Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for February 26, 1996

Sting beats Big Bubba.

In the March issue of WCW Magazine: exclusive photos from Starrcade 1995! The 1995 Year In Review!

"Mean" Gene Okerlund is about to interview Sting and Lex Luger when The Road Warriors (Animal and Hawk) show up. Animal and Hawk have nothing against Sting, but they know where Lex Luger stands and wants to know where Sting's head is at. Lex Luger says he and Sting will take them on anytime, anywhere for the tag team titles. Animal also says that Lex Luger isn't even from Chicago (where he is now billed from), and that the closest he's been to downtown Chicago is the laundromat as he has no idea of what it's like to scratch and claw for everything. Sting insists Luger is from the white-collar section Chicago at the insistence of Luger, and Luger he and Sting aren't scared of them because they're the tag team champs. Hawk says Luger reminds him of a washing machine, as he agitates him and Animal, and if he and Animal have to go to the Atlanta Zoo and knock out Willie B the gorilla, so be it. If Luger wants to get in a Chicago Street Fight with him and Animal for the tag team titles, that's fine with them. Luger accepts that challenge. Sting isn't exactly happy with Luger after this, as Luger has no idea what he's getting into as he doesn't know what a Chicago Street Fight is.

Lex Luger beats The Renegade with the Torture Rack after interference from Jimmy Hart. Sting confronts Lex Luger over aligning himself with Jimmy Hart after the match, and Lex Luger tires to deny everyrything, but Sting doesn't buy it.

The Road Warriors (Animal and Hawk) beat Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) when the ref is too busy with a downed Stevie Ray and Animal takes advantage of the situation. During the match, it is announced tat as per the WCW Executive Committee, the winner of this match will be #1 contenders for the WCW World Tag Team Championships and take on Sting and Lex Luger for the titles at Uncensored.

Hulk Hogan, "Macho Man" Randy Savage and The Booty Man beat "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and The Taskmaster. After the match, Miss Elizabeth handcuffs Hulk Hogan so he can't get out of the corner while Flair whips Hogan in the back with a belt.
