Extreme Nation - ECW on TNN recap for December 24, 1999

Joey Styles and "The Quintessential Studmuffin" Joel Gertner welcome everyone to tonight's show. Suddenly, Cyrus shows up and demands a re-do on the opening, as the office hated it. He likes Styles' part, but not Gertner's "dirty middle name," saying the office and the people are not buying and that he needs to do something fresh. Gertner tells Cyrus his dry Canadian humor is running thin and that there is no office. Suddenly, Cyrus reveals he works for TNN, not ECW, and tells Gertner to work on his shtick before introducing Masato Tanaka, who is seen sitting in the front row. Tanaka stands up, then "Judge" Jeff Jones shows up. He says that if anyone, whether it be Spike Dudley or Masato Tanaka or anyone in between, wants a shot at Mike Awesome and the ECW World Heavyweight Championship, they have to go through him. Spike Dudley shows up and hits Jones with a discus forearm before planting him into the mat with the Acid Drop. Mike Awesome then gets into the ring, forearms Spike, then tosses Spike into the front row where Masato Tanaka is sitting. Masato Tanaka jumps in the guardrail and gets in the ring with him, and both men fight. Security quickly moves into place to stop the brawl as soon as it starts, and Paul Heyman deamdns they wait for next week, but Cyrus tells Heyman that they built the company by giving the people what they want, and tells him to "have some balls" for the company. Paul Heyman makes the match official for right now.

Masato Tanaka beats Mike Awesome to become the ECW World Heavyweight Champion! After the match, Mike Awesome extends his hand, and both men shake hands before Mike Awesome personally places the ECW World Heavyweight Championship around Masato Tanaka's waist and raises his hand in victory before clotheslining Tanaka and hitting him with an Awesome Bomb through another table. The crowd chants "Awesome sucks!" as the locker room tends to Tanaka.

Mike Awesome confronts Cyrus backstage, pinning him to the wall and telling him that he not only does not care about the ratings, but he is going to "fuck things up" between ECW and FMW (Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling) by killing Masato Tanaka next week. Cyrus tells him that he does not have to wait until next week as Tanaka is right outside. This causes Mike Awesome to let go of Cyrus and run out of the dressing room, with "Judge" Jeff Jones not far behind. Cyrus has to get a drink of water afterwards.

Before the next match, Rhino, Steve Corino and Jack Victory come out of the locker room, with Jack Victory carrying a bloodied steel chair and Rhino sporting a bloodied right hand. Rhino guarantees Steve Corino that nobody will bother him again. Corino says it does not matter if it is Limp Bizkit, "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes or Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney: nobody upstages him. Jack Victory asks Corino if he has seen his wheelchair, then a bloodied Axl Rotten is seen crawling out of the locker room saying he will get them and kill them.

Super Crazy beats Ikuto Hidaka.

Mike Awesome confronts Lou E. Dangerously, then looks for Paul Heyman. "Jedge" Jeff Jones mentions being hit by the Acid Drop by Spike Dudley, and says he is the reason for Mike Awesome's success. Mike Awesome grabs "Judge" Jeff Jones, pins him to the wall and dares him to repeat that statement, and tells him that he will rip his throat out if he ever says it again.

We see The Impact Players (Justin Credible and Lance Storm). They say the clock is ticking and time is running out, and they will commit any crime to take the ECW World Tag Team Championships away from Raven and "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer at Guilty As Charged. We then see Da Baldies (Angel, Tony DeVito, Vic Grimes) attack a fan at ringside, then The Impact Players run into the ring and attack Raven before Da Baldies lay out Dreamer. Raven gets handcuffed to the entrance, then Justin Credible canes Raven in the head before saying "Quoth the Raven, never again!" Dreamer manages to crawl up the aisle and tend to Raven to end the show.

Extreme Nation - ECW on TNN recap for December 17, 1999

James Storm says he cannot believe that he and Justin Credible have to beat Chris Candido and Rhino to earn a title shot. It is not that they cannot beat them; it is that they should not have to. Since they do, Candido and Rhino will be victimized, and Tammy Lynn Sytch will have a reason to piss and moan. They're not looking past them; they're looking through them. Justin proclaims that at Guilty As Charged on January 9th, they will claim their destiny and become ECW World Tag Team Champions.

Backstage, Chris Chetti tells Nova that he is coming back tonight. Nova tells him to forget about it, as his back is nowhere near 100%, and asks him if he wants to be like The Dynamite Kid, Ricky Steamboat or "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, and tells him that the man he has handpicked for his partner is wrestling in his place tonight. Chetti tells his replacement he has one shot and one shot only, and if he screws Nova over, he will break his neck. He tells him he is with him. Chetti turns around to leave, asks if his replacement is checking out his ass, then says he can't blame him because his looks would turn a straight man gay. Chetti leaves, then Nova tells the guy that Chetti was dropped a little too hard on his head in wrestling school and his family is a little bit crazy.

Da Baldies (Tony DeVito, Angel, Vic Grimes) are in the ring. Tony DeVito says they are here tonight to stake their claim, and now the streets of Virginia belong to Da Baldies. He then says that if anybody in the back wants to fight for their turf, they will have to go through them, or more specifically, through him. The challenge is answered by none other than New Jack.

New Jack beats Tony DeVito. After the match, New Jack grabs a fork. He is about to drive it into DeVito's skull when Vic Grimes and Angel beat up New Jack from behind. Angel then staples New Jack's ear with a staple gun.

Tony DeVito issues another open challenge against Da Baldies for their torch. That challenge is answered by Mike Awesome.

Mike Awesome retains the ECW World Heavyweight Championship against Vic Grimes after putting Grimes through a table. "Judge" Jeff Jones puts Mike Awesome on a pedestal, then Spike Dudley shows up, kicks Awesome in the groin, hits him with the Acid Drop and leaves.

We are in the locker room. "Dastardly" Danny Doring says that tonight, he will cash in on the fringe benefits of being a professional wrestler. He then talks about his favorite subject: him. That gets cut short when he walks in on Roadkill, then Francine shows up wondering if he and Roadkill are done so she can take a shower. Elektra comes out and threatens to cut the "Danaconda" down to a garden snake if she ever catches him talking to another woman again.

Super Calo vs. Ikuto Hidaka vs. Tom Marquez ends with Sabu showing up with Bill Alfonso and attacking all three men in the match with a crutch and a steel chair. He eventually hits all three men with a springboard leg drop through a table.

The Impact Players (Justin Credible and Lance Storm) beat Chris Candido and Rhino to face Raven and "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer for the ECW World Tag Team Championships at Guilty As Charged after Lance Storm leaps over a Gore by Rhino, who then charges into Chris Candido. After the match, Storm says The Impact Players have proved that they cannot be denied and that they are the next tag team champions. He also says it cannot be denied that Justin Credible is the hardcore icon. The Sandman shows up through the crowd, then "The Sexiest Man Alive" Jason steps up to The Sandman as The Impact Players leave. Jason gets caned, but Justin Credible sneaks up on Sandman from behind and smacks him in the back with a Singapore cane of his own. Lance Storm sets up a table, but Sandman ducks a cane shot and Justin hits Storm instead. After a White Russian Leg Sweep on Storm, Rhino shows up and Gores The Sandman through a table.

Raven asks someone to understand that he is trying so hard to do the right thing, and he can't go through it again. He says he cannot fight "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer again, as it took so much out of him the first time, and now he is weak. He says Dreamer is too strong, and he cannot do it again. He says the funny thing is that he would lure Dreamer to his side, but Dreamer lured him to his. He wants to do the right thing and he is trying. He will be at Guilty As Charged, and they will get rid of The Impact Players (Justin Credible and Lance Storm), and he wants him to understand that he will be in his corner. We then see that he is talking to Francine, who replies "I understand. I really do."

Extreme Nation - ECW on TNN recap for December 3, 1999

Joey Styles and "The Quintessential Studmuffin" Joel Gertner introduce everyone to the show. The Impact Players (Justin Credible and Lance Storm), "The Sexiest Man Alive" Jason and Dawn Marie then show up. Justin says Joey Styles has the honor and privilege to be standing next to the ECW World Tag Team Champions, even though they are not the champions yet. Joey says they may be jumping the gun, but Justin says there are guys like Rhino and Steve Corino to take the bullet for them. Suddenly, Chris Candido, Rhino and Tammy Lynn Sytch show up, and Candido says that if anyone wants to talk about who is using who, he says Storm is only in ECW because he "carried [his] Canadian ass for a year and a half," and that Justin Credible is only in ECW because he brought him here. If anything, Chris Candido is using The Impact Players. Rhino just wants to kick their asses, and both teas go at it. Security immediately moves into place, but Tammy Lynn Sytch and Dawn Marie have a catfight where Tammy Lynn Sytch gets her dress torn up.

Backstage, Jack Victory asks Steve Corino what his problem is, as they have a match. Corino says he cannot concentrate, as there is a Limp Bizkit concert in the other building and the music and people are so loud he cannot concentrate on his match tonight. Meanwhile, Rhino is not paying attention to him and Tajiri lost at November To Remember. He plans to go to the concert and show everyone what he is all about, but when he asks Jack Victory if he is with him, Jack Victory tells him he is on his own.

The Sandman says Raven took his wife and child and even conned him into leaving ECW. Tonight, he will tkae Raven to the extreme.

Super Crazy beats Ikuto Hidaka.

Steve Corino says nobody is taking him seriously, so he has brought a cameraman to the Limp Bizkit show to prove that he is not a comedy act and that he is a force to be reckoned with in both ECW and the real world.

Steve Corino is at the Limp Bizkit concert. He berates a woman at the concert for not having any respect for herself, then calls the daning on the stage "disgusting."

Raven calls The Sandman "an abusive drunk just like his father," and talks about how his father used to come home from work, beat the crap out of him, smack him, whip him and slap him. He tells his dad he must be tough to beat up a seven-year-old and calls him a son of a bitch, then says his father failed at everything in life, lost him and his mom, then brings up The Sandman losing his wife and son as well. He laughs, then repeatedly says his father was an abusive drunk just like The Sandman, and the only reason he didn't kill his dad is because his dad died before he come up with a way to kill him and get away with it. He tells The Sandman he is not dead, but he was going to wish he was.

Steve Corino is on stage at the Limp Bizkit concert. A woman tells him to get off the stage, and when Corino asks her if she talks to her mother with that foul mouth, she moons him. Lead singer Fred Durst tells Corino to shut up, but Corino tells Durst to shut up for a second. He plugs ECW on TNN, then Durst says "this guy sounds like a faggot to me." Corino says he was wrestling in the other building, and all hed hear was 15,000 drunk, stoned concertgoers.

Cyrus talks with Jerry Lynn at the office, and asks what the deal is with Jerry Lynn and Tajiri. Lynn tells Cyrus to figure it out, but Cyrus says he is part of the creative department and that he can tell him. Jerry Lynn says "no," then walks off.

The Sandman beats Raven. During the match, Chris Candido and Raven get in the ring. Candido hits Dreamer with a low blow, then tosses him into Rhino, who Gores him. Rhino then gores The Sandman through a table, then Candido and Rhino leave. Raven then gets on top of The Sandman, but that only leads to a near-fall. After that, Lori Fullington, Sandman's ex-wife, shows up. She pulls Raven up, then low blows him. Then, Francine shows up and beats the crap out of Lori before hitting her with a DDT. Raven then hits The Sandman with an Evenflow DDT, but The Impact Players (Justin Credible and Lance Storm) show up "The Sexiest Man Alive" Jason and drag Dreamer out of the ring before pummeling him. Raven dives out of the ring and into The Impact Players to save Dreamer, then The Sandman swings a Kendo stick at Raven. Raven ducks, but get nailed in the head with another one by Justin Credible from the ring apron. Sandman hits the White Russian Leg Sweep and gets the win.

At the Limp Bizkit concert, Steve Corino calls Limp Bizkit lead singer Fred Durst the epitomy of what's wrong with the United States of America. Durst cusses him out, but all of a sudden, Balls Mahoney, Axl Rotten and New Jack all show up as Corino says that they are at the other building and that he would kick their rear ends if they were here right now. Durst holds Corino down as New Jack hits Corino in the head with a beer can before Balls Mahoney hits Corino with a chair. The show ends with Axl Rotten hitting Corino in the head with another steel chair.
