Come As You Are (WWF Superstar) - Superstars recap for April 17, 1993

At the start of the show, Bam Bam Bigelow tells "The Rocket" Owen Hart that his rocket is going down in flames. Owen Hart says that in a short while, Bam Bam Bigelow will be his launchpad to blast his rocket straight to the top.

Crush beats Glen Ruth. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from Doink. He insists there is only one of him and that the other Doink who pops up to talk with him is an illusion.

The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu) beat J.D. Stryker and Ron Preston. During the match, it is announced that WWF President Jack Tunney wants a full report, including X-rays, on the forearm of "The Narcissist" Lex Luger.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund advertises Monday Night Raw for the night of April 26th at the Manhattan Center in midtown Manhattan, New York. Shawn Michaels squares off against "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, and Mr. Perfect will meet "The Narcissist" Lex Luger. Crush, Yokozuna and The Nasty Boys (Jerry Sags and Brian Knobbs) will also be on the card. On May 1st at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York - where kids 12 and under get in for $2 less - Bret "Hit Man" Hart takes on Lex Luger. Luger says that when he first came to the World Wrestling Federation, he had heard all the accolades about Bret "Hit Man" Hart, but when he laid beneath his feet at the WrestleMania brunch, he was disgusted because Hart laid there unconscious at his feet and he knew he would no longer be WWF Champion. Now he plans to write the final chapter in his career, and finish him once and for all. Bret says everyone wants to know how he feels now that he is no longer WWF Champion. He feels angry, for starters, but all he can do is get back on track and go straight back to the top. Hulk Hogan is the WWF Champion right now, and the only way to get a title shot is to beat everybody else up. He will see Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji on the way, but first, he has to deal with Lex Luger. He knows that Luger likes to hurt people with the steel plate in his elbow, and tells Luger that he looks forward to stepping in the ring with him as it is a whole different ballgame now. He says that the "nice guy stuff" is over, and that he is going to be the most vicious wrestler he's ever seen. He tells Luger to remember one thing: this isn't a bodybuilding competition, this is a wrestling match, and he will wipe him out.

We see footage of the aftermath of Mr. Perfect vs. "The Narcissist" Lex Luger at WrestleMania 9.

Mr. Perfect beats Barry Hardy. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from Shawn Michaels, who says that Mr. Perfect thinks he is flawless and unblemished, but at WrestleMania 9, he found out he could take the perfect beating. He doesn't think that Mr. Perfect wants any more of him.

Bam Bam Bigelow beats "The Rocket" Owen Hart. After the match, it is announced that the newest issue of WWF Spotlight Magazine with Andre the Giant on the cover is now available.

We see the music video for "WrestleMania" from WrestleMania: The Album.

Yokozuna beats Chris Katowski. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, who says that Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji cannot be trust. He says the USA is the land of the free and the home of the brave, and he has a 2x4 for him. After the match, it is announced that WrestleMania 9 will be available on VHS from Coliseum Home Video next Thursday.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund re-advertises Monday Night Raw for the night of April 26th at the Manhattan Center in midtown Manhattan, New York, as well as the May 1st show at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, where kids 12 and under get in for $2 less. At the latter show, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan will face Yokozuna. Mr. Fuji tells Duggan he has a small, small memory, and asks him if he remembers what Yokozuna did to him last time. He says that Yokozuna crushed his ribs, and his wife was crying. he asks Duggan if he wants to see his newborn child, and tells Duggan that this time around, Yokozuna will permanently cripple him, and Duggan will be screaming in pain. Shawn Michaels will also face Mr. Perfect, who says that everywhere he goes, he hears about how Shawn jumped him from behind and treated him like a piece of garbage. Mr. Perfect says he is not a piece of garbage, and that Shawn is. He says Shawn's problem is that he is walking around like he is the king of the ring, but he is a two-time Intercontinental Champion and he knows what it takes to hold the title. He says Shawn has great assets, but he is Mr. Perfect, and that Shawn is about to get what is coming to him.

Next week: Shawn Michaels! An update on the medical condition of "The Rocket" Owen Hart! Tatanka! Mr. Hughes! The full medical evaluation of "The Narcissist" Lex Luger! The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner)!
