faustian pact was due and he caused Abyss to commit acts of abject violence and depravity that caused his personality to splinter in order to cope with his behavior, which created the character of Joseph Park, attorney at law. He wanted Abyss to embrace his true nature, but at the end of the day, he lost his son. Mitchell then tells Jacobs that he will have to pay the piper himself, as he has watched for weeks as he has abused Joseph Park to call out Abyss and turned a blind eye when Chandler Park was sent to the hospital. He did nothing when Jacobs when he and Kongo Kong destroyed Joseph Park's office and when he humiliated his grandmother on national television. He then says this is when Jacobs pays the piper because he poked the wrong bear, but Jacobs says that he is the bear and he does not need the wisdom. He tells Mitchell to save the wisdom for someone who cares, but Mitchell says he is hear not to humiliate him, but to thank him, as his actions against Joseph Park has given him something he could not get on his own: the ability to awaken the sleeping giant and bring his son Abyss back. He thanks him again, and tells him his future can be summed up in two words: "Click...Doomsday!" Abyss finally shows up, and he and Kongo Kong go at it. Abyss clotheslines Kongo Kong out of the ring, then Father James Mitchell tells Jimmy Jacobs and Kongo Kong that as a gesture of gratitude, he will give them two tickets to the Monster's Ball next week, setting up a Monster's Ball Match between Kongo Kong and Abyss.

We see a video package for the feud between Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary.

Taya Valkyrie vs. Rosemary ends in a double count-out, then both women brawl on the ramp afterwards, and Taya hits Rosemary with the Road to Valhalla on the stage.

Backstage, Eli Drake keeps calling Chris Adonis on his cell phone as well as on a nearby office phone. He gets Adonis on the office phone, but finds out that Adonis is not coming, as he is afraid of grabbing the briefcase that contains the pink slip. Eli Drake tells Chris Adonis he is fired and that if he has to go through the match alone, he will do it.

He tells Brian Cage he does not want or need his help, and if he wants to be in the same ring as him, he can do it in a fight. He says both men apparently want a fight, then Brian Cage looks at him and leaves.

In the Latin-American Xchange clubhouse, Konnan says that they will be watching the Feast or Fired Match. Suddenly, Homicide shows up with a suitcase of money and Konnan accuses Homicide of coming a few stacks of cash short before Ortiz takes advantage of the situation and wins their dominoes game. Konnan looks at the table again as he says that LAX will be watching the Feast or Fired Match before noticing he has to recount the dominoes, too.

"Reborn" Matt Sydal shows up. He thanks the fans for supporting him throughout his career, then says he would not be standing here today if it were not for his one true spirit guide who has helped him to manifest himself into the champion he is today. He then introduces his one true spirit guide. Suddenly, Josh Mathews leaves commentary and walks down the ramp, much to the surprise of Josh Mathews' commentary partner Sonjay Dutt. The crowd immediately chants "Fire Josh!", then Jsoh says that for the longest time, he has tried to enlighten the masses, but he has come to the conclusion that true enlightenment comes from within and that "Reborn" Matt Sydal is the North Star of enlightenment. Josh then asks the fans to put their hands together and attempt to center their chi, and after a few moments, Josh says Sydal has sat under his learning tree and accomplished things that many people deemed impossible. Josh then presents Sydal with a gift: a mask of Sydal's spirit animal, which he puts on. Sydal says that all of Josh's actions are lessons, and that Josh has taught him a lot. He then says if he is a champion, then so is Josh, and he hands Josh the Impact Grand Championship. Josh thanks Sydal, and says the light in him loves, honors and cherishes the light in Sydal.
