Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for March 29, 2016

Matt Hardy shows up with Reby Sky, Tyrus and Rockstar Spud. He says a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship for Jeff Hardy isn't going to happen, and if anyone deserves a rematch for the title, it's him. He demands a rematch now. Suddenly, Maria Kanellis and "The Miracle" Mike Bennett show up. Bennett tells Matt to relax, as nobody wants to see him as world champion and that TNA needs a miracle...and him as TNA World Champion. Reby tells Maria to leave along with Bennett, and Maria says that Reby has no idea to be a lady. Reby is about to beat her up, but Spud and Matt hold her back. Matt tells Bennett to get in line, and Bennett says that while Matt is a potential Hall of Famer, he's old and washed up. Matt and Bennett are about to fight about it when Ethan Carter III shows up and makes fun of everyone in the ring, especially Mike Bennett, who says he's not going to fight him tonight. EC3 says he will, and says he won't leave until he gets a fight right now. Matt gives him a fight: EC3 vs. Matt, Reby, Spud and Tyrus. EC3 accepts the challenge, saying "At least one of you has some balls."

Ethan Carter III vs. The Matt Hardy Brand (Matt Hardy, Reby Sky, Tyrus and Rockstar Spud) ends when "The Miracle" Mike Bennett, who is watching the match from ringside, attacks EC3. It's a five-on-one attack on EC3 until Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode) show up and clear the ring. They then say they want a fight, and challenges three of EC3's attackers to a six-man tag match.

Matt Hardy, Tyrus and "The Miracle" Mike Bennett beat Ethan Carter III and Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode) after EC3 chases Bennett to the back and Tyrus puts an end to Beer Money's double teaming.

Jeremy Borash interviews Gail Kim, who desperately wants to get her hands on Maria. Maria may have done some talking with TNA management to get out of a fight with her and make Jade #1 contender to the Knockouts title, but she's done some talking of her own with management, and has set up a #1 contender's match for the Knockouts title that involves Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky.

The Bro Mans (Robbie E and Jessie Godderz) are talking in the locker room when Eli Drake shows up, making it clear he's none too pleased with the Bro Mans reunion, and tells them to go into a dark hole and never come out. This gives Jessie an idea: go in a new, darker direction.

Madison Rayne beats Velvet Sky with a jackknife pin to become #1 contender for the TNA Knockouts Championship. Madison teases attacking Velvet after the match, but both women show respect in the end.

Drew Galloway has respect for Jeff Hardy, but says that he's going to retain the TNA World Heavyweight Championship tonight against Jeff Hardy.

The Pope is in the ring. As he speaks and says it's time to let a man be a man, Lashley shows up and tells Pope to apologize and return to the commentary table before he gets in the ring and hurts him. Pope sees no need to apologize to Lashley for recent events, and calls him out for a fight. Lashley gives him one last chance to back down before he hurts him, and Pope responds by hitting Lashley, who quickly gets the upper hand in the brawl before beating up officials. But Pope gets right back up, dodges a Spear from Lashley, knocks down a few refs and hits Lashley from the top rope. Security has to rush in to stop this brawl.

Jeff Hardy is psyched for tonight's world title match, and plans to play the underdog and take the world title.

Matt Hardy calls tonight's main event "a travesty of justice," and insists he should be having a rematch for the World title.

Eric Young and Bram show up. They may have hit a speed bump last week, but EY says he will take the World title from Jeff Hardy when he wins it. The Bro Mans (Robbie E and Jessie Godders) interrupt, and challenge them to a fight.

The Bro Mans (Robbie E and Jessie Godderz) beat Eric Young and Bram.

Grado and Mahabali Shera are about to party when they get beat up by Al Snow, who seriously hurts Grado and tells him he doesn't belong here after breaking his arm.

Gregory Shane Helms and Trevor Lee are in the ring. Helms says he's here to get people to talk about the X Division again, but he's here to do more than that. He calls out Eddie Edwards, who shows up. Helms says that The Woves (Edwards, Davey Richards) is a great tag team. Eddie Edwards says he came here with Davey Richards to prove they're the best tag team out there right now. Davey carried on as a singles wrestler when he was injured, and now that Davey's injured, he's going to do likewise. Helms says his TNA debut is imminent, and tries to sell Eddie Edwards on tag teaming with him and taking the TNA World Tag Team Championships from Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode). He gives him a week to think about it, and says he hopes that Eddie makes the smart decision.

The Pope says he wants Lashley for a fight next week.

Drew Galloway retains the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Jeff Hardy. After the match, Matt Hardy shows up and says he will take the TNA World Championship back from Galloway. Galloway says that while he just fought Jeff Hardy, he'll fight Matt right now. He does just that as Bram and Eric Young attack Jeff Hardy outside the ring before they focus on Galloway. Galloway hits two Claymores on both EY and Bram, and Jeff hits a Twist of Fate on Matt. All three men leave the ring, then Jeff Hardy challenges Eric Young to a Six Sides of Steel match.
