Good Lucha Things - Lucha Libre AAA recap for February 7, 2026
"Dirty" Dominik Mysterio heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Dominik says he has no respect for the fans, and that he does not want to see old people on the flags because he is the owner of AAA and he makes the rules here. He says that absolutely nobody has given AAA the position he has given in it, and nobody has taken the AAA Mega Championship to Raw. Dominik says that when he beat John Cena at Survivor Series, the Mega Championship was in the middle of the ring so everyone could see it. He says that AAA is on Fox for all of Mexico and Latin America and is exploding, but it is because of him, not El Hijo del Vikingo or Dorian Roldan. He says that this is all possible because of him and that AAA is in a new era, and that he is "the dirtiest of the dirtiest" and the king of the luchadors. El Ojo (Dorian Roldan, Omos, El Hijo del Vikingo) shows up, and Roldan says that they are in a new era that nobody could have imagined a year ago, and that he is now one of the richest people in Mexico. He says he has invested his money very well with the true champion and the best wrestler Mexico can give in El Hijo del Vikingo, who tells Dominik that his end has come and that on March 14th, he will see him in the best city in Mexico: Puebla. He calls Dominik "the worst of the Mysterios" and himself "the best in the world," then asks Dominik what he will think in their championship match. Dominik tells Vikingo he will kick his ass in front of his whole family. Vikingo admires the confidence that Dominik has in thinking he can beat him in his own house, but says he will not beat the best wrestler in the world, and proposes something more interesting for their match: putting something on the line that really hurts. Vikingo proposes that Dominik put his hair on the line right now, then gives Dominik two weeks to think about it before he signs the contract for their match.
Backstage, "All Ego" Ethan Page finds out from Chelsea Green that she has a boot on her foot, then La Hiedro takes the phone out of his hand and tells him that nobody knows more about the mixed tag titles than she does. She then leads Ethan Page to the ring.
We see Lola Vice, both El Grande Americanos, La Parka and Mr. Iguana at Royal Rumble.
Mr. Iguana and Lola Vice beat "All Ego" Ethan Page and La Hiedra to become the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions! During the match, Ethan Page takes La Yesca away from Mr. Iguana, then Lola Vice shoves La Heidra into Ethan Page, knocking him off the apron and La Yesca back into Mr. Iguana's hands. Lola then roundhouse kicks a distraught La Hiedra in the head to win the match and the titles.
Backstage, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio meets with El Grande Americano and wants to know why he is such a fan of his father Rey Mysterio. El Grande Americano mentions his reasons, and Dominik reminds him that if he wins Rey de Reyes, he will have to face him for the AAA Mega Championship. Dominik Mysterio leaves, then El Grande Americano is then attacked by the original El Grande Americano and handcuffed to a nearby basketball hoop. El Grand Americano II is forced to call Los Americanos (Rayo Americano and Bravo Americano) for help.
El Grande Americano I takes the place of El Grande Americano II in the next match, much to the fans' irritation.
El Grande Americano I beats Octagon Jr., Dragon Lee and Rey Fenix in a Rey de Reyes qualifier. During the match, El Grande Americano II is freed from the handcuffs with help from Rayo Americano and Bravo Americano, and after the match, El Grande Americano II goes after El Grande Americano I and chases him out of the ring to end the show.
