Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for October 22, 2014

The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) beat The Bro Mans (Jessie Godders and DJ Z) to continue to the second round of the eight-team tag tournament for #1 contendership for the TNA World Tag Team Championships.

Bram shows up, calls himself a "hardcore legend," and says that Devon is his next victim. Devon shows up and fights Bram until security breaks it up. Kurt Angle shows up and makes this match official...and it's going to be a hardcore match.

Brittany finds Samuel Shaw, and asks him if he's going to do what they talked about tonight...

Low Ki announces his partner for this tag team tournament is...Samoa Joe.

Samoa Joe and Low Ki beat Gunner and Samuel Shaw with the Rear Naked Choke to continue to the second round of the eight-team tag tournament for #1 contendership for the TNA World Tag Team Championships, after Brittany distracts Gunner by grabbing his leg, allowing Samoa Joe to beat Gunner by submission. After the match, Gunner repeatedly tells Brittany to leave Samuel alone. As he does, Samuel leaves the ring shortly only to come back with a steel chair, which he smashes repeatedly into Gunner's back. After this vicious attack, Samuel Shaw and Brittany wildly make out in the ring.

Ethan Carter III has a partner for tonight's tag team tournament...Tyrus. He also challenges Rockstar Spud to find a partner, enter the tournament and take him on, but says Spud is scared and he can't do it.

As MVP says that Lashley will prevail against Bobby Roode again next week, Kenny King announces he and MVP are in the tag team tournament.

Rebel is scheduled to face Angelina Love tonight, but Havok shows up instead and destroys her. Then Gail Kim arrives and tries to fight her off. The brawl goes back and forth until officials are able to break it up.

Bram beats Devon in a hardcore match thanks to Magnus bringing in a kendo stick.

Mr. Anderson talks to Chris Melendez about the tag team tournament. When Anderson mentions that MVP and Kenny King are their first-round opponents, Melendez jumps in to become Anderson's partner.

MVP and Kenny King beat Mr. Anderson and Chris Melendez to continue to the second round of the eight-team tag tournament for #1 contendership for the TNA World Tag Team Championships.

Eric Young wants Rockstar Spud to gather his courage and take on Ethan Carter III in the tag team tournament. Spud feels he doesn't have what it takes to be a wrestler, and Eric Young follows him, feeling that if Spud can't figure out that slapping EC3 was the best thing he's ever done, he'll have to show that to him.

The Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards) can't wait for their next opponents. After cutting their backstage promo, "The Cowboy" James Storm tries to proselytize Davey Richards into joining the Redneck Revolution...

When Eric Young shows up to take on Ethan Carter III and Tyrus in the tag team tournament and announces he's Rockstar Spud's partner, EC3 cracks up as Spud fails to show up. Ethan then proceeds to verbally crap on Spud, saying that Spud fears him, Tyrus and virtually everything until Spud's music hits again...and Spud actually shows up.

Ethan Carter III and Tyrus beat Rockstar Spud and Eric Young to continue to the second round of the eight-team tag tournament for #1 contendership for the TNA World Tag Team Championships.

Kurt Angle shows up and brings out Bobby Roode and Lashley for the contract signing for their match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship that happens next week, but before he does, he mentions that he has added a stipulation that neither party knows about. After some final statements from both Roode and Lashley, where Roode reminds Lashley that he was close to winning the first time and MVP says that Lashley is more machine than man, Roode and Lashley sign the contract (with the latter signing after MVP doesn't want the match to go on) after Angle reveals the stipulation: MVP and Kenny King are banned from ringside, and Angle himself is the special guest referee!
