Raw Deal - Raw recap for June 27, 2016

Seth Rollins shows up to start tonight's show. He talks about the Triple Threat Match between him, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship (now known simply as the WWE Championship from this point on) at Battleground, then talks about Roman Reigns' 30-day Wellness Policy violation and Roman's owning up to his mistake on Twitter. Seth Rollins says Roman has never apologized for anything in his life, and wonders why he should start now. He says Roman didn't really care for the fans, and as for owning his mistake, Seth says he owns Roman and says Roman doesn't deserve forgiveness or a slot in the Battleground main event, saying that the match should only be between him and Dean Ambrose. Dean Ambrose shows up and wonders if Seth's rant is about Roman or about him having the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Dean says everybody makes mistakes, then makes fun of Seth before saying the match should remain a Triple Threat Match. AJ Styles suddenly shows up and says the match should remain a Triple Threat, except with himself replacing Roman Reigns. Dean says Roman's still in the match, but AJ Styles still wants to be in it, making it a Fatal 4-Way. Suddenly, John Cena shows up, saying that Dean Ambrose is a fighting champion and will fight anybody, but wonders if Dean will fight him. After announcing he's been in the WWE for 14 long years, he brings up the idea of making the match a Fatal 5-Way. Rollins gets upset, then Stephanie McMahon shows up. She is embarrassed and mortified with the "Roman Reigns scandal," then has an idea involving what has just transpired. She puts Seth Rollins in a match with John Cena and AJ Styles in a match with Dean Ambrose. If Cena and Styles win their matches tonight, they will be added to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at Battleground.

Paige and Sasha Banks beat Charlotte and Dana Brooke with a Banks Statement to Dana Brooke.

Raw is being aired in China for the very first time tonight on PPTV, making it the 91st country to broadcast the show.

Titus O'Neil beats Rusev by count-out after sending Rusev into the timekeeper's area.

We go behind the camera at WWE's televised events with DeVry University.

Stephanie McMahon runs into Kane backstage. Kane still wants to run SmackDown. Suddenly, The Miz and Maryse show up. Both Miz and Kane name drop their recent movies, then Kane mentions that Miz hasn't defended the Intercontinental Championship in over 30 days, and if he were running SmackDown, Miz would be defending the title tonight. Stephanie thinks that's a great idea, and has Miz defend the title later tonight...but leaves the conversation on a cliffhanger as she doesn't mention who Miz will be defending against.

John Cena will host the Espys live on July 13th.

Seth Rollins beats John Cena thanks to a distraction by The Club (AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson).

Before the next match, Enzo Amore and Big Cass asks the fans to do the wave when the match starts. They then quickly beat two local talents. After the match, The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) make a surprise return and announce they're looking for some action. Axel tells Enzo and Cass to get out of the ring. Big Cass wants to know who's hardest, but the three of them get in the ring to show how hard they really are. Big Cass and Enzo force them to retreat, however.

WWE has partnered with Special Olympics, and some Special Olympics athletes get to take a tour of the WWE Performance Center. Some Special Olympics athletes and Special Olympics North America president Mark Edenzon stand at the top of the entrance ramp along with Big Show and Renee Young.

Natalya - who says that she's tired of being the nice girl and being walked on - guests on commentary for the next match. The next match doesn't happen, however, as Becky Lynch attacks Natalya as soon as she makes her way to the ring.

Jameis Winston of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is in the crowd tonight.

It's time for The Highlight Reel. Tonight's guests are Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. He introduces Kevin Owens first, followed by Sami Zayn. Jericho then tries to see what makes the two of them tick and drive them apart, but Sami Zayn wants to put an end to the rivalvry between him and Owens once and for all at Battleground. He says that Kevin Owens hides behind lies, as Owens says it was strictly business that he put Sami through so much and not because it was personal. Owens continues to insist that Sami ruined their friendship and that his actions were all strictly business. He says he was happy for Sami and says Sami wasn't happy for him. Owens says it doesn't matter now after calling Sami a terrible friend, and tells Sami he's got his match at Battleground. Jericho then agrees with Owens, and says that Sami has his head up his ass caring about what the fans think. He says Sami makes him sick and wants to slap him, but decides to let Owens do it instead. He then asks Owens and Sami to drink in the gift of Jericho. Instead, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens super-kick Jericho to end The Highlight Reel.

Kane beats The Miz by count-out after Maryse's distraction backfires, leaving her knocked off the apron and with a hurt ankle. Miz carries Maryse to the back and retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Maryse reveals to The Miz that she didn't hurt her ankle. Miz is surprised....and impressed.

Cesaro and Apollo Crews beat Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio after Del Rio turns on Sheamus and leaves him high and dry.

Jojo interviews Dean Ambrose, who says that his WWE World Heavyweight Championship reign isn't exactly what he hoped for, but he has plenty to do. Stephanie McMahon shows up and makes it clear she doesn't like him holding the title, and that when the match at Battleground becomes a Fatal 4-Way, she'll be one step closer to ending "this nightmare."

This Thursday on SmackDown: Miz TV with special guest Dean Ambrose!

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) show up dressed like The Wyatt Family (Erick Rowan, Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper). They say The Wyatt Family need a big ol' bowl of Booty-O's, then proceed to make fun of them. The real Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman) then make their presence known, and Bray wants to know how the power of positivity will put food on his table. Bray also gets to Xavier Woods as well, and tells Woods he can trust in him. He then says the New Day will fall.

Renee Young interviews The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods). As Kofi and Big E believe that making fun of The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman) is a good idea, Xavier Woods in uncharacteristically quiet.

Seth Rollins guests on commentary for the next match.

Dean Ambrose beats AJ Styles after The Club (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) tries to interfere and John Cena fights them off. After the match, Styles, Gallows and Anderson beat up John Cena while Seth Rollins gets Dean Ambrose from behind with a Pedigree. The Club then hits the Magic Killer on Cena at the top of the entrance ramp, then Rollins hits another Pedigree on Ambrose.

Here are the top 10 moments from tonight's show!
