Generation NXT - NXT recap for July 22, 2015

Finn Balor shows up for the first time on NXT television since winning the NXT Championship from Kevin Owens. Finn says that all the choices and sacrifices were worth it when he won the title. As for Kevin Owens, he and Owens have a championship rematch at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn that will be made official later tonight in an official contract signing. Balor gives Owens credit where credit is due, but given Owens' accomplishments, Owens still hasn't beaten Finn Balor, and he plans to walk out of TakeOver: Brooklyn as NXT Champion.

Devin Taylor interviews Eva Marie. Eva Marie thanks William Regal for the opportunity, and tells the NXT Universe to open their eyes as they will like what they see.

Eva Marie beats Cassie in her NXT re-debut.

William Regal is on the phone when he notices Tyler Breeze is in his office. Tyler Breeze wants something good for NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn. Regal says he's working on it.

Baron Corbin very quickly beats an unnamed opponent.

Samoa Joe - now with a new theme song - beats Mike Rallis. During the match, it is revealed that Samoa Joe will take on Rhyno in two weeks' time.

Devin Taylor interviews Emma and Dana Brooke. They mock Bayley, and Emma says she plans to break Bayley's spirit.

Bayley beats Emma in her first match back since Emma injured her right hand after Dana Brooke gets ejected for trying to interfere in the match. After the match, Bayley says she's glad to be back, but she's back for the NXT Women's Championship. She wants a match with Charlotte in her quest to beat the best.

Devin Taylor interviews Charlotte. Charlotte accepts Bayley's challenge, then Dana Brooke shows up, saying she wants to beat her. Charlotte says Bayley can wait a week, and tells Dana she plans to make a statement that she won't forget.

The Vaudevillians (Aiden English and Simon Gotch) beat Sawyer Fulton and Angelo Dawkins.

Blake, Murphy and Alexa Bliss plan to walk out of NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn with the NXT Tag Team Championships.

William Regal is in the ring to oversee the official contract signing of Finn Balor vs. Kevin Owens in a rematch for the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn. It doesn't take long before Kevin Owens decides to make his own way into the ring. Regal the introduces Finn Balor. Owens asks Balor how it feels to be champion and still be the underdog at TakeOver: Brooklyn, and talks about what he's done in NXT since he arrived. He then tells Balor that he will prove what happened in Japan was just a fluke when he leaves Brooklyn as NXT Champion. Balor tells Owens he likes to talk, and in Brooklyn, he plans to shove his words down his throat. Balor signs the contract, then Owens and Regal do likewise. Owens then topples the table and goes after Balor, and also attacks William Regal. Balor runs Owens out of the ring, and Owens retreats.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for May 27, 2015

Sami Zayn's music plays, but it's Kevin Owens who shows up to start this week's episode of NXT. He also wears the newest John Cena shirt to send a message to his opponent at Elimination Chamber, John Cena. He says he doesn't have to defend the NXT title every week as he isn't insecure and doesn't have to prove himself. As everyone chants "John Cena sucks," Owens says they should have done that with Sami Zayn, whom he says will never show up in NXT again as he took him out. As for backing down from Samoa Joe, he wanted to give the audience a positive note to go home to and let them live in the moment for he could have dropped Joe in seconds. Suddenly, William Regal shows up, and says the fact that he put his hands on Owens first at NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable is the reason that Owens is still here. As for the people Owens put on a stretcher, Owens tells Regal it's all on him as he made the matches himself. Suddenly, Solomon Crowe shows up and calls Owens out on virtually everything he's said. Owens, apparently not caring, tells Crowe he earned his opportunity tonight, and Regal immediately makes the match official. Owens then tells Regal that Crowe is the next to go on a stretcher.

Hideo Itami states that when he comes back from his shoulder injury, there will be no stopping him.

Last week at NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable, Renee Young interviewed Zack Ryder when suddenly Mojo Rawley shows up, energetic as ever.

Emma, now with new entrance music and an alliance with Dana Brooke, beats Bayley with the Emma Lock. After the match, Emma and Dana Brooke attack Bayley. Charlotte shows up to try to make the save, but the numbers game catches up with her and Dana soon slams Charlotte into the mat.

Last week after NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable, Baron Corbin and Rhyno met again after the show backstage. Rhyno tells Corbin he wants to fight him again...the sooner, the better.

We get a look at Becky Lynch.

Blake and Murphy, now with Alexa Bliss as their valet, beat Elias Samson and Mike Rallis. After the match, Blake and Murphy go back on the attack, and Alexa Bliss hits the Sparkle Splash on Elias Sampson.

Alexa Bliss says that she, Blake and Murphy are winners, and that winners gravitate towards each other. Next week, Bliss faces Carmella, whom she compares to the garbage dump of Carmella's home in Staten Island (along with Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady). She plans to take Carmella "back to the garbage dump where she came from."

Finn Balor beats Tye Dillinger.

Jason Jordan says not to worry about him, as he's found a perfect tag team partner to replace Tye Dillinger. Suddenly, Chad Gable shows up and says JJ is talking about him...but JJ isn't impressed.

Kevin Owens beats Solomon Crowe. After the match, Owens is about to attack Crowe again when Samoa Joe shows up. Owens retreats, telling Joe that what happened to Crowe is going to happen to him next time.
