Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for June 2, 2016

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) start tonight's show. They get everyone up to speed on what happened to them on Raw, but The Club (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) show up before they can really start explaining. Gallows and Anderson proclaim that the tag team titles are coming to them. The New Day respond by making club jokes, and when they mention dues, Gallows and Anderson say they have dues and they're taking them out on The New Day, who dare them to come out to the ring and "collect." When The New Day say that AJ Styles isn't out with the rest of The Club, AJ Styles shows up and says that the WWE belongs to The Club after what they did to John Cena, and that Kofi Kingston has been joking around for ten years because he's a joke, but Kofi Kingston rattles off all the gold he's won, and The New Day says that the real joke is AJ Styles taking ten years just to get to the WWE. AJ Styles then says "This isn't the new day...this is our day." Styles challenges The New Day to a match against him and The Club. The New Day accept.

Kofi Kingston vs. AJ Styles is official for tonight.

Becky Lynch beats Charlotte by disqualification after Dana Brooke is caught by the referee pulling Charlotte out of the Disarmher. Natalya shows up after the match and throws down with Dana Brooke, and Natalya and Becky clean house until Dana Brooke and Charlotte retreat.

Renee Young interviews Dean Ambrose and Sami Zayn. Sami Zayn says that focus is the key to victory for him and Dean. Kevin Owens and Alberto Del Rio show up, and Owens says Sami is trying to manipulate Dean Ambrose into letting his guard down, but Sami reminds Owens that Del Rio is "the biggest snake in the grass in WWE history." Del Rio resents that, and says that he and Owens will beat him and "his paperboy" (a cheap shot at Sami Zayn) tonight.

Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) guest in the "VIP Lounge" at ringside for the next match.

The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) beat The Golden Truth (Goldust and R-Truth) after Tyler Breeze distracts and The Dudley Boyz take advantage. Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) make fun of The Golden Truth yet again after the match.

Renee Young interviews Baron Corbin, who says that the WWE Universe doesn't deserve his presence, as he will not enter an arena until he faces Dolph Ziggler again...and that the next time he and Dolph Ziggler meet, he will crush him and it will be the end of Dolph Ziggler.

Dean Ambrose and Sami Zayn beat Kevin Owens and Alberto Del Rio. After the match, Kevin Owens grabs a commentary headset, says he's sick of partners costing him matches, and tells them to take a look at what he's going to do as it's what he will do at Money In The Bank. He pulls out a ladder from below the ring and is about to set it up when Cesaro shows up, hits the springboard European Uppercut on Owens and does what Owens was about to do: set up the ladder, climb up it and grab the Money In The Bank briefcase hanging above the ring.

Rusev beats Jack Swagger with the Accolade. He refuses to release the Accolade, and Titus O'Neil rushes in to save Swagger, forcing Rusev to retreat.

Bob Backlund wants to make sure Darren Young walks for his health. Really.

AJ Styles beats Kofi Kingston after Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson brawl with Big E and Xavier Woods.

Here are the top 10 moments from tonight's show!
