SuperBout V, Week One - Memphis Wrestling recap for February 7, 2026

The show starts with Derrick King getting fans to sign a petition to get "The Gift" Ray Sanders in the main event.

We see the cold intro for SuperBout V, narrated by "The GunShow" Brett Michaels.

Derrick King shows up at the start of the show with the petition in his hand. There is also a ornate-looking black chair in front of the announce desk as Dustin Starr interviews Derrick. Derrick says that "The Gift" Ray Sanders belongs in the main event of SuperBout V, and asks Matchmaker King Cobra to show up so he can show him the petition. Matchmaker King Cobra says he is not doing this for Derrick or for Ray Sanders, but for the fans, and if they want it, he will sign it. The Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship main event match in Week 3 is now a Triple Threat Match.

It is now obvious what the ornate-looking chair in front of the announce table is: a barber's chair. Before the next match, "The Gold Standard" Eli Knox shows up with a very big man wearing a black suit, trilby hat and sunglasses.

"The Gold Standard" Eli Knox beats "Cold Hearted" Colton Cage to become the Memphis Wrestling Junior Heritage Champion. During the match, the referee is knocked down by Eli Knox's feet as Colton Cage goes for the Cold Hearted Cutter. He hits it, but the referee is down. Eli Knox calls for reinforcements in the form of the big man in back, who gets in the ring and hits Colton Cage with a choke slam. After the big man leaves, Eli Knox revives the referee and gets the pin, the win and the championship.

Backstage, Tim Bosby is absolutely livid that "The Gift" Ray Sanders is now in the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship Match.

Marko Stunt guests on commentary for the next match.

VaShawn Harvey and CJ Blaine beat Major Curtis and Sevyn Cruz to advance in the Blue Bracket of the Cobra Cup Tournament after Sevyn Cruz inadvertently takes out Major Curtis with a top rope blockbuster and VaShawn Harvey tags himself to take out CJ Blaine and pin Sevyn Cruz following CJ Blaine's Busaiku Knee to Sevyn Cruz for the win.

Backstage, Mike Anthony meets with "The Gift" Ray Sanders about the petition and tells him that he deserves it, then warns him that respect is going out the door in the main event and that the best man will win.

KJ Rockett beats Mama Money, Makkari Kandy, Raven Black, Xya Wolf and C-Rex to win a Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship #1 contender's gauntlet match. Mama Money is eliminated after CJ Money holds Makkari Kandy down from the ring apron only for Mama Money to nail him with a clothesline and knock him off the apron instead of hitting Makkari Kandy as intended. When Xya Wolf eliminates Raven Black, Raven Black attacks Xya Wolf and hits her with a spinebuster before being forced out of the ring by security, which allows KJ Rockett to eliminate Xya Wolf with a standing moonsault. When C-Rex gets in the ring, Jake Pariah and Sevyn Cruz distract C-Rex by spitting water in her face, which has no effect and causes C-Rex to chase the both of them to the WrestleCenter lobby. C-Rex is counted out, and KJ Rockett wins the match. C-Rex returns after the match, and KJ Rockett hightails it out of the ring.

We hear from Mike Mondo, who says that next week, there will be a battle royal to decide who faces him for the NWA National Championship. He says that whoever wins will be stepping into the ring with the human gut-checking machine.

"The King of Pow" Chris Lexx and "The Ember" Shawn Aries beat The Shocker and "Livewire" Bobby Ford to advance in the Red Bracket of the Cobra Cup Tournament after Chris Lexx counters a lackadaisical cover by Bobby Ford with a crucifix pin for the win.

K-Toomer beats Big John Dalton in a Survive or Surrender Match after Big Daddy throws in the towel while K-Toomer hits Big John Dalton with a flurry of offense as Big John is tied up in the ropes. During the match, Big Daddy and DJ Klaun VI go at it, and at one point, Big Daddy Spears K-Toomer through a table and DJ Klaun VI hits a top rope elbow drop on Big John Dalton.
