Layin 'da SmackDown! - SmackDown recap for July 4, 2014

Thanks to Kianna Fury at diehardwrestling.blogspot.com for the match order.

Seth Rollins enters the ring to start the show. He tells John Cena that he got lucky Monday night, but he still has his Money In The Bank briefcase and he plans to cash it in successfully to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Dean Ambrose shows up, and says that no matter what Rollins does to cash in, he's going to be there every single time. Then he rushes into the ring and goes after Rollins. The two brawl until Randy Orton runs in and gives Ambrose a beatdown along with Rollins. Roman Reigns shows up and evens the odds, making the save for Dean Ambrose and taking down both Orton and Rollins. Rollins retreats, as does Orton, and Ambrose and Rollins stand tall. Triple H shows up and makes a match between Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton. If Reigns interferes, he's out of the Fatal Four-Way match at Battleground.

Bo Dallas announces he's going to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship at the battle royal at Battleground for "little Daniel [Bryan]."

Bo Dallas beats Diego. After the match, he attacks El Torito after El Torito gores him in the butt.

Big E and Cesaro wrestle to a no-contest, as the match gets violent between the two of them.

Sheamus retains the WWE United States Championship against Alberto Del Rio.

Chris Jericho shows up. After taunting Bray Wyatt, The Miz shows up. He says he could have helped Jericho with The Wyatt Family (Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan), but says he attacked his "moneymaker" (his face). As he explains what an attack on his face would cost, Miz eats another Codebreaker from Jericho.

Paige guests on commentary for the next match.

AJ Lee beats Eva Marie with the Black Widow. Paige congratulates AJ after the match.

Damien Sandow shows up dressed as Bruce Springsteen and is about to sing (probably "Born In The USA") when Rusev and Lana show up. Rusev and Sandow go at it, but Rusev puts Sandow out of commission. Suddenly, Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter come out to the ring and lay the verbal smackdown on Lana.

Goldust and Stardust answer the age-old question "What's in a name?"

Byron Saxton interviews Roman Reigns. He knows Dean Ambrose can take care of himself, and plans to do nothing to jeopardize his spot in the Fatal 4-Way at Battleground.

Seth Rollins guests on commentary for the next match.

Randy Orton vs. Dean Ambrose ends when Seth Rollins interferes, hitting Ambrose with his Money In The Bank briefcase after Ambrose attacks him during the match. Roman Reigns makes the save to end the show, causing Orton and Rollins to retreat.
