Slamboree 1999 - The Results

"Mean" Gene Okerlund plugs the WCW Hotline.

The team of Raven and Saturn beat The Four Horseman ("The Crippler" Chris Benoit) and the team of Rey Mysterio Jr. and Kidman in a Triangle Tag Team Match to become the WCW World Tag Team Champions! During the match, a man wearing a Sting mask, a Diamond Dallas Page shirt and a baseball cap pushes Kidman off the top rope, and Raven hits Kidman with an Evenflow DDT as Malenko has Saturn in the Texas Cloverleaf. Saturn fails to tap out before Kidman kicks out, and Raven and Saturn end up winning the titles. The man in the mask ends up being Kanyon, who has not been seen in some time.

Konnan beats Stevie Ray. During the match, Rey Mysterio Jr. shows up and takes down both Vincent and Horace Hogan outside of the ring, then jumps on top of Stevie Ray to help Konnan get the roll-up for the victory.

Rick Steiner is interviewed for WCW.com.

Bam Bam Bigelow and Diamond Dallas Page have a brief conversation backstage that cannot be heard, and they then go their separate ways.

Bam Bam Bigelow beats Brian Knobbs in a falls-count-anywhere hardcore match.

Rick Steiner beats Booker T to become the WCW World Television Champion after surprise interference from his brother Scott Steiner.

Rick Steiner finds Buff Bagwell as he looks for Scott Steiner, telling him to be careful during his match.

Before the next match, we find out that the big, muscular woman who has been hanging with WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair is named Asya (an obvious reference to Chyna from the WWF). Also, Charles Robinson is called "Little Naitch" and heads to the ring with a robe similar to Flair's that has "Little Nature Boy" on the back. Flair then announces as President of WCW that he has always wanted Madusa to "ride Space Mountain" and asks Miss Madness '99 to come with her to his hotel room - room number 2201 - before telling Gorgeous George he will leave her to Robinson. Robinson says that after this match, when he has her in the center of the ring in the Figure Four Leg Lock and she gives up, he will whip her up in his arms and they will ride Space Mountain together. Savage tells Robinson and Flair that they can say what they want, but Gorgeous George will kick Robinson's ass.

Gorgeous George beats "Little Naitch" Charles Robinson after constant interference from both "Macho Man" Randy Savage and WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair.

Scott Steiner retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Buff Bagwell. During the match, Scott Steiner uses the referee as a human shield. Buff Bagwell is about to use a steel chair introduced into the match by Scott Steiner when Rick Steiner shows up and tells him to go for the Buff Blockbuster. When he does, Rick hits Buff in the chest with the steel chair, then revives the ref so that Steiner can retain.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair beats "Rowdy" Roddy Piper to stay WCW President after referee Charles Robinson does not alow Flair to submit to the Figure Four Leg Lock, and Piper puts both "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and Asya in sleeper holds before Flair knocks Piper out with a foreign object he has pulled out from inside his trunks after Piper punches Robinson. Before the match, it is announced that Option 2 on the WCW Hotline is a new feature known as "The Ross Report" with Ross Foreman of WCW Magazine. On the Hotline, Ross interviews Kevin Nash. Shortly after this, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair uses his powers as WCW President to fire referee Johnny Boone, remove him from the match and replace him with Charles Robinson. After this, Flair dares Piper to talk to him, and Piper slaps him to start the match. After the match, Eric Bischoff suddenly shows up, tells Flair to shut the hell up, then tells Piper that he has screwed up times before, but he will not screw this up. He says that Piper won the match, and that Flair can bite him. Flair screams that he is the boss, but Piper tells Flair he is fired and Anderson that he can drive Flair home. Piper says he thought he would never say it, but he thanks Bischoff, and the two of them head to the back together.

Sting vs. Goldberg is thrown out. During the match, Bret "The Hit Man" Hart - who has recently quit the company - suddenly shows up, tosses referee Mickey Jay out of the ring and smashes a steel chair into the left knee of Goldberg, which is in a knee brace. After he leaves, The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner), suddenly re-united again, rush in and attack both Sting and Goldberg.

Kevin Nash beats Diamond Dallas Page by disqualification...almost. During the match, DDP uses wire cutters to cut off a turnbuckle cover and expose a steel turnbuckle, then lets referee Nick Patrick know about it. As he checks on it, DDP takes the microphone and hits Kevin Nash in the head with it. Nash kicks out, and when Page argues with Nick Patrick, Nash sends Page into the exposed turnbuckle bolt. Later on, Nash hits DDP with the Jackknife Power Bomb when "Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up yet again and attacks Nash in view of the ref, causing the match to end. Savage then hits Nash with the World title, then Eric Bischoff shows up with WCW security and ejects Savage from the ring. Bischoff tells Nick Patrick to restart the match and that there must be a winner, and the match is restarted. DDP swings a chair at Nash, but Nash dodges it and DDP accidentally hits himself in the head with it when it bounces off the top rope. Nash tries to use the steel chair, but DDP hits him with a low blow. DDP tries to use the chair again, but Nash boots it into his face before hitting the Jackknife Power Bomb. Kevin Nash beats Diamond Dallas Page, this time by pinfall, to become the WCW World Heavyweight Champion for a second time.
