Bash At The Beach 1999 - The Results

It is announced that Kevin Nash can be pinned by Sting in the match between the team of Kevin Nash and Sting and Team Madness ("Macho Man" Randy Savage and Sid Vicious), and if Sting, Sid or Savage pins Nash, he can win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. It is announced that Hak's challenge to a hardcore match in a junkyard is non-sanctioned and is christened "The Junkyard Hardcore Junkyard Invitational."

"Mean" Gene Okerlund plugs the WCW Hotline with details on who is backstage tonight, with the news on who is there sending repercussions across the wrestling world.

Mike Tenay is at the site of the Junkyard Hardcore Invitational. The site is a ring of automobiles where the rings will take place. It is announced that a dozen wrestlers will be in the match, and that wrestlers that are not affiliated with WCW might even be there. To win the match, you must escape the ring of cars, find a steel fence and climb up and over it to ensure victory.

Before the next match, Ernest "The Cat" Miller says that he can dance and that he is the greatest dancer in the world, but he is a bad man and he would whup every redneck here if he had time. He will show just how bad he has by having another dance competition before calling his mama and whupping somebody. When Disco Inferno shows up, The Cat says he will give him another opportunity to show the people how sorry he is by holding another dance competition where Disco has another chance to beat him at shaking his booty and The Cat won't have to whup him. The Cat says that everyone will vote for him because he is the greatest dancer, and if they don't, he will get his karate gi and whup everybody here. The Cat goes first, but he gets booed. Disco tells him to watch how to do it. Disco barely gets started, and dares him to bring it on, knowing The Cat will attack him right away. He does, and their match starts.

Ernest "The Cat" Miller beats Disco Inferno by putting on one of the red dancing shoes and using it as a weapon.

Retired boxing judge Mills Lane is interviewed by Mark Madden for WCW.com. Lane says there is certain protocol and follow and says there will be a little more leeway than he is used to, but he will not take any crap and if he has to chase after. He respects the athletes, and will allow for a little bit of slack, but he will not take anything from them or else the fight will be taken from him.

Rick Steiner retains the WCW World Television Championship against Van Hammer.

Before the next match, Rick Steiner says the game has changed and that he and Scott Steiner do whatever they want because nobody can do anything about it. If anyone has a bad attitude, all they have to do is bring it to the ring and he will stick it where the sun doesn't shine. If anyone wants some, they can come get some. If they don't like him, they can bite him.

Mike Tenay is with referee Scott Dickinson at the site of the Hardcore Junkyard Invitational. He says that running down the the roster for this match will be impossible, and that the only thing that is for certain is that all participants involved are no stranger to hardcore wrestling. It is also awarded that whoever wins this match will win the trophy that stands in front of Dickinson.

David Flair retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Dean Malenko. During the match, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair tries to get involved only to get punched by Malenko. "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson then takes out referee Johnny Boone. Charles Robinson rushes in after this and rips the referee shirt, putting it on as Malenko slams Asya and puts her in the Texas Cloverleaf. "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair nails Malenko in the back of the head and pulls David Flair over to Malenko for the pinfall.

The No Limit Soldiers (Rey Mysterio Jr., Konnan, Swole, B.A.) beat The West Texas Rednecks (Curt Hennig, Barry Windham, Kendall Windham, Bobby Duncum Jr.) in an eight-man elimination match, with Rey Mysterio Jr. and Swole as the surviving members. During the match, Bobby Duncum Jr. tries to get back in the ring after getting eliminated, but he is taken out by Chase and 4x4 of The No Limit Soldiers. The same fate also befalls Kendall Windham after he gets eliminated. Barry Windham is eliminated when he is carried out of the ring by Chase. Konnan follows him and 4x4 to the back, and also gets counted out and eliminated. Kendall Windham gets back in, but he is chased back out by Chase. Hennig tries to get out of the ring as this happens, but his way is blocked by 4x4, and Swole yanks Hennig back into the ring. Swole and 4x4 hit Hennig with an assisted splash from Swole's shoulders to win the match.

Fit Finley barely escapes the trunk of a junked taxi cab that is sent into a crusher by a forklift to win the Hardcore Junkyard Invitational. Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) make a sudden appearance in WCW for the first time since leaving the World Wrestling Federation to take part in this match.

Before the next match, Diamond Dallas Page says he is disappointed with everybody in the crowd after all the time he has been there for him. One time they loved him; now they hate him. One thing is for sure: they will never forget him, as he is the greatest two-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion and The Triad (DDP, Kanyon, Bam Bam Bigelow) is the greatest trifecta in the world.

The Triad (Diamond Dallas Page, Kanyon, Bam Bam Bigelow) retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships against Perry Saturn and "The Crippler" Chris Benoit. During the match, Saturn knocks DDP's feet into the face of referee Billy Silverman, knocking him out. This allows Kanyon to grab a fistful of powder and throw it into Saturn. This powder also hits the eyes of DDP, who accidentally hits Kanyon with a Diamond Cutter. Benoit goes for the pin, but Bigelow places Kanyon's foot on the bottom rope. Shortly afterwards, DDP throws a trash can into the ring, and hits Benoit in the head with it. He accidentally hits Kanyon too when Saturn ducks, but Bigelow and DDP hit a double-team Diamond Cutter on Saturn. Bigelow rolls Silverman on his stomach from ringside, Silverman makes the count and The Triad retain the tag titles.

Before the next match, Buff Bagwell says it has been no secret that WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and WCW Vice President "Rowdy" Roddy Piper have double-teamed, triple-teamed and did whatever they could to get their way. Since Flair is in Piper's corner, Buff has brought his own cornerperson: his mother Judy Bagwell. Flair tells Bagwell that nobody will think any less of him if he heads to the back and tells everyone he is sorry, but if he goes on with this, he won't help him, and neither will his mother. Buff tells Flair to rewind the tape back to three weeks ago, when he took the Buff Blockbuster. Special guest referee Mills Lane gives the pre-fight instructions, and the match is on.

Buff Bagwell beats "Rowdy" Roddy Piper in a boxing match with Mills Lane as the special guest referee. Between the first and second round, WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair sprays a substance on Piper's gloves between the first and second rounds, and when Piper punches Buff at the start of the match, the substance blinds Bagwell. When Mills Lane confronts Piper, Piper puts his gloves behind his back so that Flair can wipe his boxing gloves clean. Judy Bagwell wipes the substance off Buff's face, and he is able to survive the second round. When Piper punches Buff before the bell rings for the third round, Judy Bagwell bits Piper in the ear before putting the spit bucket on Piper's head. Buff punches Piper, then then punches Flair when he gets on the apron. Buff then hits the Buff Blockbuster, and it suddenly becomes a wrestling match as Miller does the three-count. After the match, Judy Bagwell takes one of the spit buckets and tries to toss the water at Flair.

At the start of the next match, Gorgeous George - who now has a black eye - walks over to Kevin Nash and Sting's corner. "Macho Man" Randy Savage confronts Nash at ringside, and Sting attacks Savage from behind, getting the match truly started.

Team Madness ("Macho Man" Randy Savage and Sid Vicious) beat Kevin Nash and Sting after Gorgeous George turns against Kevin Nash, hitting him with a low blow. Sid slams Nash to the mat, then Savage hits the elbow from the top rope and gets the pinfall to win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.
