WrestleMania 9 - The Results

The show begins with the opening ceremonies: the arrival of Julius Caesar and Cleopatra on an elephant, the arrival of "Macho Man" Randy Savage on a sedan and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan riding backwards on a camel.

When Shawn Michaels arrives for his match, he is accompanied by Luna Vachon, who is making her WWE debut. His opponent, Tatanka, is accompanied by Sensational Sherri, even though she is not on his side and is standing in a neutral corner.

Tatanka beats Shawn Michaels by count-out. Shawn Michaels retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship. After the match, Luna Vachon attacks Sensational Sherri until Tatanka forces her to retreat. Tatanka carries Sherri to the back.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner). They plan to make Julius Caesar proud by beating The Head Shrinkers (Samu and Fatu).

During The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) vs. The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu), it is reported that Luna Vachon has attacked Sensational Sherri at the first aid station. (Luna is later arrested by security.)

The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) beat The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu).

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Doink, who has vandalized and desecrated a Julius Caesar statue to look like him. Doink intends to have Crush seeing double vision tonight.

Doink beats Crush, staying true to his promise when another Doink shows up after the ref is unintentionally knocked out and smacks Crush with a prosthetic arm. As Doink leaves, another referee rushes in and tells the first one what happened. When they look under the ring, the other Doink is gone.

Todd Pettengill interviews people, asking people if there were really two Doinks or if it was really an illusion.

Razor Ramon beats Bob Backlund with an inside cradle.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster) They think that The Megamaniacs (Hulk Hogan and Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake) are fighting a dog in their own backyard, and IRS plans to ruin Brutus' face, just like Hogan's has been damaged as he came out of the gym last night, implying Hogan has recently been attacked by Money Inc.

When The Megamaniacs (Hulk Hogan and Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake) show up, Hulk Hogan's eye is bandaged up, red and heavily damaged.

During Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster) vs. The Megamaniacs (Hulk Hogan and Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake) for the WWF Tag Team Championships. Money Inc. tries to retreat. It is announced that if Money Inc. does not return to the ring by the count of ten, not only will they lose the match, they will lose the tag team titles.

Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster) retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against The Megamaniacs (Hulk Hogan and Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake) by disqualification after Jimmy Hart turns his jacket inside out to count the pinfall for the Megamaniacs after referee Danny Davis is knocked out. Money Inc. tries to attack The Megamaniacs after the match, but it doesn't work and they have to retreat. As for Danny Davis, Jimmy Hart tosses him out of the ring. The Megamaniacs also get a hold of IRS' briefcase, and find a brick, tax forms and a ton of dollar bills that they give away to people in the front row.

Todd Pettengill briefly interviews recording artist Natalie Cole and Caesars Palace CEO Dan Reichartz.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Mr. Perfect. Perfect says he's exactly what he says he is, while "The Lexercist" Lex Luger (obviously a botch of "The Narcissist") has to carry a mirror all the time to remind himself of the person he thinks he is while he knocks people out like he did Bret Hart earlier in the day.

"The Narcissist" Lex Luger beats Mr. Perfect with a backslide pin, despite Perfect's feet touching the ropes. After the match, Luger almost immediately knocks Perfect out with the running forearm. After Luger leaves, an angry Mr. Perfect gets up to a standing ovation and rushes right to the back, looking for Luger. He finds him talking to Shawn Michaels and attacks him, but Shawn Michaels attacks Perfect until officials hold him back. "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan come to blows over how everything transpired, and Jim Ross is caught in the middle.

Gorilla Monsoon announces the match between Giant Gonzales and The Undertaker.

The Undertaker is brought to the ring on a hand-drawn carriage. Perched next to him is a vulture.

The Undertaker beats Giant Gonzales by disqualification when Gonzales uses a handkerchief with chloroform poured on it to knock Undertaker out. Undertaker is taken to the back, but he rushes right back out and fights off Giant Gonzales, who then has to be escorted to the back by armed Caesars Palace security.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund sets the stage for Yokozuna vs. Bret Hart. He also interviews Hulk Hogan, who says that all the Hulkamaniacs are in Bret Hart's corner before warning the officlas to watch Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji like a cat. He then calls out whoever wins the WWF Championship tonight and issues a challenge to them.

Todd Pettengill briefly interviews a few fans.

Yokozuna beats Bret "The Hit man" Hart to win the WWF Championship after Mr. Fuji throws salt into Bret Hart's face as he performs the Sharpshooter. Hulk Hogan tries to tell the ref what has happened, but Mr. Fuji butts in and says Yokozuna has issued a challenge to Hulk Hogan for the WWF Championship. Hogan is more concerned with Bret Hart, but Bret tells Hogan to go for it. Hogan does, and Yokozuna tries to hold Hogan in place so Fuji can throw salt in Hogan's face, but Hogan dodges it and the salt hits Yokozuna instead, allowing Hulk Hogan to win the WWF Championship for a record fifth time.
