Jeremy Borash is in the ring with Lashley and Eddie Edwards. Lashley says the World title is the heart of TNA, not the X Division, and that all Eddie Edwards has managed to do is pis shim off. Eddie says he's never backed down from a fight, and he doesn't plan to now. He tells Lashley that if he is pissed off now, he should wait until later tonight when he is World champion. Lashley says that won't happen tonight, because the underdog only wins in movies. Eddie tells Lashley that wrestling is his life, and Lashley attacks him. Lashley then gets a steel chair and is about to hit Eddie with it when Davey Richards, who hasn't been seen on television since February, makes a surprise return and saves Eddie from a beating before he and Eddie send Lashley over the top rope with a double team clothesline.

Reby Sky repeatedly screams "Obsolete!" as Jeff approaches the ring with no facepaint and a red hoodie. Matt tells Jeff that his Impact Wrestling contract is terminated, and then tells him to be gone. Jeff starts to leave, but Matt tells Jeff to stop and turn around, and tells him he hopes he will not find joy "in the afterlife," but tells him he might get a job in the WWE or New Japan, and decides to keep him in TNA and own him as his personal, obsolete mule that he will work to death. Matt says he is broken, but he will never be broke. He tells Jeff that he will find out deletion is a fate worse than death.
