Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for January 11, 2025

The show starts with AJ Francis stepping out of a limousine.

#24 "The GunShow" Brett Michaels wins the 2024 Grind City Rumble after last eliminating #29 "The Chosen One" Zay Washington, even after "The Problem" Aaron Roberts shows up to hold GunShow down only to be inadvertently roundhouse kicked in the head by Washington. After the match, a livid Aaron Roberts tries to get in the ring, and he has to be held back while referees have to keep The GunShow away from Roberts and restore general order.

Also during the match:

#5 Ray Ray Sanders is attacked from behind by Sycho Simon with Derrick King's retirement plaque. Sycho Simon is soon forced out by security, while Ray Ray Sanders receives medical assistance.

Van Vicious, who has not been seen in months, shows up unannounced between #10 and #11. He almost immediately attacks and eliminates #10 Ray Collins, then sends The Hollywood Clique ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Ray Collins, Secret Service) into a retreat.

AJ Francis enters at #23 and eliminates #18 K-Toomer with the help of everyone else. He also eliminates #21 The Shocker. He is eliminated by #25 Big John Dalton following the distraction by #27 Joe Hendry, but later returns to eliminate Hendry as well as Big John Dalton.

Buff Bagwell guests on commentary when Big John Dalton enters at #25.

Joe Hendry enters at #27 and eliminates #22 Colton Cage and #28 Marko Harris. He also provides the distraction to allow #25 Big John Dalton to eliminate #23 AJ Francis, who later returns to eliminate Hendry as well as Big John Dalton.

EPW Champion Marko Harris enters at #28, but is eliminated by #27 Joe Hendry.

Near the end of the match, two individuals who are supposed to be in the match are revealed to have been attacked backstage. It is later revealed to be "The Chosen One" Zay Washington and Denzel Rollins, who enter at #29 and #30, respectively. Washington eliminates #26 Tim Bosby, but he and Denzel are eliminated by eventual winner #24 "The GunShow" Brett Michaels.
