Raw Deal - Raw recap for July 11, 2016

On the pre-show, Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) make fun of The Lucha Dragons (Sin Cara and Kalisto) for wearing masks "to cover up their ugly faces," but Sin Cara splashes Tyler Breeze's drink into his face.

At the beginning of the show, The Miz stands on the commentary table and announces that whoever wins the battle royal that will happen next will earn a shot at the WWE Intercontinental Championship, then guests on commentary along with Maryse for the next match. It is also mentioned that Baron Corbin's Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy is at ringside to intimidate his opponents. Also, Bob Backlund watches the match from ringside to support Darren Young.

Darren Young wins a battle royal after Apollo Crews eliminates himself along with Baron Corbin to earn a shot at the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Shane McMahon and Stephanie McMahon wonder why their father Vince McMahon is coming to Raw. In comes Seth Rollins, who thinks Vince is coming to talk to him and proposes The Rollins Report, since he "nearly replaced Jon Stewart on The Daily Show." He plans to talk about "the Roman Reigns scandal." Shane and Stephanie like the idea and go for it.

Brock Lesnar's victory at UFC 200 is mentioned and a snippet of the post-fight press conference is shown.

Zack Ryder confronts Rusev, asking him if he's ready to defend the United States title against him. He is then suddenly attacked from behind by Sheamus, who says he has a match against him next.

Sheamus beats Zack Ryder, then Rusev shows up and brawls with Ryder until he puts him in a submission hold and tells him he accepts his challenge.

Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) beats The Lucha Dragons (Sin Cara and Kalisto).

Seth Rollins is in the ring for The Rollins Report, with footage of a one-on-one interview with Roman Reigns. However, when the interview is shown on the TitanTron, it is immediately evident that the footage of Roman Reigns is from another interview, outing the interview as an edit job that Seth Rollins made just to make Roman look bad. As Seth says that Roman Reigns should be out of the WWE Championship match at Battleground and that it should just be him versus Dean Ambrose, Dean Ambrose shows up, impressed that Seth "pulled the giant stick out of his butt and had fun for once in his life." Seth says the real joke is Dean's WWE Championship reign, as Dean couldn't beat him one-on-one for the title. He says that at Battleground, he will officially be the best member of The Shield, and tells Dean his "fairy tale title reign" will come crashing down. Dean Ambrose says that he's been the backbone of the company for a while and the king of it, and everybody knows it. He tells Seth he went through a lot to get the WWE Championship and that he will go through even more to keep it, and is more than ready for a one-on-one match for the title. So is Seth...but not tonight. He tells Dean he'll see him next week.

Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose for the WWE Championship is official for next week.

Sami Zayn guests on commentary for the next match...almost. Kevin Owens wants him removed from ringside as he considers Sami's presence at the announce table an unsafe work condition. Stephanie McMahon shows up and tells the referees to remove him even though Shane McMahon okayed him being there. Sami Zayn reluctantly leaves. As he does, Kevin Owens shows up at last and Sami Zayn briefly brawls with him only for both men to be immediately separated by the referee. Right after this, Vince McMahon shows up, and Renee Young immediately interviews him asking why he is here. He is here for the fresh air as well as to announce who will be the commissioner of SmackDown.

Kevin Owens beats Cesaro. After the match, Kevin Owens yells at commentary, then Sami Zayn flies out of the audience and beats up Owens. Owens gets back in the ring, but falls victim to a Cesaro Swing.

Renee Young interviews The Club (AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson), who say that Enzo Amore and Big Cass are in big trouble. They also plan to beat up John Cena.

Titus O'Neil beats Heath Slater.

Renee Young interviews Sasha Banks, who says Dana Brooke made a mistake taking her on. She says Charlotte and Dana Brooke can push her buttons, but she's not getting mad...she's getting real.

This Thursday on SmackDown: Miz TV with Darren Young and Bob Backlund!

We see The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) fight The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Eric Rowan, Braun Strowman) at the Wyatts' compound. They retreat at the sight of lanterns and followers of Bray Wyatt.

Before the next match, Enzo Amore and Big Cass say they're going to earn their spot, then tell The Club (AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson) that if they beat up John Cena, it will only be a matter of time before The Club take them down, and they refuse to let them take food off their tables. AJ Styles gives them one last chance to walk away before they get hurt, but Enzo and Cass are more than willing to throw down.

Enzo Amore and Big Cass beat The Club (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) by disqualification when AJ Styles interferes. After the match, John Cena shows up and evens the odds, and he evens the numbers game to help Enzo and Cass clean house.

Sasha Banks beats Dana Brooke with the Banks Statement. After the match, Charlotte says anybody can get lucky once, and challenges Sasha to face Dana again on SmackDown and maybe she will see if Sasha is deserving.

Shane McMahon and Stephanie McMahon show up, with Vince McMahon soon to follow. He tells Stephanie and Shane that even though they've done a fairly good job and that he thought he would never see them cooperate, he's disappointed in them, Stephanie for being passive-aggressive and Shane for not having ruthless aggression. He wants competition, and asks them to convince him that they can compete. Stephanie then calls Shane backstabbing and maniacal. Shane says he represents change that is much needed, especially for SmackDown, and that he is the only one in this business who tells Vince what is on his mind in a respectful way but without kissing his ass. Shane then asks the WWE Universe who they want to see run SmackDown, and everyone wants Shane. Vince then chooses Shane McMahon as the new commissioner for SmackDown, but relieves him of his responsibilites on Raw, making Stephanie the commissioner for Raw. Vince then tells them to compete for real, and tells them that one of them will earn "the keys to the kingdom." Next week, the two of them have to choose a General Manager for their respective brands. Vince then says "let the games begin." After Vince leaves, Stephanie says she's had to work twice as hard for half the recognition, and now she plans to make Shane wish he was never born in addition to burying him. Shane says Stephanie is scared, and says "game on." Stephanie says she knows only one game, and she's married to him. She then slaps Shane. Shane kisses Stephanie on the cheek, then Stephanie trips on the stairs on the way to the ramp.

Here's the top 10 moments from tonight's show!
