Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for September 19, 2026

Dustin Starr interviews The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamonte) at the announce desk. Ruffshot Lamonte says he is doing great after therapy and that he is back to cash checks and break necks. Matchmaker King Cobra then shows up and announces that The L.A. Hustler have a match right now. As Ruffshot Lamonte heads to the ring, Dexter Lumis - now going by his pre-WWE name of Sam Shaw - pops out of the crowd. Shaw gets in the ring and crawls around on his fists as he chases Lamonte in a circle. The match begins, and Shaw immediately catches Lamonte for a body slam in the middle of the ring.

Sam Shaw beats Ruffshot Lamonte by submission after The Modern Day Monsters (Warwolf, Marrow, Asa) show up and hold Notorious Bradley back while also distracting Lamonte, who is out cold right after Shaw locks in a submission hold.

Dustin Starr interviews Xya, who has brought referee Arthur Logan with her as she says that she is tired of Raven Black ducking her and cheating to keep the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship, at the announce desk. Raven Black shows up and tells Xya that the match will happen on her time, but she gets punches in the face by Xya, who throws her into the ring and superkicks her soon after the bell rings to win the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship...almost. Matchmaker King Cobra shows up and nullifies the match, stating that the match was never officially signed, and makes the match official with the title on the line for today's main event. Right after this happens, Raven cracks a beer bottle on the back of Xya's head and says she will see Xya then.

Backstage, Chuck Swann is on the phone. He says that The Vybe Check (Sevyn Cruz and Jae Pariah) is great, then says that Sevyn Cruz has "some bad mojo" just in time for Sevyn Cruz to overhear him from behind a door.

Vashawn Harvey beats Big John Dalton. During the match, Big John accidentally squashes referee Arthur Logan as he splashes into VaShawn Harvey in the corner, and this allows Marko Stunt to show up, hit Big John with a chair followed by a top rope elbow drop to the back, and then hand the chair over to VaShawn Harvey. VaShawn hits Big John repeatedly in the ribs with the chair, then pins Big John and shoves the chair out of the ring before referee Arthur Logan comes to and makes the slow three-count.

Backstage, senior official David Knight checks on Xya Wolfe to see if she can still compete in today's main event.

Backstage, Marko "Hangtime" Harris meets with Matchmaker King Cobra regarding a rematch with Mike Anthony for the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship. King Cobra reminds Harris that he has other obligations, and that the rematch will happen down the line.

Main Event Bradley vs. "The Hybrid" Aries Clark ends in a no-contest when "The Chosen One" Zay Washington shows up with a chair only for Bradley to get the better of him. The numbers game soon takes over as Big Nico 5XL makes his way to the ring. As Main Event Bradley is being laid out, CJ Squared (CJ Money and CJ Blaine) show up, and Big Nico 5XL gets pelted with metal folding chairs as he tries to leave. They ultimately have no effect as Nico absorbs all the damage almost like a sponge and leaves the ring.

Backstage, senior referee David Knight tells Matchmaker King Cobra that Xya Wolfe is able to go, yet he still has his doubts before leaving it up to Cobra's disrection. King Cobra tells Knight that he is not taking Xya's opportunity away and that the match is still on.

Xya beats Raven Black to become the Memphis Wrestling Women's Champion! Before the match, Xya shows up in a daze with a bandage on her head, despite seeming fine backstage earlier. Raven Black underestimates Xya during the match, and this leads to Xya hitting Raven Black with a big boot as Raven charges at her for the pin, the win and the title. After the match, The Bizness Dawgs (Tim Grind and Lil' Homie) show up to celebrate with Xya to end the show.
