Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for February 12, 1996

"Macho Man" Randy Savage beats Hugh Morrus after two elbow drops from the top rope instead of one. After the match, Savage says the ref is fight for saying he doesn't want Hugh Morrus; instead, he wants "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW Motorsports driver Steve Grissom at the entrance ramp. He's happy to be here tonight, and is excited about this year's racing season.

Loch Ness beats Scotty Riggs.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Woman, Miss Elizabeth and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Ric Flair is hidden under some covers on a gurney, and he pops out in a suit with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in his hands. Flair is ready to dance all night, but he has a return match with "Macho Man" Randy Savage for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship next week. Ric Flair isn't worried about the match, and tells Savage and Hulk Hogan that sometimes only a woman can say things as eloquently as they need to be heard. Miss Elizabeth says she had to walk behind Savage, stand in the corner and never open her mouth, and even though he took half of everything from their divorce, she took it all from him last night as she knows the World title was the most important thing to him. He says that Savage may have lived on the edge, he was really over the edge.

Konnan beats "Dangerous" Devon Storm. During the match, New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner (who is credited as the man who brought WCW to Tampa, Florida) is seen in the front row. Also, the commentators apologize if anyone took seriously their joking that WWF was responsible for the power outage on last week's Nitro.

"The Enforcer' Arn Anderson beats Hulk Hogan after "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, Woman and Miss Elizabeth show up. Ric Flair tries to interfere, but Hulk Hogan pins him down while putting Anderson in the Figure Four Leg Lock just to mock Flair. After this, Woman throws powder into Hogan's face, distracting the referee. This allows Miss Elizabeth to hand one of her boots to Anderson to hit Hogan in the face with behind the referee's back. After the match, Hogan quickly recovers and goes after Flair and Anderson. Savage shows up to even the score with Hogan, and Hogan runs Flair right into Savage and the steel chair he is carrying. Ric Flair rushes to the commentary table and tells Hogan he just got his ass kicked again and that he's got the girls and the gold and the wrestling world where he wants it. Anderson gloats about his victory, and Hulk and Savage run right to commentary, scaring Anderson, Flair, Woman and Miss Elizabeth away. Hogan and Savage take over on commentary, with "Mean" Gene Okerlund following close by for an interview as Hulk Hogan tells Anderson and Flair to get back here. Hogan says he will beat Anderson in a rematch next week while Savage takes the WCW World Heavyweight Championship back from Flair.
