Generation NXT - NXT recap for July 13, 2016

Samoa Joe appears on NXT for the first time since retaining the title against Finn Balor at NXT TakeOver: The End. He's here for a few reasons: to see Finn Balor's match against Shinsuke Nakamura, to which he calls the implications of the match disrespectful to him, as the winner will supposedly get a shot at the NXT Championship. Joe makes it clear that regardless of whoever wins, he stands before the crowd NXT Championship and that neither man will take it from him. He says that if Nakamura is the King of Strong Style, he's the emperor, and that he will strike Nakamura down if he steps up. Samoa Joe says that anyone who wants to get to the top must go through him. Suddenly, Rhyno shows up and says that if he has to face Joe to get to the top, he'll go right through him. Joe exits the ring and walks away, and tells Rhyno that if he wants to fight him, he'll do it on his time, not Rhyno's.

Bayley takes on Nia Jax, American Alpha (Jason Jordan and Chad Gable) take on the Authors of Pain and Rhyno takes on Samoa Joe...all next week!

"The King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura beats Finn Balor. Both men bow to one another in a sign of respect after the match as the crowd chants "Thank you, Finn."
