Layin' da SmackDown! - SmackDown recap for July 18, 2014

Dean Ambrose shows up. He criticizes Seth Rollins for his ambush on him earlier this week on Raw, and says it'll take more than that to keep him from destroying him at Battleground. He asks if that's all Seth has got. Rollins appears on the TitanTron, and says without him, he is nothing but a deranged lunatic headed for the insane asylum. He also says he tweaked his knee on Monday, and he can't go after him until Battleground. Ambrose doesn't care, and wants Rollins to come to the ring. Rollins then tells him that as per Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, Ambrose has a match, but not against him...it's against Kane.

Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler beat Fandango and The Miz.

Nikki Bella is wearing a referee's top...and she's not very happy about it...

Alicia Fox and Eva Marie attack special guest referee Nikki Bella during their match.

Goldust and Stardust talk about another dimension of sight and sound. Or something.

Chris Jericho beats Luke Harper despite the distraction from Erick Rowan. When Rowan attacks Jericho after the match, The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) make the save.

Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger are in the ring. They're sick and tired of Lana and Rusev's anti-American rhetoric, and Zeb says Swagger will be crush-proof come Battleground. Lana and Rusev show up, and Lana says Rusev will dominate this Sunday.

Alberto Del Rio beats Kofi Kingston.

Fandango wishes Summer Rae and Layla in their match, and says they'll come back to him when he wins the Intercontinental title. Summer and Layla, however, are tired of having to share him and want him out of their lives. Bo Dallas shows up and tells Fandango to Bo-lieve.

AJ Lee and Paige beat Summer Rae and Layla with the Black Widow. Even though AJ tagged herself in to win the match, AJ and Paige still appear to be frenemies.

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) advertise for Sonic...and Hornswoggle gets a brain freeze.

Seth Rollins tells Kane not to take what Randy Orton did personally, and to focus on Dean Ambrose. Kane tells Seth Rollins not to get any ideas about cashing in his Money In The Bank briefcase.

Kane vs. Dean Ambrose ends when Seth Rollins blindsides Ambrose with the Money In The Bank briefcase. Rollins then hits the curb stomp to the steel steps on Ambrose.
