Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for February 28, 2026

Backstage, it is revealed that someone in a black hooded jacket has attacked Derrick King with a shinai.

Dustin Starr interviews Tim Bosby at the announce desk to start today's show. Bosby says he will not rage and cry because the fix was in and he was conspired against, and calls his match a "four-on-one" with "The GunShow" Brett Michaels, "The Gift" Ray Sanders, Derrick King and Mike Anthony involved. He says he has talked to Matchmaker King Cobra and has gotten his Heritage Championship rematch, which will be one-on-one against Ray Sanders, and he will not have to worry about The GunShow or Mike Anthony. Mike Anthony shows up and says Tim Bosby stated there was no one left and he was second to none, then tells Bosby that he gets him in the ring, Bosby will be second to one and that he will be the one.

"The King of Pow" Chris Lexx beats "The Ember" Shawn Aries in the Red Bracket of the Cobra Cup Tournament with an inside cradle to advance to the finals.

Matchmaker King Cobra meets with CJ Blaine and The Bizness Dawgs (Tim Grind and Lil' Homie). Tim Grind says he has not run from a challenge and they will not run now upon being told that The Hollywood Clique are next in line for the tag titles. Everyone leaves, and King Cobra enters the bathroom. The masked man rushes to the door as soon as it closes to lock King Cobra in.

The Vybe Check (Sevyn Cruz and Jay Pariah) vs. The Disorderlies (Disorderly #1 and Disorderly #2) ends before it can start when C-Rex shows up and gets in the ring. The Vybe Check, including KJ Rockett, get out of dodge while C-Rex clobbers The Disorderlies.

Backstage, Main Event Bradley grounds CJ Money again for constantly losing matches and costing him his match against Big Nasty Phil and has Mama Money take his phone, then tells him to unpack his bags. CJ Money says Bradley is not his real dad before leaving.

Dustin Starr interviews a returning Nixi XS - who is still holding her bedazzled Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship - at the announce desk. Nixi XS says she has beaten every woman in Memphis Wrestling and is the real Women's Champion, then says the fans do not appreciate her talents. She also says that four women attacked her before Diana Taylor got in the ring and says that was not a fair fight, then says she is in action today because the women in the back want to face "the real champion," whether the fans want to acknowledge it or not.

Nixi XS beats Makkari Kandy.

Marko Stunt guests on commentary for the next match.

Marko "Hangtime" Harris retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against "Slick" Nick Scott.

In backstage footage from moments ago, the masked man attacks Mike Anthony with a shinai.

Tim Bosby beats "The Gift" Ray Sanders to become the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Champion for a second time. During the match, Ray Sanders inadvertently takes out senior official David Knight with a running drop kick in the corner. Sanders hits Bosby with the Code Red followed by The Slice, but Knight is still down. Sanders tries to revive Knight to no avail, and the man in the black hoodie suddenly shows up and strikes Sanders in the back with a shinai. Bosby hits Sanders with a Ripcord Lariat, then revives Knight for the pin, the win and the title. The masked man in the black hoodie then hands the Heritage Championship to Bosby and celebrates in the ring with him, then unmasks to reveal that he is none other than Frankie Kazarian.
